I know that if I am out of breath I cannot take more than 1 or 2 swallows of water. I am more apt to dump it over my head. That screams doping to me. How can this possibly be believed?? Its actually insulting that this guy is presented as clean. How can a pro with the same body type as many other climbers, be a world stronger than all his peers??
Why? If Pogacar attacked 80K from the finish, ala Floyd Landis, then you might have reason to whine. He attacked with 8K to go after riding within himself the entire ride. Clearly, he’s head & shoulders above the rest. Look at his history - he’s always been the best at every stage of racing. It’s not like he suddenly burst on the scene. He cut back on the number of racing days this season, his team has helped out more this year than ever before. He’s riding smarter & maximizing his efforts. The only stage where he attacked far out, he paid for it. When he has been strategic, no one can stay with his explosiveness. So, no his performance is not beyond reason. However, if you insist he’s on something, then, so is everyone else. Complaining about PED’s is a tiresome complaint.

Sadly Tadej's dominance reminds me a lot of Armstrong's. I remember just being blown away--as everyone else watching was--as Armstrong just blew by other riders like they were standing still--flying up mountain passes like they were flat country roads... crushing and demoralizing his "rivals". It was like watching Michael Jordan play--on a completely different level than virtually every other player in the NBA at that time. And I say "sadly", because the later revelation that Armstrong was a scumbag and a cheater ruined those experiences for me--and made me cynical and doubtful whenever witness similar feats--in any sport. I don't think Tadej is a doper in any way shape or form. But I also didn't think Lance was either. And that's the shitty thing about doping scandals and stripped titles and achievements: they create a cloud of suspicion an doubt around EVERY future achievement... by everyone. That being said--WOW! This guy really is from another planet or something.
Sadly most of the riders were on drugs in Armstrong's day. His team just had the best drug program. IF they were clean today then they wouldn't be breaking records.
You and the rest of the lynch mob who vilify Armstrong should learn more about the sport you're commenting on. Every top cyclist in TDF history did PEDs. I lived in France for decades and knew the lead motorcycle rider for the TDF who was good friends with all the winners in the modern era. They all admitted to doing PEDs. Eddy Merckx was caught... Anquetil admitted it and they all did amongst themselves but the judgmental critics who think they have the right to judge with a lynch mob mentality single out only one of them - Armstrong. What hypocrisy - when they all did it and everyone except for people like you and David Walsh admit it. The Euros didn't like an American dominating their sport on their home turf - so they went after him along with the jealous rivals like Lemond who conveniently became the top American when Armstrong was guillotined. Idiots do things like that - they have double standards and can't see the whole picture. The older generations of cyclists all had water bottles with a tube running down the side called a "dopette" through which the PEDs were administered. Nobody could win the race over hellish mountain climbs and endure 3 weeks like that without "assistance" - the human body is not capable of that kind of recovery and punishment. Wake up and smell the roses Boi - and get your head out of the sand. Lance was the greatest TDF rider in history... none of the others who did PEDs openly were stripped of their championships but him. Lance was scapegoated for being great. The whole peloton was on EPO at the time but home come he was the only one who got busted for it ? Were they better cheaters or was there a "fix" in to remove the American from the record ? I find it highly suspicious that none of the other "cheaters" are mentioned but the judgmental slimebuckets all love to single out Arnstrong, like the hypocrites they are. Get to know the sport better before you make such ludicrous comments again and stop turning a blind eye to everyone else who did exactly what Armstrong did with impunity.
@@cars2drive298 EXACTLY. If Lance had been a nicer / more gracious guy... like Tadej... he probably would still be in the record books--despite cheating for years.
It would have been a class move for Pogacar to lead Jorgenson to the line and then given him the win. It would have been a very un-Tadej like move, but he only would have lost 23 seconds in the GC while still displaying his dominance. They used to let the French win on Bastille day. It's a gesture. Tadej is a machine though, and you can't fault a machine for doing what a machine does. Impressive AF, but Jonas has proven to be more likable in his humanness.
Pogacar was "destroyed" by Jonas in the last 2 TDFs! Now it's "revenge" time! No "gimme" wins especially for a Jumbo cyclist! Had Tadej let Jorgensen win, that would be an insult for the latter!

In addition to team sports (football, basketball, handball), alpine skiing and ski jumping are popular in Slovenia. The highest peak in Slovenia is Triglav at 2,864 m. As soon as Pogacar leaves the house, he is already in the mountains. In relation to Pogacar, Vignegaard was born in Denmark. The highest peak in Denmark is 173 m. Look at a man that is about 4 min behind, win the race. Not out of breath, not bent over his handle bars, and then drinking a bottle of water within a min and a half of finishing. I know that if I am out of breath I cannot take more than 1 or 2 swallows of water. I am more apt to dump it over my head. That screams doping to me. Look at every rider but him just gasping for breath at the finish line. I am not a hater, I know there is doping and I cold give a rats ass who wins. I watch for the scenery, while my husband watches in memory of his father who loved the Tour and took him to it when he was about 10 years old along with his older brother. I haven’t watched really since 2007 when Armstrong and his doping days. there should just be two tours, one for cheaters and ones who are clean.

I'm not saying illegal but their is something un-natural going on with Pogacar, he looks as fresh as he did at the start...
How can this possibly be believed?? Its actually insulting that this guy is presented as clean. How can a pro with the same body type as many other climbers, be a world stronger than all his peers??
You know what is a biologic passport, right?
Look, those lead riders have been full gas trying to win that stage, while Pog sat back and waited to blow a hole into that group.

Tadej is not an asshole, that s a big difference 😂
How clean is cycling 10 percent on doping or higher or lower
