good review. appreciate the honesty. probably great bike for old guy like me who still thinks he’s fast (58). the light weight is a big plus for me. never thought i’d see the day that i can’t throw these big 4 strokes around but alas, that day is here. for you younguns out there... enjoy every ride, because life passes you by faster than a mile of scenic singletrack. ❤️🇺🇸

I'm 5'4" and around 130lbs with gear on. Suspension is slightly stiff for my weight stock, but I love how this bike handles and feels a lot better than the 16 250xcf I used to ride. The 150 lugs way better than I ever expected it would. It bogs down just enough that it makes it very easy to keep traction at the rear when climbing slippery roots and rocks. Only time I have noticed the need to slip the clutch more so than normal is in really sandy spots taking off from a stop. I have a 21' TE 150 , but its pretty much identical to the 20'
I was actually looking at the XCW version at first, but the husky linkage rear end makes the bike feel just a tiny bit closer to the ground. Something to keep in mind for shorter riders. I have a 30" inseam and do not feel like I need to lower the bike.

  • @richardpaiva1

When I got my ktm 150tpi (Same engine)I was a bit disappointed that there was no real power band hit until it almost topped out. I wound the power valve screw out 1.5 turns. It now kicks in upper/mid range and has that distinct 2 stroke feel yet still has lower end luggability.

We have both been riding motocross for 30 years each and know how bikes behave in all situations and there is NO perceptible difference in the ignition maps now. Ive heard people say it kills the 150 and dont even bother with map II so I have to wonder whats going on with out new 2021's now. Did KTM/Husq change map II to be almost identical to map I? Is there any difference in maps at all now?

She's only 5'2 though - and her skills are limited - so i was thinking about this, lowered. She likes to go FAST tho - so a porker like the CRF-230 isn't an option.
