I looked high and low for that Dr. Strange all year until I found an entire end cap full of them a week before Christmas at Walmart. And for $19. I should have bought a second one.
When I started collecting, I only bought a figure if it got a good review from our boy here lol, now that I'm a collector with some knowledge I make up my own mind , still use he's recommendation though lol . Hope your well Nathan 👋
I would’ve been so happy if they would’ve mad a third Knull head sculpted where his jaw is missing and his tongue hanging out. Then his jaw could’ve been a separate accessory to replicate that awesome scene of Thor against Knull
Hi! So glad to see your personal top Marvel Legends list! I was afraid for a while we would never get one or that there would only be one that was a fan vote, which, I'm sorry, I find much less interesting. Anyways, it was an amazing list and I don't really disagree with any choice (even Wong because his likeneness and costume are great). I think you totally justified the inclusion of Rhino. I don't really collect Spidey villains, but damn, Rhino, Shocker, Hammerhead and Lizard look cool and are so tempting to get. Glad to see Maggot get some love, he deserved his spot and maybe higher. Agreed with Doctor Strange at number 1, but once again, I must say he was never regular price at release, he was a little more expensive, the deluxe price point of that time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But still it was a great package and great value. As for who's missing, for me it's obviously Spiral, but then I read the other comments and I now know why. ;-) I thought it might have been because of the gummier plastic but then thought it couldn't be just because of that. Checking other comments, I was reminded of Toad that would have been a nice inclusion. However, considering how expensive he was for what you got, he didn't deserve the recognition. And how's that for a video idea? Marvel Legends I forgot to include in my annual top lists! ;-) Or how about Flashback or Throwback Top Marvel Legends lists for years where you weren't on TH-cam, perhaps one for each year. Cheers!
I like it cause it feels like he's reading my mind on these videos 😂 I too think dr. Strange should be at least top 3 in any 2022 list but most people are all hyped up with 'the new thing' and forget good things that were released earlier on. Also I really don't care for MCU figures but some I had to get and Kate Bishop and Moon Knight were a couple of those 'must buy'. Kate has such a great sculpt, face and poseability that I couldn't pass. Likewise Moon Knight is such a beautifully done figure that I had to have it. 🙂
Symbiote Spidey is the one Marvel Legends I got from this year. Wish I got a Kingpin when I saw it at retail to go with him and 2015 Hobgoblin wave Daredevil (I didn’t have them at the time; long story).
The Retro line is the best thing to happen to Marvel Legends. I hope they don’t ever change that packaging. I wonder how many people don’t care about Quake & just have one female SHIELD body for Maria Hill, like me. 😅
My top 3: Retro Lizard, King in Black Venom, and Retro Symbiote Spidey. Going forward, I hope Hasbro takes some good notes on what figures are selling best. I don't mind spending $25-$30 on a Marvel Legends figure, I don't really even mind spending $100-$150 on a single figure in general, so long as the value is there. As long as Hasbro puts out figures with great quality, I'll pay what I need to.
Honestly I don't think there's anything I disagree with about this list. Maybe a few minor position changes but other than that I don't think there's anything I'd add or remove. V excellent list :)
Great list Dave! Bring on 2023!! Wondering if Hasbro will continue the retro spiderman line. Adding a soft goods lab coat to the retro Lizard would've put him over the top.
MCU Moon Knight is easily the best Moon Knight that Marvel Legends has came out. I as well have the mezco Moon Knight figures and I still wanted this guy.
VHS Wolverine was just such a nostalgia trip and a good figure…..man that would have been one for the list :). The price increase though dampens a little i know
Doctor strange is a good choice to be number one on the top 25 marvel legends list I mean he is a good figure he's probably the best interpretation of a classic marvel legends 616 doctor strange.
Outstanding list and presentation. You even won me over on a few I didn't care much about previously. Just can't figure out how they are so inconsistent, not even doing the basics on some and knocking it out of the park with others.
That’s fair enough but I think I have enough experience with the figures to know how good they are and it would seem disingenuous to just pretend they’re not out there and as good as they are.
Not trying to invalidate your opinion or experience. Just expressing a preference regarding a top list selection process. With that said, I listened to your intro again and heard the qualifying statement. Cheers! Btw... Loved your Abomination, I mean Ch'od (Chad) review.
I was with you until you put Wong and Kate Bishop above Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man 🕷️ and Symbiote?! 😂 In the words of Dave: “I don’t get it, I don’t see it.” 😁 Do yourself a favor, pickup AF Spidey, use him as a pocket figure for a couple days and break it out for a pose session. You’ll thank me later 😉
Idk what it is but my essential comic Black Panther is the vintage card version with that iridescent body, I don't see what the hype is for the latest Black Panther
I completely forgot that the exclusive Doctor Strange came out last year. Still torn on whether he or RYV Spidey comes out on top. Strange has a lot more work put into him... but he also just isn't as possible and fun as Spidey. Just depends on what I want at any given time, I guess. Though I will say... this video does make me want to change my votes for your 2022 awards even more, just to split the difference and give ML of the Year to Strange and just let Spidey have the box set one.
Honestly, Dr Strange is a great figure, in my top 10 of 2022 for sure. But I disagree it should be top, and the one thing stopping it is its billed as a "deluxe" figure, which I disagree with. I was lucky to get my Strange 2nd hand for £16, minus the Blue Mage head as there was no way I was paying the £26 - £31 stores were asking for. He should have been part of a wave standard and those accessories should have been standard too.
