I had loc’s for 11 months. I had several starter loc fails. My grid, twist, coils…. All failed because my hair bunched so much. After having them combed out and wearing my hair loose (2 months) I am going to try braid Locs. I now need to investigate if interlocking will work on braids bigger than micro. My hair is quite thick and I’m thinking smaller braid might be too much volume. Your hair is perfect!

Thank you!! I kinda tried to follow grid patterns similar to the sisterlock grid. My grid is definitely not perfect but it works for me. For the sizes, I used a #2 pencil as my guide. I believe it's 1/4 inch. I tried to make the ones in the back about that size and the ones in the front a little smaller. But honestly, I kinda winged it lol. So I have different sizes everywhere. I hope this helped a little 😊

I have seen microlocs started with 2 strand twists. Those that I've seen, do seem to have a lot of volume. Search TH-cam for microlocs started that way to help you make a decision. Good luck 🥰
You can but it would take a really long time. If I ever decide I didn't want them anymore,I would probably just cut then off. But that's just my preference for now. If you have the time and patience to comb then out, it's definitely possible

🤣🤣 I think my sides seem to grow the fastest. My front is the slowest, followed by the back.
My back grows faster. The middle part grows slow.
