I have an Arcturus mini lite m4, with very similar stock , and the battery space is super small and it’s always takes more than 5 minutes to get the battery in,very aggravating, I’m going to change the stock after watching your video thanks again bro
I've been the same with the ARP for a few years. Like you said it gets very aggravating in the safe zone trying to get the battery in or change one out. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I hope the stock change goes well.
I order a stubby fixed stock from China and unfortunately the end cap is all plastic besides the screws of course. But because of the the plastic has started cracking where the long bolt goes in and I only own brick battery so it does fit but in order to fit it I have to remove the end cap to be able to slide the brick battery in there then bolt it back on then I can open up that little window to plug the battery in but the only complaints I have about that is when you're running the battery just bounces around in there and it makes quite a racket so you know a little thing I wanted to do was add some sort of either foam or or silicone padding in there so you don't hear the battery banging against the plastic and I do got admit that it is a little bit short I can only seem to find the 7 in which is this one and or the full size one which is I believe 10.3 in and if you take a standard crane stock and you open it all the way up to its longest setting and you measure from you know the beginning of the buffer tube to the end of the crane stock it's around 10 or so inches and it's just too long for me it's not comfortable I'm not a big guy but I'm also not you know super small guy but my sweet spot is when my stock is about 9 in from beginning of buffer tube to my shoulder. Supposedly they do make a 7 a 9 and a 10 which like if you've ever seen or held a full size M16 that has a fixed stock it comes with the large 10 in one and if it has a long handguard you have to have some pretty long arms for it even be comfortable. I run with my left hand on top of my handguard with my arm extended and that's why I chose to go with the short one but concept of you only being able to fit certain batteries through that little hole I'm not exactly fond of I wish that they would design it so you could mount that stock without having to mount it through the end cap.
The foam idea is something I've done on other replicas and works well to stop the battery bouncing around. As to stock length, a crane stock would definitely be an option. The easiest way to make that work would be to change out your battery from a brick type to either stick or nunchuck. You should be able to get away with a fully adjustable stock that way. I hope you manage to get comfortable for yourself and can make it work. Let me know how you get on. Apologies for the late reply.
Thanks for the video! I'm building a futuristic ARP-9 and have no clue how to replace parts on this gun. Could you do a video on how to replace the handguard/barrels to make them longer? :)
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Would love to see your build when it's finished. I can certainly look to do a video for changing handgaurds out. It's not to difficult to do. Really depends how long you want it. Mock suppressors can cover a longer inner barrel if that's what you were looking for. However if you want a longer outer and to make the overall replica larger then you absolutely would want a new outer and handgaurd. Leave it with me and I will look to put something together for changing handgaurds. Thanks again.

That's definitely not good. If that's the case you could always cut it down slightly. Hope this helps.

I will be honest with you I don't have any experience with the pxg-9. I've had a quick look round the Web and can't find any images of what the pdw stock is held on with. I would suggest removing the cap and stock section and checking if the assembly is held in place with a long bolt and washer as per most aeg buffer tubes(like the arp9). If it is then I don't see why it could not be swapped out. I'm sorry I can't be more help. If you do manage to find out more than me or if you manage to do it then please let me know how you get on.
I've found that regardless of mosfet fitted to the ARP9, whether that be the standard G&G one or something like the Perun ETU ++, it still works much better with an 11.1v battery. With that in mind the nunchuck style or crane style 11.1 Titan should fit in this stubby stock, however none of them will fit in the standard stock. The 11.1 stick fits but not satisfactorily. I did a previous video trying that set up out and wires still protrude and the end cap no longer fits. So ultimately no, a smaller Titan does not work in the stock ARP9. It's a shame as I reached out to them but they confirmed the sizes for their 11.1's are what they have and recommended the battery extension unit and one of their stick 11.1's. Unfortunately thought, to me it still doesn't fit.
@@rockbottomairsoft Thanks for the info! It's so hard choosing a decent AEG because I want to try and stick to Li-Ion for a bit better security compared to a LiPo, but then you have to content with compatibility :/ Its a shame that the NiMhs aren't really viable anymore.
