rare that I give a thumbs up for a bike review but you nailed it, some good engine sounds, focusing on the important details or characteristics, good riding and footage.
I know some guys like Lectrons, but a whole lotta pros, amateurs and pro mechanics use a Keihin or Mikuni on the 17 models, they can be made to work as good as a carb can work. JD kit and mine gets great mileage and runs clean as can be. Lectrons are neat but kind of a niche thing.
Will the TE150 and KTM150 be eligible for he newly created GNCC XC3 class as well as the NEPG Enduro classes. Or do they have they're own? Btw it's great to see regardless of the Japanese manufacturers agenda to outlaw 2strokes in the market that more and more organisations have realised that this has been detrimental to the sport for participation and cost for everyday riders! So great to see ongoing development in the lower CC 2ts as well, good work Kato/Husky and now Beta have just released for 18 a new full blown RR 125cc 2t, nothing beats the scream of the wee 2strokes on the pipe, gawd I love that sound..
Rocky Mountain ATV MC I was going to suggest the Lectron, but you're already on it! Also, where was this filmed? I usually ride 5 Mile pass but that looks like a great area as well.
mattd before you do any jetting changes, watch Jeff Slavens vid on this issue! But open up the air box!! Too meet Euro emissions stds they basically choked all the Kato's/Husky 2 strokes, cut drill holes, first watch some vids on where and how, then ride, if you don't want to do that, ride the bike up the street without the seat on or air box cover off first to prove the point! Also check your Reeds, with such a big manufacturing numbers some come out ok many don't, gaps in the reeds, leaking and prone to breaking! Jeff doesn't wreckon this is an issue but for me it was and I have seen it happen to many others and researched many others, some having OEM breakages a number of times and having to push they're bikes home, once is bad enough twice wtf.. The re -check Jetting / float levels if nessecary! then add a VForce4 reeds next before buying a Lectron, you shouldn't just throw money at a problem imo first off! Have a 17 250EXC myself..
Google User Lectron won't solve breathing issues, I'm not anti Lectron and want one myself at some stage more for its features than anything else, once you do the other things you will then benefit from pure performance gains rather than still have a choked up bike that you feel runs good.
Ya, but is it what it"s supposed to be? Is it a replacement for the 200 xc/xcw or just a slightly smoother 125? The 200 was always more of a light weight "mini" 300, where the 125 is more like a mini 250. Husy/ktm wanted to make the 125 smaller and lighter but you couldn't stick a 200 in the same case, so now we have a 150 that runs like a 125 with a flywheel weight and no more baby 300 (aka the 200 xcw)
noja83 way late on the reply. You're right. I think. The 150 is awesome and has some pretty cool cross over kind of like a 125 had a baby with a 250 2t, even though it's simply a big bore 125. The 200 had a really cool place and it was certainly a different creature with a pretty wide powerband. They definitely shouldn't have dropped the 200.
E.DUNN That’s his point. You paid the same for 2 bikes that are designed for the same activity, except 1 of those bikes is 100cc less powerful.....so basically, you overpaid for 1 of your bikes.
i have problem jetting it at almost see level...i suggest that mikuni 38 shit. could you please tell me - if i have 125 husky same as yours, can i make it 150 just by changing cylinder and piston? or more parts needs to be changed ?
I'm way to big for that bike but l would like to see more about the 250&300 bikes if that's possible thanks again for the great power sports shop store...
hey rocky mountain MC can ya help me out! seriously looking for a te150 but I dont want a super powerful bike like a TE300. But something thats similar to a KLX250 power maybe even more. would you say this 150 has a bit more power than the KLX250 or WR250F? I am pretty happy with those power range but want something as light as the TE150. I dont even ride that fast tbh nor do i race. what do you think?
Luke O i love my 150 but yes wish they made the 200 i find it was the perfect size motor to have thats in between a 125 and 250 , the 150 is just to close to the 125 id rather have the 200 and have a little more torque but still be nice and light.
I think a 125 would be a great beginner bike for a 6ft human. You'd have a blast on it. Now, do you need a new TE150 Husqvarna? That's up to you, you can find other 125's for a lot less. These TE125's are sweet bikes though.
its deff rich all the 17s are but with the 150 check the powervalve its prob sticking , mine didnt move at all, powervalve has a big effect on jetting , and check stock reeds , got the vforce 4r's on mine cause the stock ones both corners of the reeds had alot of light coming through , then the bike will be sweet , mine puts a huge smile on my face everytime i ride it!
You would want to check with your local state laws and regulations for making this bike street legal and what's all required. Each State's regulations are different. From factory this bike is not street legal. A lighting kit would be necessary. Thanks
LMAO, no and NO! Red sticker bike, you basically can't ride it in the summer in most OHV parks. If it didnt come from factory street legal its not street legal in CA.
think this 150 has more power than a klx250 dual sport? looking for a light bike i can just throw around in the rocks but issue is i do come across steep hills
im 175 lbs and ride a 350 xcf but i never use all of its power and it feels kinda heavy . i race RMEC and WEBE. do you think this would be a good bike for me? also run anywhere from 3000 FT to 12,000 FT
Very handy when you stall in some situations. I thought the same thing but quickly learned the magic button is nice when you stall or dump it on a hill.
@@rmatvmc i have ridden 4 times and am confident on a bike. everytime i rode it was for the whole weekend. i am looking for my first bike to develop as a rider
I'm glad two-stokes have become more popular

I'm 15 stone and have loved every minute on this machine
Would you recommend it for a new adult rider?
Just picked up a 2018 that had 2 hours on it. Can confirm, it's a great woods bike.

