Kill this boss to unlock Shadow Weave, which is an essential material for the last tier armors. She also unlocks the T4 jewels.
You can find her at the North Fortress Ruins in Ruins of Mortium.
In this video series, I kill every V Rising boss on Brutal difficulty as 10 levels lower than the boss and 0% Frail Blood. Default Brutal settings. Filmed in the V Rising 1.0 patch.

man this boss wrecked me over and over and I solo'd everything else so far
absolutely love your videos. for those that should check the comments and are struggling with the boss, you can lure a humans patrol to her and if you manage to grab her agro while they pummel her down, she'll go down extremely fast

That's pretty impressive, I've been on her for 2 days and she's by far the only boss I'm having trouble to kill. If it weren't for the damn coffin I'd already beaten her, but when she summons it for the second time she'll always get to kill me.

I think so far in brutal the only bosses I have had major trouble with and decided to look up a guide for have been her and lord styx. Some of the bosses take so much patience and I just end up getting frustrated and doing worse the more I lose

Double shield spell nice strategy
Yep! When I was progressing through the Brutal bosses, I noticed almost any boss can be made a lot easier with double defensives and dealing damage with either Longbow or Pistols.

could you show us what jewels you use on your abilites at the end next time? saw the skeleton mages from dash and ward and i know those are from jewels, am just wondering what else

Thanks! The roll is the 2nd weapon skill of the pistols. In this fight I used Dark Silver weapons, Shadowmoon Chestguard, Dawnthorn Leggings and Boots, Duskwatcher Gloves, Amulet of the Blademaster, and Crimson Ward (alternative skin for T3 cloak).
For us mortals, frost shield with scholar blood and spell armor absolutelt shreds her if you block that spear attack.

I agree that he's a little bit easier now, I used to have a lot of problems with the vampire adds before. And the patrolling enemies of Cursed Forest of course...

This is such a well designed boss, not a single move feels cheep. The iron maiden concept is so cool, and the way she tries to kick you inside of it is a chefs kiss
I agree! This was one of my favorite bosses in the Brutal mode.
dawg what, the maiden will randomly suck you in from behind it sometimes
The spear triangle notification is too short. It extends quite a bit farther than is shown. Also, her chain spear has the same issue. I've been hit past the length of a wolf by both, and the maiden will just 180 and spear instantly with no tell. This entire fight is poorly designed and is only hard because the boss doesn't have noticeable visual tells, only words that are obscured by all her explosions and our weapon sounds. It's dogwater and only solidifies my dislike for both brutal and the studio as a whole. I liked every other new boss, but this one takes the cake for worst in the game by a very long shot, and that's competing with bosses like Vincent that also melee spam.
I am 5 gear levels above her using blood and I get clapped. Great job
I hear that man I found legendary axes that put me 5 levels above her plus had the 10% bonus damage to v blood passive and she would always get when she was at 5-10% health happened to me 3 times finally caught a break and shredded her ass 😅

Btw whats the reason behing using chaos shield instead of Frost shield ? (frost shield isnt just straight up more damage or im mission something?)
probably because chaos shield is a charged dps, vs frost shields single hit.
Frost shield deals 60% magic damage per hit and 25% for recast. Chaos shield deals 50% magic damage per hit and applies Ignite, which is 50% magic damage. I started by using the frost shield, but I figured out that in my pattern I would usually use it to block 1-2 attacks and save the skeleton shield for the rapid attacks. So in the end, frost shield would deal 85-145% damage per use and chaos shield 100-150% damage. Overall, frost is a lot easier to use though and has potential to make more damage - it's just a little nuance I changed halfway of filming the boss :)

Brutal Alpha Wolf is surprisingly hard, I got eaten so many times when doing it for the first time!
Strange she ignores skeles when I try the green shield… just tunnels me regardless
game was super easy up until this point and because of it i forgot spells were very useful. normally just run in circles around bosses and spam death knight.
U can do the updated bosses on brutal, maybe Vincent, stix, behemoth, Belmont? Any boss who is significantly stronger in brutal would be appreciated

This boss don't focus my skeleton, this fight does not show the reality of the game
What's the circumstance when she ignores the skeletons? If you're not far enough she prioritizes attacking you. Same if you're too far away: she will hook or jump on you instead of skeletons.

Yep! Double shields and guns/longbow makes most of the boss fights a lot easier in Brutal. There are so many abilities that need to be dodged/blocked that either you have to practice how to sidestep in specific ways for every boss or stack up defensive abilities.

This is the only boss so far which brought me to an "Alt + F4" Event xD 16 tries still counting.
Edit: Ok, 19 tries where my sweetspot, i did it. But not as gracefully as you mate.
Congrats! I can tell you it took me way more than 19 tries to achieve the no hit kill in this video.

For me it was probably, i was trying it back to back to back, without a real break inbetween. The break to comment here probably got me distracted enough, that i was able to focus.
How many tries did it aproximately needed for your no hit run?
@@FaethorFerenzcy Indeed. Just watching the videos it's easy to think of me just going from boss to boss and absolutely dominating them. The reality is very different of course.
I didn't count the tries, but on these harder bosses, I usually start with a few hours of practicing and trying different builds before I record anything. Listening to some podcasts in the background and taking it easy. I usually kill the boss many times during this phase and I don't reset whenever I get hit.
When I feel confident about the build and I can counter everything smoothly, I start trying the no hit runs while filming and reset the fight every time I get hit. Sometimes I do a few no hit kills before I'm happy with a video.
This boss took probably a total of 6-8 hours, practicing and filming included. Had some breaks in between.

Why she is not doing spear throws like on my server?
She does the spear throw when you get far enough from her. I'm staying mostly on the melee/pistol range, so she keeps repeating the abilities that she does in that range. She does the spear throw at 2:37 and 3:21 when I'm focusing on the iron maiden.

I know you're a god at this game but she does not behave this way when I fight her. She ignores skeletons completely she absolutely never misses melees unless you have shield and she spams the invuln spinny thing a lot. I can't figure out a rhythm where she takes damage and the caskets take wayyyy too long to kill.
Especially in Brutal dodging things without a shield is very nuanced and needs you to move in a precise way. Also, the way you move in general and movement speed have a lot of effect on the boss' actions. Some of the difference in behavior might also be explained by a difference in server lag: I'm filming my videos on a locally hosted game.
I'm struggling too. Playing normal difficulty, and I just can't get her down fast enough. That iron maiden is so goddamn annoying. Using Oaksong too and trying to use the shields. Fight feels pretty unfair, but I'm sure its a skill issue more than anything.
@@_ByteBlaze_ I don't think so, as he said it seems like boss actions can vary based on a number of factors that feel hard to pin down. I'm finding it so difficult to dodge most of her attacks that it's crazy because she rarely focuses on my skeletons. Like I've beaten higher tier bosses but she's still destroying me. I get her to like 20% and she gets me every time.

It's from the Amulet of the Blademaster. There's a chance-on-hit on primary attacks to summon the lightning orbs. It's a new thing they added in the 1.0 patch.
