Beautiful hair! Finally found someone who has pretty much the same exact amount of locs as me. I have 330 micro twists. I started them in April of this year, I can’t wait till mine are as long as yours, but I am enjoying the process more and more each day, Carefree
👋🏾. I have 333 braidlocs. That I did myself. Why not save money where you can. Best decision I ever made. I was tooooo tired of my loose natural 🤦🏾♀️. Love your locs sis❣️
Lol keisha you should go back to show that stylist how much your locs have grown they are beautiful I also have braidlocs now for 16 months I can’t wait to get to your length new subscriber ❤️
I'm not sure if I will follow through with locking my hair. I'm still on the fence. However, I'm loving the fullness of yours! Your hair is beautiful and very well maintained! Thank you for sharing your story. 💕💐💕
I’ve watched this video like 3 times!!! I really love your personality❤️! Sorry that you had that experience with the stylist- they can be so close minded sometimes 🙄. But I really appreciated this FAQ video, so THANK YOU 🤗🥰!
Thank you so much for watching and for the lovely compliment🥰!! Yes my experience was a little discouraging, but I know most stylist mean well🤷🏾♀️. So happy to hear my video was helpful 😊
I don't have a large number of braids. I only have 90, and I am just about, 4 month into my journey just got my hair done, I am really, my hair is really soft around my sides, so in all I love my braided journey. Thank you I enjoyed this.
Love this. I’m new to following you but I look a your hair and I live that you self-installed your locs. I go back and forth about whether or not I want to start mine myself (to save money and allow myself time to do stuff while they get installed) or going to a professional, but I’m definitely trying to get lox’s this year. I never considered braid locs until I saw yours. Did you experience a lot of shrinkage with braids?
Thank you!! I did experience shrinkage, but not a lot. When I started my braidlocs, my hair was shoulder length stretched. When I washed it, they shrunk to about chin length.
Hello, I love your video, your locs look very beautifully and healthy and do u have a video showing to install your microlocks braidlocs? I was interested in how to install them yourself, 😊
Thank you! Sorry, I don't have an install video. I do have an interlocking video showing how I retightening them if you're interested 😊th-cam.com/video/pbnC11im5HQ/w-d-xo.html
Your hair is gorgeous. I’m headed this way. If I start with micro braids can I do the three point process, rather than take them out every eight to ten weeks?
This is how I want my braids locs to mature. I don't want them to end up getting fat, thick, and frizzy. How did u keep them looking thin and neat like this?
Part sizes play a role in how thick your locs might get. I tried to have parts that were about 1/4 inch and a little smaller than that in the front. My locs do have frizz, but I think wearing a scarf at night helps. I think also interlocking plays a role with the size and frizz
Hello I just started my braid lock journey and I have 543 locs on my head. My scalp is super itchy is there anything you can suggest for that? Also how long did you wait before your 1st wash and retie?
Congrats on your braidloc journey! I actually still deal with scalp itching from time to time so I'm no expert . I personally try to wash every 1-2 weeks to help me with that. I know some people use rose water on their scalp as well. Rose water has helped me some too. I washed my hair every week in the beginning and retightened after 8 weeks.
Hello, when you started your locs did you use the overhanded or underhanded braiding method? I will be starting braidlocs soon. Thank you in advance, for reading and responding to this question.
Hi, first.... I love your hair. My question is how did you do your parting, especially in the back? My hair is to my butt and I want to start my loc journey but I don't want to cut my hair nor do I want to spend $2,000 + to get it done. If you don't mind could you help me get started with my hair?
Thank you! I'm hoping to get a video up soon explaining how I installed mine. Hopefully that will help with your question. Honestly I just tried my best in the back and got help from my mom to double check my parts.
Hi🥰! My only advice is just do your research to find what's best for you. Watch videos. Research online and don't be afraid to seek out a professional if you feel you need help as well.
Love this video. Just found you on Instagram and decided to check out your vids. I started my journey with braid locs sisterlocs were to expensive for my length as well. My loctician offered braid locs at a significantly less cost and I jumped on it. She installed 312 braids I now have 307 locs after having to combine a few. I love them
Congrats on your journey! Yes, sisterlocks are beautiful, but often don't fit into people's budget. I'm happy you were able to find a more affordable and just as beautiful alternative 💕 Thanks for checking out my videos!
I washed once a week in the beginning because my scalp was so itchy. It helped with the itching and flaking at the time. But now I do about every 3 weeks or so

