John T Yeah, I don't even know Omega and paused the video at the beginning to try to guess. You can tell only by the positioning of the pearl on the bezel.

Fake watches are theft of a company's proprietary designs, no matter how you spin it. Even worse is when they are passed off as genuine on the second-hand market. I'd rather have a real Seiko diver's watch than a fake Omega.
What is the point of wearing a fake ? Why save the Gen Omega ? It's a watch that's built to be used. It is going to be serviced eventually and Omega will do a full restoration with removing all the scratches and replacing damaged parts if needed. I'd say use the GEN all You CAN !! :)
The one in the center probably has a ETA movement which ticks at 28800 bph, the genuine CO-AXIAL movement actually ticks at 25200 bph so I think you're right. Btw: NEVER buy a fake, it's a waste of fucking money! Even when it has a Swiss movement!
That was a feature that only applies for older model Omega watches and Speedmaster Moonwatches with crystals made out of the synthetic acrylic-based material hesalite. I scared the hell out of myself looking for that Omega watermark on my Planet Ocean before everyone on the watch forums and my Omega Authorized Dealer talked me off the ledge. My AD even opened my watch up so I could look at the movement.
Pretty easy to spot the genuine. Besides the bezel triangle and the cristal, if you look at the way the bands fit to the case you can see the genuine has smaller gaps.
the hour and minute hands on the middle replica looks way different to the genuine. In fact the older replica has closer looking hands, is it just the lighting or would u say that's true. Thanks
Hey man approximately how long did it take to receive your order from Trusty Time??? I just order the new ceramic bezel PO and I'm stoked about it getting here!
You also missed the hand size. I`ve never made a side by side comparison, but looking at your video I noticed the 2 replicas have the same hands, and the gen has much wider more defined hands.
You missed the one detail that distinguishes fake vs real... If you notice on the back of the watch on the outside rim right below the word ocean there is a laser engraving. If you magnify this small logo with the camera on your phone, it will show a planet with with two stripes sort of like a basketball and you will also notice a tiny star. I have never seen this engraving on a fake omega!

hey can you post the vid showing how to install antiglare protective film for omega po. just got my new omega v5 ceramic bezel glass back and raised metal 12,9,6 from trusty time. one word wowww unreal watch . to it to dealer and jewler put the new one beside mine and he thought mine was real from trusty time. great watch and service. was thinking about putting zagg antiglare protecting film like the one for iphones. really would like to see how you installed it on crystal and clasp.

I have a Skyfall REPLICA omega that i bought in Singapore. I bought it because i needed a timepiece while i was there and i didnt like the other watches on display. Plus the price was only 100$ US. It is just as accurate since it is the same movement in all Seikos and Timex. Do not go swimming with it as they are sealed but not fully. Maybe showering but not swmming. I do not think there is a real watch in Singapore. If you can find one, they are completely OVERPRICED. I love watches and do not feel ashamed wearing a replica. Eventually i will have the money to purchase the real thing but until now, it will do! And it does really well. Celebrities can wear any watch they want but i guarantee you 99% of them have no clue about the inner workings, movements, clasps, etc.... they just wear it cause its a few grand.
+Hollandtourist1 It is shameful to wear a fake, it makes you a fake! For the price of an original, retail, get good pre-owned. Most will come with the original box and papers as well. Better to have a cheap(er) real watch, than a fake. Or have a lesser brand which is 100% real, than 100% fake.
+LordDavid04 so by me owning a fake, that makes me a fake? I can almost guarantee you I know more about watches than you do.. Most owners of high end luxury watches don't know dick about it. Have no clue! I do not own an Omega right now because I cannot afford it. I have in the past owned several as I used to buy and sell them. I was able to purchase a nice replica while I was in Singapore and let me tell you, no one I talked with even noticed my FAKE watch... Even when I got back to the US. Not even customs so I highly doubt 90% of omega owners would even be able to tell.
demoman I currently own a broad spectrum of watches, including 2 Omegas (a Seamaster Pro and Speedmaster 3513) bought pre-owned with the boxes and papers. These watches compliment a collection which include watch brands like Vostok, which are not exactly high end horology. Omega is only high end if you buy the more expensive models retail. You can easily get recent discontinued models from the late 90's early 2000's complete with box and papers for a very reasonable price. So people don't notice your fake watch, big deal. The matter is that you yourself know that you're fooling yourself with that fake. I'd rather own a real watch from a lesser brand if I couldn't afford a high end piece.
