    This is terrific and concise rundown for beginners. Thank you. I have been shooting in Tripod Mode with my Mavic Air. Thanks for pointing out Cinematic Mode. Eager to try that. One tip I can offer as far as white balance goes is to dial in a Custom WB. In my opinion the color is more true than the Sunny or Cloudy presets. This also allows you to adjust for any slight color cast from an ND filter. Thanks again.

    Very useful information! Thank you for the video. About the cinematic mode though, I think on the image capture side a higher frame rate does the job well enough, while the editing and encoding mode, VOD or broadcast chain post processing and post encoding have a way greater impact on the image.

    Starting at location 4:20, there was a mistake or misinformation. I think you want to swap the words ISO with SHUTTER SPEED. You put on the ND filter because without it, the shutter speed goes up (NOT the ISO) which will make your video “jerky” rather than having a cinematic motion blur. Without ND filters, the required ISO, given other settings remain the same, would be lower.

    Hi. Great video, You mention that shutter speed needs to be double thee frame rate. In this image it states 400. Shall I take that as 40 ? My app has 1/400 etc.

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi...I made this video a while ago but in short you want your shutter speed to be double your frame rate. So, if your shooting at 24fps you'll want your shutter speed at 1/48th (or round up to 1/50th) of a second. If your shooting at 60fps then you'll want your shutter speed set to 1/120th of a second and so on. It's referred to as the 180 degree rule. For drone footage it will only really make a difference when your flying lower to the ground so you get the right amount of motion blur. When high in the sky it won't really matter.

      Yeah, honest feedback..its something I need to work on. Not always a lot of time to edit these videos (dog barking, wife, kids,etc.). Normal stuff ....moving in the near future and hoping to setup a better studio type format to give it a little more professionalism. I tend to stutter (which is annoying) when I add-lib it...Lots to cover and I really want to articulate the information correctly. Glad you liked the content....

    • @RGMGFitness

      I think your referring to the 'Attitude Indicator' which I did a video on here; th-cam.com/video/YGqGPzmmBUg/w-d-xo.html
      This applies to both the SPARK and DJI Mavic Air. I think this is what your looking for...

    do i have to do these settings everytime!!? or will be my default if I want it to

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the most parts the settings will stay in tact. However, when you do firmware updates you 'MAY' (not always) notice some of the settings roll back to their defaults. Over time you'll get a routine down to double-check a bunch of the settings. They're are some settings I always double-check and others I rarely re-check.

    Not the best video I've seen about settings. You said what to set in app but you did not explained it well. Using ND filters is a bit more complicated than just "put one to have lower shutter speed". There are filters with 2,3,4 or even 5 f-stops. You said to use histogram, but why? and how?
    I'm not finding this video very helpfull for someone who is just starting videography. (no thumbs down as it's still carrys some information)
