V Rising - Matka the Curse Weaver | No Hit, 10 Levels Lower, Frail | Gloomrot Boss Kill

- Level 67 Frail vs. level 77 Matka the Curse Weaver.
Kill this boss to unlock the Ghost Yarn recipe, which is needed to build the Bloodmoon Armors. It also unlocks the Mosquito skill and Mosquito recipe. Unlike in the previous patch, this boss is now necessary for progression in the game, so killing it at a lower level will give you the advantage when speedrunning.
You can find her from North-East Cursed Forest from the Nest of the Curse Weaver.
In this video series, I kill every V Rising boss as 10 levels lower than the boss and 0% Frail Blood. Standard PvP rules. Filmed in the Secrets of Gloomrot patch (May 2023).

Something I liked about the power mods, especially in the unholy school, was the damage bonus for low health enemies. Corrupted Skulls and Dark Knight do a lot of damage at the end of the fight, and if you have good gems... Nice damage.
Today I learned you can dodge being turned into a pig!

Nice! I'll probably start doing some no-hit remakes for the bosses where I got hit after I've finished this challenge. Maybe Styx will be one of the first ones!

Yep! So does dashing (but I save dash for other dangers).
also sword knockup special works and is easier to hit
@@loopuleasa but using your e ability for it means less overall dodges, which would be bad for such a spell spam build imo

i noticed that you can i frame the polymorph but haven't gotten the timing down consistently. What's the queue you're using to time your dash?
He shakes his staff 3 times, then raises it up before the polymorph comes. The i-frame has to happen right after he has risen his staff the 3rd time - a little bit earlier than would feel intuitive (to me at least), because the sheep happens a tiny bit sooner than the area effect. In the heat of the battle when you can't keep your eyes on his animation 100% time, it helps to count to 3 in your head.

The fight hasn't changed at all since then. The level is 3 higher now, but just get 3 levels higher gear score for it and it will feel the same :)
@@CrimsonSilhouetteGaming You can easy kill him with bombs on the bridge, just blow him up no muss no fuss. Takes 19 large explosives just stack them on each side of the bridge 10 and 9 wait for him to path between agro him then hit the bombs with a thrown scythe, boom done.

God, I did this. I killed Adam solo with 92% scholar using blood blink, blood fountain and spectral wolf for heal. And Fallen Angel - beautiful ulti. Slashers, of course)

This is a strategy that I can't follow even if you know the answer 😂
If you have hard time dodging the pig spell, it's not that bad even if you get hit by it! The core of my strategy is that I just keep moving in circle all the time and focus all damage on boss. I chose these skills because of my "no hit" limitation, but it gets easier if you replace 1 of the damage spells with a heal like Sanguine Coil or Blood Rage. Extra movement speed from blood helps as well.

Well done. This is one if not the worst fights I think. Way too much running around in circles. Almost getting dizzy from watching your video. ;-)
"10 levels lower" has the blood merlot amulet on, fights primarily with spells. Clickbait title mate but great timing evading the pig spell.
Blood Merlot Amulet recipe comes from Baron du Bouchon the Sommelier, which is a lower level boss than Matka. It was the logical choice to pick. you could have beaten her faster and easier but you would have had to tank hits. The last part was just you running around flexing to get the no hit end.
