I met James Taylor in an aerobics class in Salt Lake City many years ago. I just had to tell him how much I loved his music, I think I had seen him in concert 5 times and every one of his albums. He was so gracious and kind. He asked me if I was coming to his concert the following evening. I said I hadn’t gotten tickets, so he called his manager over and told to give this girl as many tickets as she wants. The manager said “James, I’ll give her 4 tickets” ♥️
That is so cool, lucky you!!! I love you James Taylor. your music has been a constant comfort to me for many years, so, Thankyou, and keep up your good work. love you, cat Haecker of Waterford Michigan. woohoo!
Marrying umph. I love James. I could listen to him talk for hours, even. Such a charismatic, kind, and funny man. I can’t imagine a life without James Taylor, but that is the beauty of music.. he will be with me until my end.
I am so Glad I moved to Canada because of Nixon! I Love Canada the home that was my parents were born in. I Am Canadian and just Love James so much! Right on for the memories💥
This song helped me during the end of a bad break up, "Oh at that time my heart was all broke, I looked like ashes and smelled like smoke ". Blessings James Taylor 🙏
I was married in Madison Square Garden it will be 40 years ago walking across the street with my future wife in a very long line, that's 2074 other couples and us. On a separate note, James was invited to an event our religious group helped with. We took care of his musicians, back-up singers, sound people, et. al. Everyone else just fawned over James which he deserves, but James loves his people. I believe he never forgot how we looked after his friends, as it should be in my opinion.
I started playing guitar on January 1, 2022 my goal is to one day play at least 4 of Taylor's songs. Most beautiful music i have ever heard. Caught my attention when i was a young man and it never left me.
Hey James, thank you for being such a blessing to us since 1975 when my wife and I first started dating. Our son's middle name is James and his younger sister's first name is Jamie. Guess who they are named after? A few years ago Jamie went with us to your concert in Seattle. She started crying when you first appeared. At the break you stayed and sat on the front edge of the stage and greeted every person that waited in line. I tried to get Jamie to get in line. She said we were too far away to get down there in time...then you greeted for more than 30 minutes!!...until the band kept trying to get your attention! Thank you for your beautiful and healing music. God Bless you and your family James.
I've been a fan since early 70's. This guy is so humble, because he has no idea how he has touched so many lives. Even in the UK he has so many fans. 🎶👍
No more one JT in the world. I learned English listening to this one best singer of the world. I listen to him for over 50 years. He's the best. 👏👏🏾 From 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Love James Taylor ❤ Such a beautiful sounding concert and very impressed with the sound quality, so whoever was responsible for recording this concert did a outstanding job!
Love the beginning and the powers of Overcomers. Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground. I always thought that I'd see you again, sweet Merilee. Bomar Garden forever. 1972. ❤Take me back, our sweet loving JT.
I used to write papers in college in my head while listening to “Walking Man” in my earbuds and walking across campus back to my dorm. I think it’s time to put One Man Band on while working on NaNoWriMo:)
🦋Amazing performance as always I love James Taylor and his sence of humor lmbo but true he's so creative with a twist of knowing how to write music and I truly respect him more for being a powerful artist in the music industry🦋👣🦋✌☝️
What a fine writeup on Larry Goldings, and some fine praise too. It's quite an accolate for James to talk about how well he "splits his hands" as a pianist, because as I've gotten better as a guitar player I've come to understand just how well James has adapted this approach as a finger-picker. James is never too flashy, but It's taken me thirty years of playing to fully appreciate just how fine a guitarist he is.
Love hearing the story behind the songs! More please🥰 The Playboy magazine interview with John Lennon and resulting book is GOLD! Need one with James❤️
I’ve looked up to you and your music since I was in high school in the 80’s. My since deceased mother and I went to your concert in State College, Pa. in 1985. For such a deep thinking person who imagines such poetic verses, it is hard to me to believe that you also can be so easily brainwashed by a television (cnn). To believe what is told to you rather than using your obvious discernment is troubling, especially given the fact that instead of Lynerd Skynerd and AC-DC in the 80’s. I listened to you in the backseat of my Chevy Chevelle in 81. My girlfriend at the time as well. Hopefully you have opened your eyes as to the anti American agenda of the left… There’s no way you could be so easily manipulated
You don't have any idea how many of those hands he ever shook. James I love your music but unsubstantiated criticism is the cheapest form of commentary anyone can do it and although you might get a quick and cheap laugh in the end no one really feels good about it. People far more qualified than yourself have taken their shots at Nixon and I' sorry but I think you should be ashamed of yourself
I agree with you, Falcon. James certainly is not one of those musicians!!!... James is such an easy going, very endearing, loveable and very light humored, good guy!!! And Robby, to be fair, I have to say, that in all honesty, I do believe you are being overly sensitive and hyper defensive. Hold on... must finish this later...
It's Nixon. Considering the crimes he felt empowered to commit, you really think he would shake anyone's hand? Also, James gets to express his opinion the same as you or I. I'm guessing if he loved Nixon you wouldn't say a thing.

