    • @ThePinkMadcap
      @ThePinkMadcap 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Because the whole "economy in the hands of Libyans, Ugandans, etc." rhetoric is a populist, bullshitting argument used in general by dictators. They don't want the people to have control. They want themselves and their families to have control and they use the people as an electoral platform. I'm not saying that foreign control is good, far from it, but what Idi Amin was saying is utter bullshit. I mean for fuck's sake, look at North Korea. If you're part of the Kim dynasty, it's all good (unless you sell classified information to the US like Kim Jong-Nam did, then you're fucked). If you're part of the ruling elite that bows down to the Kim dynasty, it's all good (though obviously you have less money and power). If you're literally the rest of the population (over 90%), you're fucked.

    • @SammyTheBullFuck
      @SammyTheBullFuck ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is absolutely correct. I admire his personality and his intentions for Uganda and Africa as a whole. I just believe he went about these things the wrong way sometimes. He should have opened trade schools in Uganda to train the local people to run the shops before he sent the Asians away. That way they would be educated on how to run these shops and it would have been a much smoother transition. He was pro black and that is remarkable because some African leaders are sell outs and bow to colonial powers. I as a white man can appreciate a man loving his people, it's very important. Being pro black didn't make him anti white. He only wanted to empower his people and that was his responsibility as President of the great country of Uganda. Its a shame how the African people from all countries and tribes are being exploited. We've seen many leaders such as Thomas Sankara and Patrice Lumumba give their lives for their people, fighting colonialism. It is a human right for every ethnic group on this planet to be in control of their people, their countries resources and their destiny. A puppet leader doesn't deserve to be president. I respect these leaders so much because it can be rare nowadays to have someone who cares so much.

      Idi Amin intention was good. Unfortunately he took too much "advice" from his "British friends". These friends of Idi Amin are probably the same friends with Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi.

      When it comes to observing situtions he was intelligent. Acting on them, he was too rash. That was what enabled his adversaries. That's where good and sound minded advisors are needed. Too many hurdles to handle with just one stroke. A balancing policy would save the day. I'd gladly serve as his minister. He was an intelligent man who knew to give initiative. That's where I'd use my influence.

      You guys think somebody’s a hero if he just keeps expressing his love for the country and the people !
      But, my dear friend, words are really really cheap. Look at Issayas of Eritrea. He’s worshipped as a liberator and a fair and compassionate man, but he’s the most brutal despot since Hitler and Stalin !
      The same with your Nobel Butcher Prime Minister Ahmed Ali who was installed by Issayas.
      Trust God. We are in the end times. Draw closer to the Lord like the Bible says Ethiopia is going to.

      @@gherieg.1091 - thanks a lot for your sincere explanations. For me, if africa could get leaders such as Ed Amin, Esayas, Ghadafi, Dr. Abiy, Thomas Sankara, and the same timelines, it would have been the richest and independent continent on earth as they kick off the western sabotages. Africa right now needs charismatic and brave and lovable leaders like Esayas and his Excellency Dr.Abiy who are brave enough to say enough is enough to western powers. Others are puppets.
