Tourmalines are sometimes underappreciated, probably because they are often used as a budget replacement for more expensive stones. But their own colour range is unmatched. Like those hot pink ones that you can sometimes get with both orange and purple glow? Absolutely stunning! Waiting for your Paraiba meterial.
@@DominiqueFlux I do, I really enjoy your conversation with Lauriane Lognay. I even added her in my IG account. She is very nice. I thank you Dominique for having these vlogs because you have shared and many people around the world learned sooo much.
I wish you can have another episodes about Lab grown rubies and sapphires. I do not want to shell a hell load of money for rubies and sapphire like thousands and thousands, I find it more practical for Lab grown and enjoying its inclusion free gemstone rather than habing natural earth mined with lots of inclusions and struggling to find a high quality that you have to spend sooo much only a a carat or two
I just discovered this channel and really love it...for the valuable information and for the very fun commentary of the two lovely lady experts. I have been a collector of gem crystals since age twelve. I am now /9.
@@DominiqueFluxI would like to sale some..Do you buy gems?My father Is a Gemologist and picks them out and sends them to me.Let me know how I can get intouch!:)
I have some beautiful tourmaline in most colours and some big the majority VVS/eye clean. It is as another mentioned a very underrated stone. The tones of blue tourmaline (indicolite) can range from pale to almost cornflower.
Thank you so very much. Informative and enjoyable. Would love to see a video about Topaz, Imperial topaz, london blue and any other color and variety of Topaz. Thanks.
That’s what I was wondering too, indicolite is my favorite! And they didn’t mention dravite or petrol - yellow/gold/brown, verdelite - green, achroite - colorless etc. In geology we differentiate more than in gemology, I guess.
because names for gemstones are REALLY important for marketing and retailing them.....some people won't buy Zircon because they immediately think of "fake" diamonds or cubic zirconias....ppl won't buy Zoisite because it sounds similar to "suicide"-so it's renamed "tanzenite".....The problem with the name Indicolite is that most ppl don't know what that is - whereasif you say "sapphire" blue tourmaline - their ears perk up instantly
@@donmacquarrie9161 that’s a good explanation. Indicolite is growing in notoriety though so it will probably be more recognizable to people as time goes by.
I watched this yesterday. My tourmaline collection is getting a little out of hand. I did just add a bright neon green pariaba type from Mozambique today. I just love tourmaline!
This is what I’ve been looking for. I recently gambled on a massive tourmaline matrix cluster 35 some pounds and the gamble paid off. I would truly love to get your opinion on it. I think origins Madagascar or Brazil.
It all depends on cut color clarity. pure clear tourmaline is extremely rare -however the retail market price suffers because white gem stones are always compared and graded second rate to diamonds.
You are not talking about tourmalines if you don't mention Nigerian tourmalines. Nigeria is a large producer of higher quality tourmalines to the world gem market
Any body interested on below gemstones. I bought a land in African and I discover below gemstones and gold 1]zircon 2] tourmaline 3] garnets 4] green tourmaline 5]sapphire 6]tsavorits 7] amethyst 8] spinel 9]Quartz 10]Peridot 11]Gold

Great video! 🤩 💎
Thank you!!!
Why didn’t you say indicolite for the blue but used “sapphire” blue?

Hahaha I love that! Very cool you have so many!
When you do your pariaba video, could you please discuss how the difference in color and inclusions affects the price.
Yes for sure! It will be an exclusive deep dive just for Paraiba so we will cover everything!

You saw someone on ebay selling glass with sharpie on it ?
Gemologist's do not do eye sight identifications usually.

❤❤❤ can u do a video on serendibite
And the price for black Tourmaline?please I want to know.
It's probably around 25-50$ a carat, it's inexpensive
Got a lovely 2.95 carat eye clean olive-y pine green tourmaline, emerald cut. I think itll make a great stone for a signet ring 🤩
Very nice!
What is the price of natural white top quality tourmlin 10 carat
It all depends on cut color clarity. pure clear tourmaline is extremely rare -however the retail market price suffers because white gem stones are always compared and graded second rate to diamonds.
Love tourmaline :D
And the prices for pink/green tourmaline?
200 to 400 a carat. Higher if it is a larger stone, 4 carats or more.
I have an alexandrite stone, would you like to buy it..? I'am from indonesia
If i have land where you can mine the tourmaline, would you be interested in investing?

5:45 that's not really an attractive paraiba tourmaline color I doubt it is worth $30,000 dollars not even a few thousand dollars.
