Little do people know, this was going to be the final mission in beta. You were supposed to get in a fighter jet and battle with Menendez and kill him, but they decided it wasn’t a good choice for the plot.
That's why two last missions were felt so forced...
In all honesty I prefer they changed it.

I mean, treason in the military could lead to a death penalty and it's obviously revealed that Salazar helped Menendez's scheme by a huge margin as a spy. Although that doesn't justify the fact that Salazar was unofficially executed without due process.

You can save both Chloe and Harper, if get the glitch. You have to make sure finish the game with Harper alive, than rewind Acheils' Veli and kill him than replay Odyessus, Harper, Farid, Chole will all be alive.
I couldve sworn I saved karma and harper on my playthrough. Without glitch
after playing the campaign over 100 times, i really hoped that there was a scenario that kept Harper and Farid alive after cordis die.

It's not just that. Menendez is the manifestation of all the consequences of the First Cold War. America was willing to do everything to defeat the Reds, even if it meant making new enemies in the process.

Menendez, if he were real and alive, would witness all these things, it be hard to imagine not getting radicalized to be anti-west/anti-capitalist, along with his personal trauma of his sister and family.

At 22:37, the hardest part of the entire game, due to lack of cover, dumb friendly AI and enemies with aim bots shooting and charging at you on every directions, just like in CODWAW. Luckily, they removed the grenade spam.

Strikeforce is certainly way harder than any of the normal missions on veteran. Especially since you can cheese with the Mmi sight and wall bang everyone.

Even though Menendez is the villain and suffers the consequences in the end of the game, we can't deny he was wronged due to the death of his sister. She was innocent and got injured and dead for no reason. What I enjoy the most about bo2 campaign is that it tries to show us that not always protagonists do what is right and can make shocking mistakes. Menendez, in some way, is right about his sister and her death.