I agree, I'm in my 70's, I have loved his musical genius for 50 years, amazing man, like you I will listen to James till I can no longer hear.
I agree wholeheartedly. JT has seen me through quite a lot and will always respect and love this incredible man.

James is a captivating story teller!
Raconteur supreme!
True. His verses just come alive in one's mental screen.
JT if everyone who loved you lined up they'd circle the globe, and smushed together real close to try and fit just once around.

Gawd, that was funny, James! Then comes the elegance of the music. Thanks for this memory!
You can get it on the "One Man Band - JT" DVD
I too have loved James from the beginning and have seen him many times live in concert. Miss Don Grolnick....Linda
Thank goodness for JT. He is looking good and his voice is timeless. I’m not feeling my age today. God bless !
My favourite song! I play it all the time. Have loved your songs since I was 18, i'm now 67! 🎶🎶🎶
I started playing guitar on January 1, 2022 my goal is to one day play at least 4 of Taylor's songs. Most beautiful music i have ever heard. Caught my attention when i was a young man and it never left me.
This is my favorite musical setting for J.T.--James and his superb "one man band" Larry Goldings! I would love to have been at this concert!

Do you have a song TWINKLING OF AN EYE?
JT still killing it after 58 yrs in the biz! Such an integral part of my younger years, still listen everyday, still love him today...and forever.
Even when you mess up you’re still great!! You could flub up all day and I’d still listen and enjoy.
James Taylor - the tuning fork to my heart. . .
This comes from my favorite album.
This song from James taken from the Album "Hour Glass".
Carlos Vega was the Drummer, I miss Carlos dearly.
R.I.P. Carlos.
You've inspired me to give another shot at guitar, I wanna be able to sing and play like this some day
This concert is legendary!
I used to write papers in college in my head while listening to “Walking Man” in my earbuds and walking across campus back to my dorm. I think it’s time to put One Man Band on while working on NaNoWriMo:)
One of my faves too

This man is so gifted with a voice that makes every word a pleasure to absorb as you drink it in like healing water to a man dying of thirst.
You made all life being...... Thank you for that

I've been exposed to James Taylor's music since I was a kid. I've always loved it, but didn't realize until this video how funny he is!
listen to you daily
I would in fact listen to James Taylor read the phone book with witty interjections. Long live the Songwriter King JT.
Great Man
Right on
Yes
Delicate lyrics
He is just amazing.
I caught JT in Oslo years ago with just his keyboard guy. Magic. Memory for life.
James is the sh!t !❤
Beautiful, James!
Hourglass is still one of my favorite JT albums. Listening to it feels like a stroll in the clouds.
What a beautiful human
Oh yes! Thank you James.
Love it
Jt is so much funnier and relaxed performing now than he used to b. I saw him in 1972 and all he did is sing. So much better now!

There are several reasons why I love JT
Hell yeah 👍
MG still loves JT 💖💌💓💙💚💫💜
♥️💎🤗
Too funny 😂
That’s really funny! 🎉😂

🎸
😀😀😀😀😀
The real JT
Not only does he sing and play like a monster, hes hilarious also 😂
His monologue is a bit bizarre, no? Much as I love him, he maybe showing the excentrities that made him a great artist.
Like to suggest a name for a song. (A friend for a song )
That wave of Nixon makes me laugh 😂
There aren't any mobeta trubadores.
Hmmm
What if if happened all the time ??? 😎🤣
I believe in God
Stick to what you know.
Nixon was better than you know
