It's definitely a challenge! Learning the phonetic alphabet is the first step, and after that it's mostly about just learning the patterns of who to talk to and when, and what you'll expect them to say to you. 99% of the communications are predictable, you just need to hear them enough to recognize the pattern and respond in the right way! I still have a ton to learn myself, but it's much less intimidating after the first time around :-)
@@KipOnTheGround I do have the phonetic alphabet memorized from being in the military but it's pretty challenging. Last time I tried a vatsim flight from LAX to SFO the clearance was so complicated, when they said "did you copy" I just sat there frozen lol
Good video. Nice flight. Loved the scenery.
I liked the one channel trial you did. It made it more enjoyable. Just my personal preference. 😁
Great, I'll keep doing that from now on! It makes the audio much easier to follow I think.
I was N414XX KSAN-KSBA heard you on the radio and thought woah a diamond 😳😂
Man Kip....I tried vatsim and got smoked....couldn't write or understand fast enough. So back to msfs atc