Your absolutely right, battery fitment can be a real issue when choosing an aeg. LIPO, are definitely less forgiving than LI-ION, however if you take proper care of them they are not quite as dangerous as a lot of horror stories would have you believe. I prefer LI-ION these days just more to do with how long they last. You could still use NIMH, if you prefer. Although dated now I know a lot of people who still use them and a 9.6v gives reasonable performance. Having said that a NIMH certainly won't fit an ARP. LIPO or LI-ION is definitely rhe way to go these days. I'm glad to hear the info helped a little, if you need anymore let me know.
Apologies for taking a while to get back to you. I keep my batteries in the house. I store them in an old ammo tin with the rubber seal removed. I also keep them in charging bags while they are in the tin. Kind of a double layer of protection. Hope this helps.
I haven't worked on an ssg1 yet. But I know that essentially the stock on that replica is a drop adapter, so provided that when it's removed it leaves a hole to bolt to the spring guide(threaded) and a short mount for the buffer tube or in this case full stock then yes it should be possible. Hope this helps.
I haven't actually worked on the CA X9 so unfortunately I've had to try and rely on a bit of research for this one. From what I've discovered this guide for the ARP9 will not apply to the X9. It seems to have a different method of attaching the stock. It looks like it has a castle nut within the pdw stock which must be removed. This then leaves threads that a buffer tube can be screwed into. To be fair from the info I found it does not look like the X9 is the easiest replica to strip down but the stock is not impossible to change. Hopefully someone watching may have done it already and can help out here. If you do manage to swap it out let me know how you get on. I'm sorry I can't be more help.
There should not normally be a lot of resistance. You may have a little but not a lot. Certainly not enough that it would feel like it's cross threading. One way to check that the thread on your new crew matches is just to visually check against the existing bolt. Alternatively try the screw without the stock you are putting on in place, this would just confirm There are no alignment issues. If all else fails, try a different screw. I hope this helps.
You don't need that part to fit the stubby stock. The screw is retained against the butt pad. However you want to ensure you don't lose it as you would need it if you ever wanted to put the PDW stock back on. Hope this helps.
I've not tried myself, but having a look at it it should fit. The fitment looks the same as this stubby stock just a longer bolt due to being a full sized stock. But generally any stock designed for an ar replica should fit. Hope this helps.
There are lots of 3D printed options for drop stock spacers available if you have access to a printer. Or you can get hold of adapters like this: www.patrolbase.co.uk/badas-design-arp-9-556-firehawk-raider-combat-machine-drop-stock But ultimately, yes, you should be able to run a drop stock. I hope this helps.
Hi, I've just been doing a bit of searching to see if it will. I haven't worked on one of those myself, however I have found a few images where people have managed to fit a stubby stock. As long as it is a standard version 2 box and the stock is screwed in place using a spring guide screw then it should fit. Looking at the images I've found this looks to be the case so it should be a straight swap. The final answer in that case would be, I think it will fit but not having done it myself I wouldn't want to guarantee it. If you decide to do it let me know how you get on.
Alright, that sounds good. I did try and look it up as well. I've only seen 1 image of the kwa ronin t6 with the stubby, which i also own. The stubby stock on the t6 is really nice, and it should hopefully fit due to the eve4 being similar to the t6. If I snag a stubby stock I'll inform you how it went.
Hopefully should be a straight swap and a simple job. Thanks for letting me know how you get on, helps me out might help someone who's thinking of doing it as well.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. I believe that some of the other G&G range have a pdw style stock like this. It might need a bit of modding. The buffer usually has a longer section on the lower for m4's. This may cause fitment issues, but nothing a longer buffer screw or cutting wouldn't sort. Let me know how you get on.
Sorry, dont want to be "that guy" but phillips and posi-drive are actually 2 types of different screw head and using the wrong driver can actually lead to head stripping.
The stock is a Zero One stubby stock, you can get hold of one here, or for more details this is where I got mine from: www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/Zero-One-M16-Stubby-Stock-Black Hope this helps.
Does it matter on the brand of the stock? I've just tried to fit my TM m16A2 stock to my cmf-16k (has the same stock as arp-9) The long screw wouldn’t thread in all way. I've seen a G&G branded one but the screw is much shorter than the one you've shown in the video.