+SENGVIN The best replica's are, (and if they aren;'t you can make you replica made waterproof by going to a watchmaker ( not all watches though ) with better gaskets ,0 ring around the crown etc. They will than test it in a pressure chamber and check for leaks. On the case back there should be a laser etching of the earth globe with the omega sign on the globe. Ive heard that its hard to replicate and I see that globe on the real watch. I couldnt see it on the other two, do they have it too? Plus, have you seen the watch movements of the fakes? I guuss its a lot different inside.
The third PO is a genuine PO. I bought it new at a Omega dealers and have already had it inspected by a Omega tech during the holidays. I know the reps are getting scary close, but I can tell a difference when I hold them. The main difference on how I can tell for sure when I pick up the watches is the bezel gem. For some reason the reps can't get the gem centered. On my site I have high res pics. keithhicksphotography com Other Omega-Seamaster-PO-455mm
Have you had to send in either of your reps in for maintenance yet? I'm looking at a watch at Trusty Time and I've heard mixed reviews on the Asian 7750 movement. Thanks for the awesome review!
I just purchased a Rep from someone else for $88 and it absolutely feels cheap. Does the V5 feel cheap? Or have the same weight/heft, manufacture quality as the Gen?
I just bought a Fauxmega Planet Ocean to see if I'd actually love the design enough to drop the thousands of dollars for a real one. A co-worker of mine just received a Fauxlex Submariner from the same company and that bad boy looked incredible. Say what you want about buying a knock-off, scratching a $160 watch versus a +$3,000 watch gives me peace of mind. The only exception is my authentic Luminox, it's got some decent battle damage to it and constantly stays dirty (it's a watch designed for the military so if it isn't scratched up you're not wearing it properly).
Why not a $20 homage that's a like a bad replica with a different name? Fake or replica is a crime by the maker and buyer. The homage will do the trick of testing whether you like the style and design well enough.
VIDEOSUPERHIGHWAY They fake the 8500 it's hilarious.. They take a Miyota movement and put a totally fake "cover plate" over the movement (fake jewels and all) to make it look like the 8500. It's so funny to me that someone would go this far to *pretend*.
elite kill I get that most people can't afford a genuine OMEGA, but you'd be better off buying a legit watch from a company in your price range. It's like the video creator said, replicas don't last any where near as long as genuines. If your replica dies every 5 years, than in 25 years you would have spent more money on 5 replicas than you would have spent on one gen.
I bought one of those as a real Omega years ago. It was perfect with all boxes and cards. Even my watchmaker on 47 in New York with 20+ years of experience in expensive watches had to open it to tell it is replica. I got my money back but it was ridiculously good. Even people dealing in watches everyday got confused. Mine was chrono with asian valjoux 7750. It had all omega markings but inside was kinda wrong and big 7750 on the movement is dead giveaway even for the watch noob. Nowadays you should be really vigilant buying on ebay and other sites from individuals and sometimes even reputable sellers might sell you a lemon.
You can collect this site www.viireplica . .com , which is the best wholesaler I have ever seen in China Local Market. whatsapp:+44 7841532507 Instagram:babyg9984
the replica game has completely changed from what it was a few years ago the new high end clones are made at the same spec as the genuine ones even accept GEN parts 99.9% of people wouldnt be able to tell the difference anyway i still think you should have at least 1 Genuine one and the high end clones as they come with reliable movements theres no such thing as a fake watch anymore its all about how much you want to spend i myself paid 5k for a rolex sub dont knock the the new swiss grade replicas until you try one
In most replica stores they show a real one and when you receive it its a shit. I only wear genuines, if i cannot buy for example a Perrelet i dont buy a replica, i just choose another cheaper and thats all.
Instead of watching TH-cam videos on fake watches and passing judgment on purchases other people make, you probably should invest your time learning how to spell. "Buyed"???? That is not even a word.
