Thanks for the highlights. I can't quite share the media pundits' glowing enthusiasm for this year's race, however. The 2020-2023 Tour (and seasons as a whole) have been the most interesting in pro road cycling for years, but imo it's taken a dip this year, probably mostly due to the big names crashing earlier in the year. The classics lost their pizzaz once Van Aert crashed and couldn't be competitive, and it's been similar with the Tour and Vingegaard, although tbf he did give it a damn good go.

Deserved and fair winner Tadej Pogačar. Last year Vingegaard defeated Pogačar in the TT in Combloux by 1'38", arriving at the finish line exhausted and the other teams and Directors began to treat him as doping. The press rumored and the "fans" insulted him.
Now he even celebrated about the TT bike, I imagine they will say that Pogačar is super gifted, which he is. But since people are fans and not fans of cycling, the worrying thing again is the 2-10 differences. It doesn't seem like a professional race and the so-called best. World cycling event. Media yes...there is no doubt about that.

His impossible power output numbers already says everything. Kg/watts are determined regardless of bike tech, its pure power numbers, and he reached impossible numbers. Watch lance riding solo on climbs and how relaxed he looks, his face, posture and breathing, in contrast with his speed and the harsh gradients. Now look at how pog did mountains this year. Looks exactly the same. Theyre like ghosts floating uphill its freaky how easy they took on those gradients. Just flying while remaining seated.
Now the question as usual is how bad are the peds these days, and how many in the peloton are on it. Can it turn mules into champions and how accessible are they? Is this going to turn into another arms race where its a battle of getting the best doctors, connections to the uci, and pr handling?

I've never seen a cyclist "breathe hard". It's not how it works. I've not seen marathon runners breathe hard. Anyway, 2 days ago, L'Equipe said that they were a bit suspicious at Pogi's performances. But, why would he take a chance, knowing he's being watched, and take substances or ride a motor, when he can win without it, being 5 minutes ahead? What moron would do that?
One athlete stated that while in training, they may take substances to make it bearable, but are clean during the races. And that would go for all of them - if true. Next year, if V. wins, what will you people say? By today's standards and equipment, the climbs are no longer as difficult to climb.

My thoughts are that he is getting some form of medical treatment that is able to counter the damaging effects of hard physical activity and thus bs abld to start each day able to come out firing on all cylinders.