The stock brand may make a difference in some cases. As with all things airsoft, tolerances can be a bit irregular and not always the same. That being said the screw I use in the video is the one that came with the stubby stock. What you will find is that some stocks require different length screws but should still fit. For example a buffer tube would have a much shorter screw due to the way it mounts, the screw on the stubby stock has to go all the way from the but pad to the back of the reciever. The buffer tube is held under compression from within the tube so requires less length. So ultimately it boils down to which stock you choose, but generally the stock you use should come with the required length of screw. I hope this helps.
@@rockbottomairsoft Thanks man, I've noticed on fire support ICS make a stock for the M16 and then have another specifically for the TM, threads might be different.
Your absolutely right. Some manufacturers will stick to a straight copy of TM specs where as others may opt for their own. It's rare when talking stocks but it can happen. When you start talking recievers they can get really different.
You can indeed fit a buffer tube to the arp9 in the same manner as this stubby stock. You then have a wealth of options when it comes to stocks. However You should also be able to fit this stubby stock to any standard pattern M4 AEG. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately not. It would fit in a full stock rather than stubby and also the 11.1 nunchuck style would fit. I only have the stick due to the BEU trial I did. However I plan to get one of the 11.1 nunchuck batteries and that should fit fine.
I haven't actually tested it myself yet but the nunchuck should fit in the stubby stock. Neither will fit particularly well in the original pdw stock. If you have a full M16 style stock both should fit. Hope this helps.
What the heck? Did your ARP's lower receiver not have that weird inner tube/neck thing that comes on a lot of airsoft M4 receivers? Also, what the heck is it called? 🤔
I believe its called the lower reciever extension. However, I could be wrong, someone maybe could correct me if I am. On my ARP9 it does have the extension from the lower but it is very small, less than 1 inch. When I first saw it I was concerned it may cause stock fitment issues but thankfully it is still long enough.
@@rockbottomairsoft I figured it out. The little tail Tokyo Marui Spec guns have is apparently called a stock tail. Not an official term but that’s what it’s referred to. By the way. I finally got an arp9 in Stealth Gold Limited Edition. I immediately need to change the stock because the PDW stock sucks to shoulder and doesn’t allow me to get a good cheekweld or sight picture.

@@rockbottomairsoft I didn’t realize it the first time I watched your video but, you didn’t have to use a buffer tube on it? Would it make it more stable? I don’t want my stock to snap off of my gun. 😅
The full(m16 style) or the stubby stock I used don't rely on a buffer tube. They have a really long screw for the spring guide. Is more than sturdy enough. Used mine in game on Sunday. You can add a buffer tube if you prefer and then you have the same options as an Ar style buffer tube. But if I'm understanding correctly the answer would be no, you don't need a buffer to use a full stock or stubby stock. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the heads up. Is this only on a stubby stock you've found it doesn't work? The screw goes in from the butt plate so shouldn't protrude much further at the spring guide. Thanks again.
@@rockbottomairsoft it’s only the stubby stock from my testing, normal buffer tube based jobbys seem to all work no hassle. I’ve a full sized fixed/m16 stock that also works no bother.
@@rockbottomairsoft Sorry, one more question. Do you store your batteries outside? I live in an apartment, so options are limited
Apologies for taking a while to get back to you. I keep my batteries in the house. I store them in an old ammo tin with the rubber seal removed. I also keep them in charging bags while they are in the tin. Kind of a double layer of protection.
Hope this helps.
Do you think this would work with a ssg1 ?
I haven't worked on an ssg1 yet. But I know that essentially the stock on that replica is a drop adapter, so provided that when it's removed it leaves a hole to bolt to the spring guide(threaded) and a short mount for the buffer tube or in this case full stock then yes it should be possible.
Hope this helps.
does this also apply for the x9 nemesis?
When putting in the long screw is there a lot of resistance because thats what I'm getting and I feel like its stripping the threads
I hope this helps.
so did you use the metal part you said not to lose?
You don't need that part to fit the stubby stock. The screw is retained against the butt pad. However you want to ensure you don't lose it as you would need it if you ever wanted to put the PDW stock back on.
Hope this helps.
@@rockbottomairsoftahh okay thank you my screw was too long for mine trimmed it and it worked the bottom is still a lil bet loose is that normal?
@shmokealot778 the butt plate should tighten up. There's no play on mine. You could maybe try a thin washer under the screw head.
