For the quantity of rasam shown the amount of kada perungayam you have used will defently spoil it. Generally we use very less amount of it as its aroma will be pungent if used more.
PERFECT! Very few people know about kada perungayam. Even more important is that *special* மேல் பொடி the cooks of Nagaiyanallur use. You MUST try the கட்டி கடா perungayam. With the கட்டி, you add it before the stove is turned on. That smell of பெருங்காயம் mixed with the fresh ground rasam powder is the "rasam" of cooking. BTW, here kada means strong! Can anyone guess the price of 1 kg of this perungayam? You may want to buy a dozen barrels of crude oil!!
Where we will get kadamark perigayum. Our native place is dindigul. My five Chitties got married in dindigul and our thatha used to call cook from nagaiyanallur.
