    Excellent video. Thanks for letting a us know which wires you connected too on the amp. Most videos skip over that detail.

    For some of these guys told you that you can't hook the ground to the battery they don't know how current flows especially when the battery is so close to the Amp

    Ground cable always to the frame of vehicle. Never straight to the battery AND ALWAYS USE FUSE. Also many E90 are different they does not have same type of amp in the back. It depends from your original buyer that what options she/he has put to the list from factory.

    • @jbcustomz6586
      @jbcustomz6586  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can grounds from either the frame or the battery, the frame get its ground from the mattery and if you listen clearly i said to use a fuse and where to connect it. I did it without a fuse since my amp is equipt with 2 60A fuse. Thanks for the feedback tho.

    • @djmalec
      @djmalec 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      He’s right, you shouldn’t ground an amp to the battery.
      Who told you that you don’t need a fuse at the battery? 😆
      Yeah your amp has Fuses, to protect just your amp
      Now where’s the fuse that’s protecting the rest of your system??
      You’re gonna be fucked if something shorts out

    You should wire remote to the cigarette lighter fuse it's better so runs by ignition

      Am i tapping into both sides of the isolator

    • @jbcustomz6586
      @jbcustomz6586  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. I just saw your question. So basically on one end of the isolator your going to have 2 Male plugs red + white which your going to plug into your amp. The next end is where your going to connect to the wires from the factory amp. The red wire on the isolator your going to cut it and separate it. After you separate it your going to have 2 wires inside that wire. Now connect them to the brown/yellow wire and the red/white wire on the factore amp, those are your left woofer wires. Next you will connect the white wire from the isolator to the red/blue wire and the brown/white wire from the amp, that is your right woofer wires. Let me know how it goes.

    Do not connect your plus to that point since that cable connects to the unit that cuts off your electricity if you crash, had lots off problems with this on my e87 before. The car would lose all electricity like the battery wasn’t even connected so learn from my mistakes and put it on the connector before the main fuses on the battery

      @@jhallibeats lol do you have back speakers you can you use that it isn’t that hard. Remember when I was 16-18 I didn’t it lol wasn’t the best but it worked nowadays I know where to splice but if I do I would have to get some splicers and tbh I wouldn’t put anything cheap in there anyways it would have to be top notch my bmw has the logic 7 so I do have the amp but tbh you probably did the best thing to leave it alone because you can really fuck some thing up messing with all those wires kinda sketch even if you do know

    Don’t wire the negative to your battery you’ll end up frying a lot of your electrical instead ground it on the top battery bracket screw you will find this to be a much safer place for the ground

      It should be in the same area as mine but under a black plastic cover with wires going to it. If u dont see it then maybe u dont have any because BMW was removing the Hifi systems from the newer cars for some reasons.

    Just installed my system at a shop and it says battery discharging while stopped. Have you had this issue? Any ideas?

    • @jbcustomz6586
      @jbcustomz6586  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      never had that issue before but a battery discharge sign means the charging process are being reversed and other electrical components such as your sound system are using up the current. there can be different reasons for that such as too much load on the battery, faulty battery and also faulty alternator.

    Jesus christ you need to bridge the amp and use the low pass filter. you also need to use the same size positive and negative wire. you need to use 4 gauge wire to the amp. better yet go to a stereo shop and ask for help or have a installer do the install. you are going to burn up your car.