Will the matrix airsoft one work
I've not tried myself, but having a look at it it should fit. The fitment looks the same as this stubby stock just a longer bolt due to being a full sized stock. But generally any stock designed for an ar replica should fit.
Hope this helps.
@@rockbottomairsoft thanks 🙏
will this fit on a g&g cm18
Hi. Yes it should fit on any standard AR with a buffer tube currently.
Hope this helps.
Would you be able to run an the tapp 15° angle drop stock spacer with this ?
There are lots of 3D printed options for drop stock spacers available if you have access to a printer. Or you can get hold of adapters like this:
www.patrolbase.co.uk/badas-design-arp-9-556-firehawk-raider-combat-machine-drop-stock
But ultimately, yes, you should be able to run a drop stock.
I hope this helps.
Hello quick question would a stubby stock fit on a KWA EVE-4?
Would that stock you took off the arp fit another m4 aeg style rif? Im having an idea.
Very true. Couldn't agree more. In the majority of these replicas though I've not come across many issues as torque is not very high on the fasteners.
what stock is this?
The stock is a Zero One stubby stock, you can get hold of one here, or for more details this is where I got mine from:
www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/Zero-One-M16-Stubby-Stock-Black
Hope this helps.
When you start talking recievers they can get really different.
is the only for the arp 9 or could it go on 556 too
This stock will fit the 556 as well. The method to install it should be just the same.
Hope this helps.
Can that buffer tube fit other regular m4 stocks.
You can indeed fit a buffer tube to the arp9 in the same manner as this stubby stock. You then have a wealth of options when it comes to stocks. However You should also be able to fit this stubby stock to any standard pattern M4 AEG.
Hope this helps.
What front rail is that
That's the standard front rail that comes with the ARP9. It's MLOK and alloy.
Hope that helps.
@@rockbottomairsoft thanks
Did the battery end up fitting?
Unfortunately not. It would fit in a full stock rather than stubby and also the 11.1 nunchuck style would fit. I only have the stick due to the BEU trial I did. However I plan to get one of the 11.1 nunchuck batteries and that should fit fine.
@@rockbottomairsoft so shall I buy the nunchuck. Also I appreciate the fast response
I haven't actually tested it myself yet but the nunchuck should fit in the stubby stock. Neither will fit particularly well in the original pdw stock. If you have a full M16 style stock both should fit.
Hope this helps.
@@rockbottomairsoft thanks bro
Good to know, never knew that myself. Stock tail sounds good enough to me though, easier than me saying that stock thingy at site🤣.
That's nice I like the stealth it looks awesome. Have to let me know how it fairs. I would imagine it would be good. I never minded the pdw stock to much it was more the fiddling around with the battery that used to annoy me, got a lot of people on game days though that like you said just can't get on with it in game.
Looks ugly they got other customization?
There's lots of options for the ARP9. From skins to the usual attachment options. Stock wise you can pretty much fit anything that will fit an AR.
This won't work on a CM or Wild Hog just FYI. The screw is too long.
Not ruling out that I did put enough force into getting the screw in further but given it’s protruding a solid 2-3 inches I doubt that’s the problem.
That's great. Thanks for letting me know mate. I wonder if that's just a problem with those g&g variants or if it could be an issue with any AR based replica. I will be honest I've not tried the stubby stock on any other AR based replica but was considering a full size for one of my AR's. This has helped me out mate. Hopefully it will help others.
Thanks again.
Найс видос, на котором невидно нихуища

So I saw that the one that you linked is out of stock does the lancer tactical stubby one work?
I've just had a look at the lancer one and I see no reason why it shouldn't fit. It actually looks near enough the same as the one I used. I've not had experience with the lancer myself but I am confident it will fit.
Hope this helps.
@@rockbottomairsoft thanks bro will definitely try it out will reply to see as soon as I try it to tell you the results
That's great, will be good to hear how you get on with it.
@@rockbottomairsoft I just tried out the lancer stock mine did not come with the piece that fills in the gap on the stack so It didn't fit.
That's not good. Would be worth speaking to the supplier to see if it should have been included? The other option is to buy that piece separately. Finally you may be able to fit a standard sling piece if it's flat backed.