Evilcartmancobrathx, By the way, are these replica "planet ocean" really water resistant at all? In germany you would have a hard time to find a horologist that gives your replica's a service. they get a bonus from rolex,Glashütte etc. if they call the police and the replicas get confiscated
Larrypint that is probably the same case here. I've never bought one locally, only from Asia. Mail order only and the last one was 5 years ago. As for quality, you probably need to read up. I know some of the watch makers pressure seal and calibrate with pro equipment. A friend of mine has a 2008 rep submariner. He swims and showers with it everyday. Never leaked. Most people that think poorly of reps have never held a good one, just some $20 price of junk. Honestly, it is scary how close they were 5 years ago. That is why I made the video. It is not as obvious as it was historically. People can easily get ripped off. Whether people are against or for replicas, I just hope my video prevents someone from buying a fake for genuine price.
Recognized the real one as soon as the video started..lol.. The gen just looks so much sharper in all its detail on the dial and the pearl on the bezel is nicely centered.
+Imran Becks The bezel can be changed for about $40 to a real one. The crystal - another $40. The fake in the middle looks pretty sharp, so it will be almost impossible to tell the difference, unless you check the movement.
U can get it on Ioffer from china for less than 100 buck. They have a genuine automatic movt from seagull or some low quality movement. The band is solid, some even have solid end link. They look identical but feel and weight dif. They are not water proof (200m) but they do have a gasket and water will not get in if you take a bath with it. Unless someone steal your watch and look at it up close, it is impossible to tell the dif, using the naked eyes.
Seeing a ton of comments on- Are the fakes just as good? Can people tell the difference? Why would I pay so much more for the real thing? In a simple answer- don't buy fakes. It's not a matter of being snobby, or elitist to say that fake watches are not the real thing, nor should they be. The quality is not there, the longevity and life of the watch is nowhere near the real thing, and you do not get half the features with a fake. A real Omega/ Rolex will last decades. A fake will last months, maybe up to a year or two. The quality is so lacking in these fakes that it is not even a comparison when you get to the guts of the issue. Fakes are known to not have the water resist either of a genuine. One dip in a pool, and, like an old smart phone, these are done for. Are real luxury watches over priced? That depends. Yes, you are paying to a degree for the name, logo, advertising costs, overhead, etc... for that designer company, but you are investing in a quality piece, and a status symbol. If you can't afford the real thing, don't buy a fake. Get an homage instead. There is nothing wrong with an homage. Most watches have simply duplicated, reproduced, and copied designs from other watches for years now. Even the luxury watches do this, from watches that are much older than they. An Homage watch might look similar, but it is not an impostor. Homage watches are a tribute to a wonderful design, and they will more likely last longer, depending on the design. If you didn't go to Harvard, you wouldn't walk around with a Harvard class ring on, posing as if you did. That is just cheap and classless. Why do the same thing with a luxury watch? Obviously one can understand the perception of imposing these watches as status symbols, since they would go through the effort of faking it. Don't buy fake watches. They're just...bad.
+Chris Kragel 100% agree. If you want a good automatic watch for $100-200... get a seiko. They make a number of good time pieces for that price range that are better quality than the "replicas"
although I agree with you on some points, not so sure about others. Many of the more expensive replicas use genuine miyota movements (the 8215 in particular) which are pretty good in terms of reliability. That's all I wanted to say.
Some of the new replicas are using Swiss movements. Some are using high end Japanese movements. They are improving the quality all the time. But unfortunately, that completely misses the point. A replica Omega with a swiss movement will upwards of $500-700. Some might argue that this is a good deal, since it is only a fraction of the price of the real Omega. Taking the whole thing in perspective, you are still buying a fake. For that amount of money, you can buy a much nicer watch from a reputable company with a swiss movement, and not be throwing your money away on a replica in which the quality is not guaranteed. Many replicas have little to no water resist at all, either. Real Diver watches can be had for little more than $200. Better ones are more. But you are getting an actual name with the watch, instead of a fake in which you are trying to deceive those around you by passing off a replica as the real thing.
+Chris Kragel haven't heard of replicas using Swiss movements (wow). I agree with your point though. Currently I can't afford a real omega watch so I'm just drooling and watching until I can afford it. From all the watches that I've seen, the only ones I find attractive are the omega seamaster aqua terra (my father has one) and the seamaster 300 master. So I wouldn't settle for a cheap entry grade watch, because I don't like their look and style, which means I'll just keep on drooling for the time being. finishing my degree is the priority for now :p.
