- Enter Solarus' sanctuary and beat this previously last boss of the game to unlock Dracula's Boots and gain the Soul Shard of Solarus.
In this video series, I kill every V Rising boss on Brutal difficulty as 10 levels lower than the boss and Frail Blood. Default Brutal settings. Filmed in the V Rising 1.0 patch.

This is probably the most savagely disrespectful boss fight I've ever seen. Not only did you spend the first ~40% of his HP just blasting him in the face without moving an inch, you pulled a "simple geometry" on the sawblades and christmas lights, and the killing blow was dealt by a randomly appearing skeleton. I can only imagine how many takes you did for this but choosing this was 100% the best decision.
I love that "Almost No Hit" 😄
After filming around 20 takes with 1-2 hits taken, I just had to break my no hit streak and focus on something else for a while 😅
@@CrimsonSilhouetteGaming This video is cool enough, no need to exaggerate. If you did a bajillion takes and the best take was 2-hits taken, then there weren't 20 takes with 1-2 hits. There were 20 takes with 2-5 hits.
@@ProzacStylings There were some takes where I took only 1 hit, but it was from the sword or angel charge so I lost half my health. I felt like taking these 2 tickles from the beams was a cleaner option as I ended the fight in full health. I'll probably post a blooper video later, but there was one where I got hit once for 60% of my health bar 1 second before the boss died...

amazing, reviewing the 2 hits, can't even see how it triggered, seemed like you were out of range of the aoe of the pillars but its probably a pixel or something ridiculous. keep these coming! this was amazing.

Beast. I find pre-bubble phase the hardest part of this fight for sure. Crazy how all the pre-gloomrot solarus practice paid off big-time for 1.0!
Impressive. Just did all last of them for a 2nd time but this time on a pvp brutal server and solarus was way harder than adam for me, which I don't see many others saying. Knowing how to move around the ad at p2 is not easy and the saws at p3 are weird, sometimes I got jebaited by the other swing animation but seeing it here there is a little tell to the normal swing animation that I didn't notice. Cool idea with the double shields and very nice moves, cheers.

i also find adam easier because theres less things to keep track of, the first and third phases of solarus are very easy but the second phase when you have to fight both him and the angel is hellish to me

He got grazed just once that whole fight.
That's the most bullshit hit I've seen. Good job nonetheless, Solarus is indeed one of the hardest. Took me 10ish tries at max equipment (For when you need to fight him) and potions to get him. I also used double shields but used Golem Ult to just tank him and the angel to get him to bubble ASAP.

I like to use Discharge on him also, you get a lot of the lightning shield going for the combo, and with one of the jewels, you get, up to 1,6 seconds of immaterial (pretty sure this is immortal or complete i frame) if you get 3 orbs going, which is easy on any of his attacks.

Genuine question, why is the health bar gold when I play on Brutal but for you its just red?
The health bar color just means how close to your level the boss is. If you're a lot lower level, it's red. If you're around the same level, it's yellow. And if you're a lot higher level, it's light brown.
In p3, how did you find the exact position to dodge his 4 plates? I was trying to do the same thing but I can’t find the right position.
I stay close to him until he hits the shield for the first time, and then I walk backward until he has finished the 3rd attack. Usually, you're already at the right spot at that point, but you might have to adjust a little bit by watching the blades. A good indicator is also the pistol range: max range is safe.

why the chaos barrier instead of unholy barrier?
With the right jewel, Chaos Barrier has a lower cooldown, which helps a lot in the last phase. Without the jewels, you can't block every melee attack. Also, when he attacks the skeletons with a melee attack and you're on mid range, it might be hard to dodge the attack.
Other than that, the unholy barrier deals a little bit more damage and I experimented with it a lot too.

The abilities haven't changed since then, other than the beam is easier to dodge now so it doesn't need dash or stealth to dodge as long as you're close enough to the boss. So even on Brutal, it's easier than in Gloomrot patch in my opinion.

Yep... And looking at it frame by frame, I'm like 1-2 meters away from the visible range of the beam when it hits me. But a hit is a hit. Maybe I'll revisit the boss someday, but now it's Dracula and Adam time!

Why your shields 5 sec CD?
Both of my shields have a jewel that reduces the cooldown whenever I block a hit and I have spell CD recovery rate from my pistols and set bonus. You can briefly see the jewels and equipment at the start of the video.
The CD starts counting from the beginning of the ability, so the ~5 sec you see after the shield is the 11 sec CD minus 2 sec channeling time and jewel and equipment benefits.
