Your hair is officially my braidloc goals!! I'm installing right now and can't wait for the results. I started my daughter's braidlocs 4 years ago too. I got traditional twist locs then I would interloc the dreads two years ago and was like no. They were too big for me. I kept looking at my girls hair after combing the other locs out. Finally after three months of consideration I have given in. So August 15 is my official install date and I'm so happy. I am about to binge watch your videos now. I appreciate you posting this. My daughter (3) has braidlocs and all I’ve ever seen online is that it’s a “bad” method the pattern will never go away. I gotta get better at just trusting myself. I love her hair. Her dad’s side (old school) hate that I did it but idc! She thinks her hair is beautiful and so do I. I ALMOST combed them out one day due to the pressure and my mom convinced me to leave them. Your hair is GORGEOUS and I appreciate the inspiration. Hair has no rules!

I definitely questioned my decision in the beginning. But it was all worth it. Keep trusting the process and ignoring the people who don't understand. So happy to hear your daughter loves her hair. @@t.1103 Wow, its been a while, what I remember ontop of my head is that the braid pattern will take a long while to dissapear and the loc will be flat unlike a twisted one which will be cylindrical.

I started my box braids Locs Journey March 21, 2021 this year and I am so excited and happy and I can’t wait until they form into Locs and lock up and when they do lock up I am gonna be so happy oh and my parts or boxes and really big to and my box braids Locs or big to and your journey looks amazing and I know you are happy for the processing and everything.

im 15, i literally barely know anything about locs, but i’ve decided to get them this week lol . Do braid locks need to be “retwisted”? lIkeeee do you need to do that to the roots like you would do with coils or twists?😭😭i might sound dumb but i actually have no idea how it works .

Are you saying instead of twisting the hair and waiting for it to entangle itself.
You braided it?
Or do you mean, you started with braids then twisted down the length?

By braidlocs, I mean that I started my locs with small braids. It's just another way to start locs. I have a FAQ video about my hair if you would like to check it out 🖤
Also, I interlock my roots as they grow out. I wouldn't say starting with braids is better, it's just another method to start locs. Hope this helps!

Do you have to interlock when it’s time for a retwist or you can palm roll?
I personally interlock, but I've seen others palm roll. Interlocking seemed like the best choice for my hair

What do you do about the frizzing
Not sure if it's because of the style of locs I have, or if I just ignore frizzing, but I don't do anything for it.

Hmm...Can you explain your question a little more? I have an idea of what you mean, but I want to make sure understand before answering. Do you mean starting locs with braids, but just larger, giving it the look of traditional sized locs?