+Chris Kragel Agreed. Further, buying a genuine high end watch is not only to tell time, but it serves as a memorial when you reach a milestone in life. We can all get a quartz watch which will run for years. The point of getting one luxury watch is more than to read the time. Buying a replica might not give you the satisfaction you thought it would give.
So I hear you don't swim with the watch and you put clear vinyl on the band, if you're so worried about scratches you might as well leave the watch in its box.
I just received my trusty time watch...incredible! I have several expensive watches...I have to say this seamaster is one of my favorites. Great watch and great service.
I am sorry to say that after watching your review of the Omega Planet Ocean replica (I was very impressed by what you had to say), I went onto the Trust Time website and purchased the Swiss ETA movement (top of the line) diver watch by Rolex. Before I got a chance to adjust the metal watch band, the micro adjustment failed and within a week of use the unidirectional bezel lifted away from the watch face. Your selection of Omega watches appear just like they should - for a replica, but unfortunately this cannot be said for all of Trusty Times watches.
Replicas are not of the same standard/quality and cannot be worn/used as the authentic, however as most people do not utilize these authentic watches to anything close to their capabilities, some people will go for the replicas.
I will never ever buy fakes. For my daily drivers I use genuine respected watches like Vostok Amphibias, Seiko SKX007, Orient Mako blue dial and a Hamilton Khaki Auto with ETA 2824. I would rather save my hard earned money to buy a genuine Omega or Rolex, than fake useless crap. IMHO
Thanks for the video! Always interested to hear what people have to say in the comments too. I have a couple omegas (genuine), I also own a few replicas, and I've gotta be honest, if I look at the replicas just as a cheap watch not associated with a genuine brand, they're actually a really well built watch. And feel good to wear. I usually buy a replica of a watch that I eventually want to buy to get a feel of the size and look.
Thx you very much for making this video. Im might buy one of them 42mm. tomorrow, idk what year it is, but looks very similar the video. I got some bad pictures/ok, then i meet the watch ( School friend family) and I feeld some of the things u said, the second pointer its brigther than the nummers. I can see the dot in the triangle its in the middle. - Even though, for sake of both partners we going to open it and write down the serialnummer. I will sleep happy, if i get the watch for a nice price ;)
***** Really? Repeating youre because i decided not to waste even more time on you with an apostrophe? Please get a life and learn how to structure a sentence.
If you wear the replica your not obligated to take it off to give someone a better look at it anyway, it's nobody's business, there are so many with the real thing that have like yourself a replica to wear at certain times to keep the real one safe. Many wealthy people do this to, and the average joe can't tell someone into Horology and has studied the brand might but to get that close to a stranger to check they run the risk of being assaulted. I like your video
It's too easy to find out which one is the real one The saphire crystal of the real Omega watch is antireflection both sides (inside and outside). Then, the real one is the wristwatch of the right side
Milky James Even though I don't think you're supposed to advertise, wow those deals are insane! It's time for a new bag and a new watch! Have you ordered from them before? How do I know it's legit? How can they price that low?
Be careful with the websites selling the replica watches. Understand they aren't completely honest about what your getting for your money. Usually they will sell an A or B quality, for more profit. If you want a AA or AAA quality replica, unless they telling you you are getting that, your probably not. It's pretty easy to know based on the selling price. There are NUMEROUS factories making the replicas, and it takes a person that really knows the industry to know which ones are making junk, and which ones are making the best replica quality.
When you say "gin," are you saying "gen" as in "genuine"? Why don't you just say "genuine"? Why cheapen the watch with stupid word shortcuts? Why not say "on the ri, I have a gen Om wa, with ste band and or nums"? It is only irritating to not use your words.

I really enjoyed you're video. When engine is in you're newest replica?. Thanks
The hour hand in the middle is very thin compared to the real one.
I thought the biggest give away was the AR coating on the gen was really good compared to the rest.
What is the website for buy this replicas?
I bought one on BUISTORE ,it takes 7days to USA .