@@kellymcclendon2162 thank you so much!! I completely agree!
@@kellymcclendon2162 I’m envious of your loc number!
Love your videos! I’m combing out my traditional locks and replacing them with micro braid locs as I watch!
Thank you!! Well wishes on your new journey! 🥰
Lol keisha you should go back to show that stylist how much your locs have grown they are beautiful I also have braidlocs now for 16 months I can’t wait to get to your length new subscriber ❤️
Right, I should! lol! And thank you! 😁
Your locs are beautiful! It looks like you have well over 440 locs. Your locs are very full.
Thank you!! My locs in the back are bigger, so it gives that illusion that its more than it is. But I need to recount to double check lol
Your hair is beautiful. I just DIY installed 205 braidlocs . It is freeing and exciting
Thank you!! Congrats on your new journey!!
I'm not sure if I will follow through with locking my hair.

I absolutely agree!💯
Loved this video! I started my braidlocs in 2016. Been loc’d for 5 years now. ❤️ Your Locs are beautiful 😍
Thank you!! Congrats on 5 years!!💜
6/25/24...starting my journey on July 9th 2024❤
please do make a video on how you did them pleaseeee
I'll try. I only have a few pics from when I first put them in. But I will do a interlocking video showing how I maintenance them every 2 months

Your hair is beautiful and full! Is there a reason why you chose the 3 point rotation vs. The 4 point?
Thank you!! Yes I chose the 3pt because it gives a more full looking loc vs the 4pt

Your hair is beautiful. I’m seriously considering locks.
Thank you!! 🥰🥰
I would have guessed you had more locs.
I think I may recount soon lol!
Thanks for the video.. Your hair is BEAUTIFUL.. You're doing a great job.
Thank you so much!!!
I'm thinking of starting braid locs on my hair. Yours looks so lovely. I'm a bit worried about my edges as the hair there is very soft and delicate
I understand. I was worried about my edges as well when installing. I made sure not to make them too small so they had a good solid base
I love that label of the shampoo. I'm gonna have to look for that. Buying something cause it's pretty, go figure 😛
Nothing wrong with that lol! I'm a sucker for pretty labels too lol!!!

Love your locs, you did a gorgeous job of taking care of your locs🥰 What do you suggest for dry itchy scalp?

Sulfur 8 braid spray is great for itchy scalp.
Sulfur 8 scalp grease worked for me
I started my braid lock journey November 5, 2021
Congrats and good luck on your new journey!!!🥰
What shampoo and conditioner do you use? Thank you fir taking the time to do these videos 🙏🏽
You're welcome! I use Renpure Rose Water Shampoo and sometimes Carol's Daughter Rose water Shampoo. I don't use conditioner
At what point in your journey did you do you first retightening? Did you part each section? Do you have a “grid”?
I retightened after 8 weeks. I separated each section with my hands. I have my own unique grid since I did them myself. Not perfect but it's mine lol
Do you think a looser braid pattern will lock faster than a tight one? I'm talking about the plait itself not the grid.
Beautiful hair, good video!
Thank you!!!
Did you experience a lot of shrinkage with you braid locs? I once started with mini twist and the shrinkage was insane!
Yes I did. My hair was shoulder length when I started my locs. When I washed them though, they shrunk to chin length.
I'm about to start my braid lpc journey this week. You video answered alot of my questions. I love how your locs have turned out. Thanks for the tips
Thank you and you are very welcome!! Goodluck on your new journey!! 🥰🤗
Your hair is gorgeous
Thank you!!😁
Hello, when you started your locs did you use the overhanded or underhanded braiding method? I will be starting braidlocs soon. Thank you in advance, for reading and responding to this question.
I'm not sure, sorry! I just focused on putting braids in. I didn't pick a braiding method.
Did you experience bunching in your locs? If so, how did you deal with that?
That's a good question, but unfortunately I didn't pay attention to that, sorry. I just let them do their own thing
Your hair is gorgeous.
Thank you!!!
Lovely locs!
Thank you!!!

What is your night time routine for your hair
Is that shampoo good with color too?
Beautiful locs
Thank you!!
Whats the brand of hair you used for your locs?
It's all my hair. I didn't add anything to it 😊

When you first installed how often did you wash.?
I washed once a week in the beginning because my scalp was so itchy. It helped with the itching and flaking at the time. But now I do about every 3 weeks or so
@@keshia1390 ! Im 3mos in ive been doing every two weeks so i wasnt sure if that would mess them up. Thanks for answering .
Thanks for the info

You're welcome!
DO YOU USE CONDITIONER
No, I do not. As of now, only shampoo
She was mad because u did it yourself and didn’t pay all that money for starter locs.
