Based on this talk, and before reading Jijith’s book, I thought the location of Lanka being in the vicinity of the Narmada river, as proposed by the author, would be appropriate based on the Kartavirya Arjuna and Ravana encounter in the Narmada river. But after reading the book, my analysis shows that the conclusion of the location of the Lanka doesn’t appear to be correct. The following Ramayana references are from Gita press English translation.
1-Sri Rama wanted to go away from Chitrakuta region, and to deep into the Dandakaranya, because the memory of seeing Bharatha at Chitrakuta haunts him (Ayodhya Kanda, Canto 117).
2-On that path, Sri Rama crosses many rivers of deep waters. (Aranya kanda, Canto 7, sloka 2)
Based on the above two references, one would assume that the Chitrakuta and Panchavati are separated by a long distance. But from his research, author places the Panchavati in the vicinity of the Chitrakuta mountain (Geography of Ramayana, Page 249). Based on this initial conclusion, author traces the path of Sri Rama and Laxmana and derives the location of the Lanka to an island at the mouth of the Narmada river.
Sage Valmiki compares the bridge, after its completion, with the parting of the woman hair (Yudha kanda, Canto 23, Slokas 77-81). Dark ocean on both sides probably looked like woman’s hair and the bridge as the skin on the center of the head. That in fact was a beautiful comparison. Same bridge was described as the MilkyWay in the sky (sloka 74). These comparisons of the bridge wouldn’t be justifiable to a bridge in the Narmada river. Moreover, constructing a bottom up bridge over a flowing river is not possible. Because of these reasons, I still believe the city of Lanka being somewhere in the island of Sri Lanka.

@Prasant Kumar, When will the scientist give evidence 1) The late Ram and Krishna were the avatars of Vishnu. 2) Hanuman, a flying monkey with a flaming tail existence. 3) Ganapathi, a composite MURDA 3) 100 Kauravas being the sons of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari, biologically FALSE and ABSURD. 4) Bhagwat Gita contains the verbal discourse Krishna claims to give to Arjun at the Mahabharath war 5561 BCE. 5) Krishna was present during the Mahabharath war of 5561 BCE when Krishna was believed to be born to Vasudev and Davki in 3228 BCE. Ravana is not a normal human being to have difficulty in seeing things and needing glasses or telescope to see across the ocean from the Palace of Ravana located in Sigiriya in the middle of Sri Lanka! One who can build a palace on top of a mountain like Sigiriya, should have a telescope, even if didn't have ten heads!

@drprashantbhatnagar6056; Dr. Sahib, How would it matter, Ramayan and Mahabharath are mythologies; Bhagwat Gita claims to contain the verbal discourse Krishna gave to Arjun at the Mahabharath War, 5561 BCE, when Krishna was born in 3228BCE, ~ 2333 Years after the Mahabharath war 5561 BCE. Ram's friend Hanuman, a flying monkey with a flaming tail never existed. Hinduism, a hypocritical belief, claiming to follow the noble doctrine of Ahinsha parmo dharma while glorifying through worship of Kalpanic KATILS like Ram, Krishna, and Shiva, who beheaded his son and like a fool, MURKH replaced it with a large and heavy head of a slaughtered elephant, crushing the beheaded lifeless MURDA, Ganapathi lying on the ground, worshiped for good luck and removing life obstacles, instead of removing the Ganapathi, a composite MURDA for cremation. Worship a loving and jivit Parmeshwar. Satyemeva Jayete.

In the original Sanskrit, it is not Ram but Rama. This phenomenon of "Schwa deletion" happened due to influence of Persian and has taken place the maximum in North Indian languages. The schwa is not deleted in Sanskrit and is retained in all Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam as well as Odia. So you have it the other way around.