Very crazy that long time when i get it .Any other site is more fast ?
lol dude I'm waiting 1-2 months for deliveries from china.
where did you buy the fake ones from ?
***** Well maybe he's after a link to the site without watching a 20 minute video. Fucking prat.
What website ?
The 8500 models are going to be tough to fake due to the clear case back as well.
VIDEOSUPERHIGHWAY They fake the 8500 it's hilarious.. They take a Miyota movement and put a totally fake "cover plate" over the movement (fake jewels and all) to make it look like the 8500. It's so funny to me that someone would go this far to *pretend*.
yeah but it still would look so fake it would be hilarious.
VIDEOSUPERHIGHWAY They do! :) Sadly it would be enough to fool most of the population though.
I’ve seen a 8500 replica.. It’s not as obviously fake as you might think.. Fakes are getting real close and harder to tell apart
VIDEOSUPERHIGHWAY the fake 8500’s are super close now. Unless you had a gen side by side you’d struggle to know
how much did the clone cost you??
many asian website sells them

Why would you want to buy a fake watch...?
because not everyone can afford a real one!! just like people buy fake iphones
elite kill I get that most people can't afford a genuine OMEGA, but you'd be better off buying a legit watch from a company in your price range. It's like the video creator said, replicas don't last any where near as long as genuines. If your replica dies every 5 years, than in 25 years you would have spent more money on 5 replicas than you would have spent on one gen.
genuine break too!!! even omegas does break in 25 years i would had rolex, tag heuer, omegas, breitling, cartier and the list goes on heehhe
Easy to spot- clearer. Got that right and on an iPhone screen. Besides, it's how you feel too?
Love the review man. I'm very tempted to cash in on a Planet Ocean Swiss rep. So Trusty time is the way to go? Safe purchasing and all that?
The steel is not the same actually, the replicas probably are 316L (or 220L if a cheaper copy) steel while the genuine is 440L higher grade steel.
Where did you buy it?
You can collect this site www.viireplica . .com , which is the best wholesaler I have ever seen in China Local Market. whatsapp:+44 7841532507 Instagram:babyg9984
what is an Omega Gin?
gen=genuine
the replica game has completely changed from what it was a few years ago the new high end clones are made at the same spec as the genuine ones even accept GEN parts 99.9% of people wouldnt be able to tell the difference anyway i still think you should have at least 1 Genuine one and the high end clones as they come with reliable movements theres no such thing as a fake watch anymore its all about how much you want to spend i myself paid 5k for a rolex sub dont knock the the new swiss grade replicas until you try one
Where did you buy?
Jareds in Houston. I recommend JomaShop now.
those are dam good replicas, what price should I expect to pay?
so which is the genuine?
Dead giveaway is the top center dot. It is only centered on the real one.
In most replica stores they show a real one and when you receive it its a shit. I only wear genuines, if i cannot buy for example a Perrelet i dont buy a replica, i just choose another cheaper and thats all.
Cause you're a dumbfuck who buys from dhgate and aliexpress ahahahahaha
price?
I put three different links in the description. Pre owned older model (like mine), new model and 42mm
Is the gin the real one?
gen...as in genuine.
Instead of the replicas you could have bought a seiko skx, hamilton ,steinhart, junghans max bill or Junkers Bauhaus.
Instead of watching TH-cam videos on fake watches and passing judgment on purchases other people make, you probably should invest your time learning how to spell. "Buyed"???? That is not even a word.
Evilcartmancobra lol,
english is just my 3rd language, you even speak a 2nd?
.
Larrypint in that case. You are doing good. :)
The gen just looks so much sharper in all its detail on the dial and the pearl on the bezel is nicely centered.
only people who own or know the watch could recognize it!
I guessed the right one was the real one too for the same reason straight away
***** not really, if u see a celebrity wearing a rolex u will say thats for sure a real deal........it really depends whos wearing
+Imran Becks The bezel can be changed for about $40 to a real one. The crystal - another $40. The fake in the middle looks pretty sharp, so it will be almost impossible to tell the difference, unless you check the movement.
Andrew has excellent customer service and his watches are spot on. Good review.
beat rate on the real Omega is 25,200, the fake is actually 28,000.
its easy to see in the video, too
Which means the illegal version sweeps smoother. Imagine that.