The JD kit with some tweaks will clean it up. My 150xcw is fantastic
Rocky Mountain ATV MC I was going to suggest the Lectron, but you're already on it! Also, where was this filmed? I usually ride 5 Mile pass but that looks like a great area as well.
This was filmed out at West Mountain. It's just straight west of Payson, Utah. Thanks for watching our videos!
mattd before you do any jetting changes, watch Jeff Slavens vid on this issue!

MaverickDH I have a Beta XTrainer. I put a Lectron on it and it resolved the jetting issues. I haven't done anything to the airbox or reeds.
Never heard of them till recently, I only the big names growing up , honda, yamaha,Kawasaki, ktm, suzuki
Husqvarna has been around since your grand pappy was riding! Been king of enduro since forever
Where was this video filmed at? Thanks
love the small bore bikes very fun!
Backyard Boosters this is fast af if you unlock it it can go for 110 mph

What would you say the max rider weight would be for this bike and a beginner?
Awesome review!
I weigh 160 w/o gear so i was curious if thats suitable for something like a TE250?
*Red Lightning* Yep, good size for a 250 two stroke. That would be a sweet machine.
do a custom build on it
Was considering this, went with the YZ250 X. Lot"s of money left in pocket.
250X is just a pig rebadged YZ that has not been updated in 10+ years.
KING TROLL your just saulty cause u wasted $3000
false lol
?? I have a yz250x, and ktm 150xcw and I paid the same price for each of them.

How are you using a mic with the gopro hero 5? What is your setup?
do you have to ride the clutch heaps through the tight stuff to stop the engine from bogging?
i rev it on and off just to keep pipe clean- also rev before every hill or obsruction just to make sure it wont bog when i need it
I’m on a tc 85 next year this bike
Are y'all in cali or no..? Looked y'all up cause y'all were at a track near me but could only find it in like Colorado or something like that. . ?
We have multiple locations but our main warehouse is in Payson, Utah. Thanks *Myles*
Rocky Mountain ATV MC okay thanks! So is there a socal location I can go to or just in Utah?
Just in Utah.
Myles Johnson hay where in socal are you? I'm looking for riding areas
Does this 150 have the same wide ratio trans like the ktm 150 xcw has?

personally if i was ktm id just drop the 125 and have the 150 , 200,250, and 300 , the 150s can race in the 125 class anyways.
and then keep the 125 , and 150s in the huskys.
Bring out the 175.like the good ole days
Still got my 200exc. No need to change bikes, it’s perfect. If I was a priest I’d love it even more, because it’s 10 years old.
For that price tag they should send them with a few different jets and needles.
they do! but.... I didn't have much luck with them:) - Justin
@@rmatvmc because they wrong -jd needles r different shape
Would this bike be good for a beginner Or is it too much?. I'm 18 and stand at 6 feet 3 inches

Start on a yamaha 125cc

Rocky Mountain ATV MC i have a lectron on mine , i dont need to watch a review of it lol
Nice work! 👊
2Wheels 4Life you should do a video review of it with the lectron!
my powevalve was'n sticking, and reeds had gaps - and i managed to get bike working just by stock jetting
乗ってみたいマシンです!!
şs this street legal.can I ride this all year around in CA?

IcemanSam650 yeah California is really gay when it comes to dirt bikes😢
V4S Dude or anything else lol
Mostly woods and some track
What fuel ratio are you running?
Where is this?
think this 150 has more power than a klx250 dual sport? looking for a light bike i can just throw around in the rocks but issue is i do come across steep hills
you be fine on steep hills, but you have to learn to claim from fast high rev start
im 175 lbs and ride a 350 xcf but i never use all of its power and it feels kinda heavy . i race RMEC and WEBE. do you think this would be a good bike for me? also run anywhere from 3000 FT to 12,000 FT
171 Watson 150s are amazing tons of power , put a lectron carb on it , i have a video of mine got quite a bit of goodies on it.
think this bike would be fine with a 230lbs guy on it? i have a klx250 and im happy with the power, but want something lighter
yes. thats what i am
I’m coming off of a 125 4 stroke. Will I be good for this bike?
it will be more powerfull
Also, does the bike vibrate a lot? 2ts usually do
nop. my 125 2t cant feel any difeerence to 4t 250
Topspeed ?
2 stroke electric start?
Very handy when you stall in some situations. I thought the same thing but quickly learned the magic button is nice when you stall or dump it on a hill.
Curious, after that would you recommend te or tx 300 (xplor or aer) for desert hare and hound style racing?
Jarod Hunter aer, the stiffness is better imo
im 5 foot 7 could i handle this bike?
That depends more on your riding experience than how tall you are. But this bike is a great option for riders of all skill levels.

The jetting is off because they put an aftermarket silencer on it
Why don't they make kid enduro bikes
Exactly! TE85 with 105 Big Bore kit available
