  • Thieves stole my brothers bike from me. The Sheriff's Department got it back and returned it. The thieves destroyed the top end. The CR80 sat for 12 years before I rebuilt it.
Today is Two-Stroke, Tie Dye and Taco TUESDAY! :-)
    I'm running Motul 8002T premix at 32:1.

I had an 89 cr80 they were some fun bikes to ride and very quick. Then my sister purchased brand new 1990 KX80 BW and after riding that I fell in love with it. wish I still had both of them.

If it had a rebore and new piston and rings it would be more than an 80 probably a 100 ,I had a rebore and new liner in my cylinder and new piston and rings ,three rings instead of my two and on my honda cr 250 and they ran it in for me ,very important to run it in and not rag it till its run in and tested the engine and said it was close to a 300 and they race tuned it and when it came back it was a beast ,it was amazing before being a Honda cr250 elsinore but this thing ripped 😂😅

The bore was reconditioned back to the original size. Search for the piston and part number. You'll see that it is the standard piston. A 100cc engine, with the stock stroke, would require a 4.11mm overbore. That is huge! The cylinder was bored slightly, plated to a smaller than original diameter, then honed back to the original 47.5mm bore diameter.

Without seeing it and knowing the condition, it's impossible to accurately determine the value. As for the future, that's your decision. I don't know what you want out of it. They're not collectors items, but everyone loved them.
