We are beyond excited and thank you for all that you do on this TH-cam channel and the PNP App! You have guided me specifically and I have then in turn passed on your reflections and lessons on to my wife and kids. I pray one day my family and I may be blessed to meet you personally and other Fathers that have guided me on TH-cam thus far like Fr. Peter Heers, Fr Zachariah and others! Please pray for me, I’m completely jaded of anything Christian. I’ve been to countless denominations, seeing horrible ridiculous things, and witnessed numerous peoples that call themselves Christian act worse and treat folks worse than non Christians would. I’ve watched literally every church I’ve attended continuously reaching for people’s pockets non stop while foaming at the mouth. I’ve heard hundreds of exaggerated testimonies and false healings. All of them business focused. I’ve literally for the past few days been watching deconstructing videos, and aithiest debates and I can agree with much of what I’ve heard. I’m literally scared to lose my faith in Jesus. If there are many people out there not saved I feel like most of these churches should be judged for it. Earlier today I stumble across a video on a man called st. Paisios and then another about my athos. Those videos gave me hope , and now im second guessing I for once seen something “Christian “ that seem to be authentic. Im still struggling with my beliefs and im just reaching out for praye

    You have been extremely wise to disable comments, Fr Trenham. You are definitely not overreacting, and I even hope you return to disabling comments. We're here to learn, or should be, period. The problem with online comments, in any space, is that it separates "trolls", or "keyboard warriors" from the natural potential consequences of their monstrous comments towards others. Said otherwise, unsavory characters say things online that they would never say in person, for reasons that are obvious. As someone who has participated in online message boards even before the existence of social media, there are obviously some bad comments I would absolutely like back, I confess that without exception or qualification, and I will answer for it one day. That being said, I've had to leave, along with Orthodox Christian users I've seen confirm the same on Twitter, other online Orthodox channels because of the prevailing bad behavior in their chats and comments. It was, precisely as you called it, "tremendous arrogance". Thank you, Fr Trenham. This was another wonderful video, perfectly articulated. God bless you. 🙏❤

    @stoneg.barrow9991 ปีที่แล้ว

    IMHO:
    The comment section, in general, is an excellent situationally-locational venue of employ for the "geographical mapping" aspect of data mining.
    Once any of us has signed the Terms and Conditions of Service of any content-creation-hosting service such as YT -- particularly should he be an OC who also may happen to be a US citizen -- he is now under the legal jurisprudential auspices of US Corporate Law, under which the Constitutional First-Amendment-protected Right to Freedom of Speech no longer primarily applies; as such.
    And, once any of us agrees to the Terms and Conditions of a Service such as YT, and as such is able to "Like" and "Comment" on videographedly-created content, then his comments are able to be seen by all on the Internet -- especially when his comments are made within the locational cyberspace of a personal Corporate Entity such as Alpha Beth and its subsidiaries, governed as such under US Corporate Law.
    The First Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of America was set up to guard for each US citizen his God-given Right to Freedom of Speech -- i.e., Freedom of Speech primarily from US Federal Governmental Legislative regulation, and secondarily from Executive and Judicial regulation; as such.
    Unfortunately, given these strictures surrounding the Bill of Rights, such a Right to Freedom of Speech does not appear to legally cover us as US citizens to say whatever we wish and be thus so legally indemnified thereby, particularly when we happen to have signed the Terms and Conditions of a company governed by US Corporate Law and thus allow ourselves to be governed by a legally-recognized subsystem of US Law not primarily covered as such by the First Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of America -- particularly under conditions warranted by one or many declared states of national emergency currently happening to be in legal effect and of which none has been legally rescinded [42 of them in all, since 11.14.1979]: which conditions are governmentally regulated as such via the National Emergencies Act of 1976, under emergency protocol wherein which Constitutional Law is able to be provisionally suspended, albeit not abolitionally revoked, to the US Federal Government.
    The State of Emergency declared by POTUS 45 on 03.13.2020 was no. 34 out of 42.
    This is how such legal measures can be taken by various agencies of the Federal Government as such, particularly under the legal jurisprudential auspices of the NEA of 1976, which legally so may allow for the POTUS under such conditions to be invested with the authority to delegate powers to such agencies to the end that they may so function to representatively govern the Republic, as it were, in loco presidentis, until such time as any or even all of said declared states of national emergency may be legally rescinded, as such.
    As a nation of the Second Republic, we have been under such a perpetually-provisional declared state of national emergency for the past 43 years and counting; this 11.14.2023 will thus serve to mark the 44th anniversary thereof, as it were.
    Once our personal commentary data are textually-graphically put by us on the YTCS, for example, it is assumed that they no longer legally belong to us, but ultimately to Alpha Beth - with whom each of us has so signed a legal corporate contract under the auspices of US Corporate Law, once we have checked the Terms and Conditions of Service to allow our personal data to be so used thereby, as such.
    And here is the Great Secret, if you will, of data mining:
    The ultimate aggregate target of such mining is not simply our data as a collective corporatized product;
    The ultimate target, as such, is We the People.
    I am thus no less guilty of so having sold my soul to the highest bidder for thirty pieces of silver [~US$200.00, in today’s currency] than anyone else in that regard; and for this I sincerely apologize and ultimately beg Divine forgiveness for my naïveté in this aspect of willful elective invoting, so to speak.
    Yet this is what every one of us may happen to be up against in the long run:
    A bait-and-switch cosmocratic animal-farm-trap game of extraordinary magnitude, wherein which not every one of us may so serve to function as Benjamin the Jackass.
    We know who we are.
    In the end, God alone knows who we are.
    Alpha Beth may know only what God may so permit, according to His holy will, and to His All-Holy Glory; at the End of the Day.
    May God forgive us all.
    Christ Is Risen.

    The Ortho-web is a dangerous place. Generally I don't do many comments with in it. If I do it's when I see people who are very interested in Orthodoxy that seem to be lost as to what to do. When I see that I encourage them to find a local parish and reach out to the priest and go talk to him in person and if they can't do that to at least go to a liturgy/vespers.
