    Thanks for the guide, really helped me to fix my screen.
    It was mostly fine, but the person that owned it before me let it get way too scratched up, and I just couldn't ignore it.

      Did you manage to insert it with the little tab or do you have to insert the part with the little connectors?

    Thank you for the in detail guide. I just fixed a Vita after the former owner broke the screen while installing a protective case. There was tiny y shaped plastic bit on top of mine, to the right of the camera that wasn't present in your video, but I managed to pry it loose ans slot it into the new front. Also, my Vita had much more adhesive used which made the removal of the ribbon cable really fiddly. But in the end I managed and there is no longer a black tear in the middle of the screen.

    Really good guide. The ribbon cables were a b*tch to handle, especially the one connecting the two halves together. I feel like I messed up putting it back together because the sound isn't as sharp as it once was and sounds off, and the home button feels a tiny bit like it isn't out all the way. With all the internals and the fact I just put it back together I'm going to leave it as it is for now. Better than having the large line of dead pixels streaking across the screen.

      Clean the cartridges with alcohol and swabs, specifically the contact pin areas. Make sure the cartridge spot doesn’t have any debris either. If that still doesn’t work, I’d guess some broken contacts from the slot to the board?

    • @khan_xo
      @khan_xo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, the replacement part includes screen, digitizer, and front housing.
      You can use this for just a cracked screen or an unresponsive digitizer. You can also get just the screen/digitizer without the housing which I can link.

    • @khan_xo

      maybe the button is stick from a juice spill? you can try replacing the volume buttons or even just cleaning out the ones you have currently with some alcohol and air duster.

  • @justboredthings
    @justboredthings ปีที่แล้ว

    a little late but i just got a white/pink ps vita from japan and the white on the front is kind of yellowed. The white around the screen is fine, but the part around the buttons is a comepletely different colour. Not even patches but consistently, i hope you know what i mean. Anyways the replacement part in the video consists of front shell and screen in one and i was wondering if i can just pop the screen out and use a new front shell? In the video it looks like theres only one part so im not sure if its possible

    • @khan_xo
      @khan_xo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s possible but I’ve never done it. You maybe need to use some kind of glue to adhere the LCD to the front housing?
      I usually just get it already combined.

      if you are talking about the ribbon cable attached to the back housing, I think you would just have to replace the entire back housing. It shouldn't difficult to replace.
      Here is a link to black back housing, you are also welcome to find others:

    • @khan_xo
      @khan_xo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest it looks the exact same to me but I haven't done any thorough tests.
      However, on the white replacement screens, it does seem to be a bit yellowish and I am not sure if this is real or just an optical illusion due to being on a white housing.