ANYONE can tell me the website where I can buy replicas ???
wish.com
+Minh La very funny....! But, seriously anyone? Any places inside good old world wide web ?
+ABOUT NOTHING just type in replica watch on your search engine
+sapper steve then I see bunch of fake scams where you only pay with Western Union or money order? Been there done that. Any reliable sellers ?
SS J thanks for that info.I've seen the sites but I've never tried to buy luckily!
The two reps tick 8 times per second. The gen is 7 ticks.
Would an average watchmaker be able to tell the difference easily, or would he be fooled by the high quality rep. (Not just this one but in general)
They just came out with the new NOOB PO with the clear glass back. It looks awesome. you on RWI?
Great review btw.
Fake watches are of poor quality. They won't last.
Replicas are not of the same standard/quality and cannot be worn/used as the authentic, however as most people do not utilize these authentic watches to anything close to their capabilities, some people will go for the replicas.
Does he have a shop on Ebay. I went to w w w .trusty time . com from Australia and I can not open the website?.
He said 33,000 BPM lol that'd be a George Daniels miracle from heaven
I will never ever buy fakes. For my daily drivers I use genuine respected watches like Vostok Amphibias, Seiko SKX007, Orient Mako blue dial and a Hamilton Khaki Auto with ETA 2824.
I would rather save my hard earned money to buy a genuine Omega or Rolex, than fake useless crap. IMHO
You give a Rolex or Omega watch to your daily Uber drivers? Why?
well they are not useless craps, many replicas can last a life time
Thanks for the video!
Hi, where did you get them?
Thx you very much for making this video.
Im might buy one of them 42mm. tomorrow, idk what year it is, but looks very similar the video.
I got some bad pictures/ok, then i meet the watch ( School friend family)
and I feeld some of the things u said, the second pointer its brigther than the nummers.
I can see the dot in the triangle its in the middle.
- Even though, for sake of both partners we going to open it and write down the serialnummer.
I will sleep happy, if i get the watch for a nice price ;)
I don't feel comfortable buying a fake, it's plain wrong. Does the guy do a sterile/homage version instead?
Youre stupid.
*****
Really? Repeating youre because i decided not to waste even more time on you with an apostrophe? Please get a life and learn how to structure a sentence.
If you wear the replica your not obligated to take it off to give someone a better look at it anyway, it's nobody's business, there are so many with the real thing that have like yourself a replica to wear at certain times to keep the real one safe. Many wealthy people do this to, and the average joe can't tell someone into Horology and has studied the brand might but to get that close to a stranger to check they run the risk of being assaulted. I like your video
Yeah, explain that to border control. "I wear a replica for travel because when I am in Switzerland I always get robbed".
It's too easy to find out which one is the real one
The saphire crystal of the real Omega watch is antireflection both sides (inside and outside).
Then, the real one is the wristwatch of the right side
Now the guys who made Copies just saw where to improve to perfection. Next time you will not be able to see the difference again.Lol!!
You will see it when you service your fake omega watch to the omega. They will tell you it's fake
Is it that hard to say 'Genuine'?
They're all real!
yes .guy.the same watch on yourluxworld have a discount you know .maybe you can have a try.
Milky James
Even though I don't think you're supposed to advertise, wow those deals are insane! It's time for a new bag and a new watch! Have you ordered from them before? How do I know it's legit? How can they price that low?
yes, all are real, all of em exists, ahahahahah.
Do you enjoy wearing the fakes as much as the genuine?
Be careful with the websites selling the replica watches. Understand they aren't completely honest about what your getting for your money. Usually they will sell an A or B quality, for more profit. If you want a AA or AAA quality replica, unless they telling you you are getting that, your probably not. It's pretty easy to know based on the selling price. There are NUMEROUS factories making the replicas, and it takes a person that really knows the industry to know which ones are making junk, and which ones are making the best replica quality.
The genuine article is completely plated with Rhodium on all the stainless parts. Wat to expensive for a replica to do this.
When you say "gin," are you saying "gen" as in "genuine"? Why don't you just say "genuine"? Why cheapen the watch with stupid word shortcuts? Why not say "on the ri, I have a gen Om wa, with ste band and or nums"? It is only irritating to not use your words.
Where is the replica???
