    So, according to what you stated, with the emperor at the head, not the Pope but a pagan, 300 bishops voted for the wrong prevailing doctrine, since at least 3 prevailing doctrines were presented. Any bishop that did not comply was considered a heretic. Who picked up the food and hotel bill?

    And, we still did not have a Trinity since the Holy spirit was not determined until Constantanoble

    Neat. One teeny, tiny detail: a bearded ecclesiastic standing by Arius in one scene is wearing quite modern eyeglasses.

    It was Eusebius of Nicomedia - an Arian priest - who baptized Constantine the Great on his deathbed in 337.

    To cement the Dogma as Truth in writing. That which was organically perceived as truth by all. What they do not tell you is they prayed often before and after every day they met for spiritual guidance from the Holy Spirit.
    So many things are assumed because they are righteous men following Jesus. Those that were going against the tradition of the Church that Jesus Christ authorized Himself; Were needed to be brought back from their mistake. So they preserved and protected the faith as Jesus established it.
    Not one word of the Bible was false or erroneous or unnecessary and needed to be followed. Jesus did not speak in too many words (without pleonasm) but clearly and succinctly.

    Trinity in the Tanach. Psalm 33:6. “By the WORD (Jesus) of the Lord (Father) the heavens were made, and by the breath (Ruach = Holy Spirt) of his mouth all their host” (NASB)

    There is no question that Christians worshipped Jesus. The issue is the divinity of God. Even Arians worshipped Jesus

    This is an EWTN type video. Some what like “EWTN The Wolf in Sheeps Clothing, and part two. If this is Catholic teaching? Great 👍🏽! But if not 👎. Cause there is always key 🔑 points lacking to the side of The Catholic Church of Jesus Christ. Peace ✌️. 11/20/24.

    MIsleading. If the Trinity was already established before Nicaea, then, why have a council? Why the Arian discussion before the council? Why did more than 300 Bishops have to ALL agree to doctrine of the Son and Father. In fact, Nicaea established the relationship of the Father and the Son. The finalization of the Holy Spirit was not until the next council at Constantinople, 60 years later. Meaning, the Trinity was a developed doctrine over time and not affirmed by the early church Fathers until the influence of the emperor made it law.

      @@james4692seems more like someone using an objective lens vs attributing divinity to a bunch of disunified early priests, that indicated by their behavior they are not divine. Christian factions were created by the early church because each person thinks they are divine and correct with no diplomacy and little dedication to the truth aspect. They resulted in
      Relying on the most influential and powerful voices mixed with majority rule. Losers being labeled heretics.

      Withhout getting technical with words, more with Sabellius and Casiadoro of the Spanish translation. Jesus was both God and man. I and my father are One not two or three. God had many titles Isa. 6, 42, 43 etc. Jn. 10, 14

      @@rickydavis7391 so is the concept of the Trinity found in scripture or no?

    • @rickydavis7391
      @rickydavis7391 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@james4692 depends on what you mean by trinity. Does the Holy Spirit proceed from God or Christ or on its own will, or a combination of these. Is God the creator that used The Word to create existence and through existence did his word become flesh and dwell among men? Or was Jesus as a baby fully God? Or was the flesh of Christ from the beginning?
      The questions regarding the understanding of a trinity like concept are more debatable then the church presents. @Oscarjohn seems to be presenting a modalism argument, which was a worthy conceptualization in the early church.

    You are reading your belief into the OT scriptures. The Hebrew people in all there writings never stated or believed in a Trinity JHVH. Is your word a separate person of yourself? Does God have body parts. Many a time the hand of God conquered armies. The Mormons believe God the father had sexual relations with Mary. How else could she get pregnant? So, again when you go to heaven and stand before God, how many persons-gods will you see.

    A return comment that there were Jewish scholars that discussed another being in 200 AD... There have always been apostates and wolves in sheep clothing or agnostics but Deut 6 states God/Jehova/Yahweh/ Jesus is One Lord. All the other gods mentioned in the Old testament are imaginary thoughts of men

    This video WRONGLY portrayed emperor Constantine saying "We will hold the Council of Nicaea to unite our Faith".
    ❌ The Council was NEVER intended to unite the Christian Faith because it was not divided at that time when Constantine came to power the previous year. The fact is that a herectic priest Arius of the Byzantine Church wrongly taught that Jesus was of a created deity and inferior to that of the Father. The Pope of Alexandria opposed this and anathemized him through a local Council. Being a friend of Constantine's chaplain, Eusebius of Nicomedia, the latter informed him of his friend's predicament, so Constantine offered to host the discussions in Nikaiaa including the venue.
    ❌ Our Faith? Christianity was not yet the faith of Constantine in AD313 and he received baptism only 22 May 337 a few hours before he died from the hands of the heretic priest, Eusebius of Nicomedia.

    We baptize in the Name of Jesus, call His name over sickness, food, demons as did the apostles. Even Trinitarians should baptize in the saving name. The name of the Son is not son. The JWs claim the name of the father if Jehovah and the son is Jesus, yet baptize the the titles. ??

  • @oscarjohn
    @oscarjohn 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    At the baptism of Jesus, God is omnipresent, therefore can be in Jesus and yet speak from heaven, like a dove does not mean God is part bird. It is a metafor. It was a sign for John. Did one part of God die on the cross? When you stand before God , how many will you see?

  • @oscarjohn
    @oscarjohn 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    He is a mode of God. Jesus was not preexisting or created by the father. If all 3 are God, you have 3 Gods. Find that in Hebrew theology. "When you have seen me you have seen the father". Jesus did not say God. The apostles baptized in the name of Jesus because they under stood this. You either have a team, like Egypt, India and Mormonism or One God. You choose

    No, the trinity was Not a prevalent view, other wise why have the council meeting to determine and vote -not pray- for a dominant view. Sabellius had a modeling view. The 3rd person of the trinity - holy spirit- was not afirmed until the next Council 50 years later. All this was done in Constantanoble, eastern Empire or Turkey. Question: is the name of God "father, son, and holy ghost"? Does the 2nd person have a sub-name of Jesus? So, shouldn't a person be baptised " in the name of father, Jesus, holy spirit? Or as the Apostles understood: in the name of Jesus or Lord Jesus?

      The one name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit is YHWH. The man the Son became was (and still is) named Jesus.