ASM #15 you say it has the underarm webs and it IS shown in the (3D rendering) picture on the box but does the figure have it? I can’t tell but doesn’t look like it does…
i was wondering if i should hunt down lizard and strange even though they aint the easiest to get for a nice price these days but seems like i might have to right?
Bold of you to assume that 25 Legends figures from last year were actually good. I've completely fallen out of love for the line after handling many figures that don't have things like butterfly joints or extra hands. I'm much happier paying for another companies product knowing I'll get those things, it's also nice to not support Hasbro and their shitty practces
I call it now Dave when x men 97 comes out maggot will be in it and Dave will be making a wishlist episode who needs pick up and maggot will be on there and of course I will watch that video he makes 😂😂 love your content
Oh man that might be one of my the longest comments. XD Sorry GREAT top I agree. If that's YOUR not objective top It's perfectly fine. Some of these are in mine too. This year has been amazing for ML and I'm happy with how it turned out. There were disappointments, of course, but there's no point in focusing on that. There are still figures that I would like to get to the top but they were not that perfect and didn't have big attachment: 2pack ock. he looks almost perfect but maaaaaaan tentacles are pain in the butt XD Black Panther it's not my favorite design because of grey gloves and boots but he is fine Knull really good but don't have big attachment And now my top 15 I guess. Like you said, maybe I'll change my mind about the order below because the top 6 stays for sure. Especially since I still don't have some figures. But these are my favorites and the order doesn't necessarily matter because I like them the same. 15. Retro Symbiote spider-man. He managed to get the top because the costume is great and the figure is perfect in my opinion. Pins don't bother me. he has all the hands. and it's a good figure. simply 14. Comic Gorr. And for now just 4 places figures that I don't have but I definitely have to get them eventually but I know they will be in my top.I don't really know the character that well, but he has a great design and the figure looks great. normal hands, one with a sword, a hooded head and one furious without. And I would definitely like to know more about him. He looks badass. 13. Toad. I love such absurd characters and funny. And yet the toad is one of them. Same with the blob I've been waiting for a hell of a long time for the new blob and toad and I'm finally getting them. This is my rather favorite version of the toad. yellow and purple suit, skinny. The articulation is cool and the accessories are all right. Fists, open hands, frogs XD and interchangeable heads one with a sneering smile and the other great with a tongue 12. Amazon exclusive 3pack Venom. And yet it is a venom that is still in my top because hasbro fulfilled my wish and they finally did a repaint of this retro venom. Great articulation, nice proportions. Very cool two new heads. PHENOMENAL head of eddie and venom half something WONDERFUL. And the other normal one which is interesting and I haven't seen anything like it before. smaller mouth, not so big teeth, squinted eyes, and a damn long tongue. this Venom is definitely more classic. and it's also nice that there are no more holes in the shoulders, but on the other hand, these tentacles sticking out only from shoulders look as if they came from nowhere IMO because there are no other in different places . Which is a bit off to me. 11. Deluxe Mojo. I love how he is recreated. The articulation is fine, I wouldn't expect much from such a character. That's how huge he is and now to my surprise I like this Deluxe version more than from the box set because even though there is not that much painting, it looks more outstanding to me because I already have some yellow characters on the shelf and it looks more disgusting like rotten pale flesh. On the other side the box set hmmmmm I don't know the dirt on stomach, finger nails, more colorful wires. Comparing to him deluxe one is weaker. But looking just at the deluxe he is so good. 10. Iron Spider is really cool I didn't expect to like him so much. Glossy paint, articulation, the whole look of the figure. Unfortunately, it is not worth the price because I miss wall crawling hands and more movement points in these legs, which makes me feel limited. But still a very nice figure and I had a lot of fun with it 9.20th Captain America. I don't have much of an attachment to this character. And captain was never my favorite character. I always liked Iron man and HULK much more. But the figure is really respectable. The articulation, the whole look, the accessories where it really shines. Steve Rogers' head, saluting hand, pointing hand, open palms, fists, and the shield effects are great, I just don't like the lightning bolts because without thor it doesn't make sense to me. And that's the only flaw that is quite serious for me - holes in the shield and since I don't have any other, I'm forced to always keep it with the effects. And also these old-school bases and cards which for me really nicely improve the presentation of figures and this applies to everyone: Hulk, Iron man and Toad 8. Retro Shocker. And it's a character that definitely has an interesting design. And actually the only drawback are those old effects that even do their job but could be better. I thought I would be bothered by the fact that the nets are not painted, but I like it better that way, so more realistic. and the accessories, sculpting, articulation and overall look of the figure I like it 7. First Appearance Spider-man/ Amazing Fantasy 15. I love they did the first look. Smaller bodymold, Black and red, web wings + more squinted eyes. Perfect. Great articulation, Accessories and proportions for IMO clearly younger Peter Parker. THis is one of the best spider-man action figures of all time. It's not my IDEAL Spidey but he is cool. The TAS one is really beautiful but it's not my favorite but brith blue the head is outstanding. 6. 20th Anniversary Hulk. The first time I saw him, I didn't like the heads at all. Well, it wasn't my ideal hulk. But when I saw more photos and reviews, I was really hyped. Upgrade in terms of painting many shades of green, more visible torn purple pants, articulation like the previous ones but since I had not dealt with this bodymold before, I was enchanted. Accessories include fists again, open hands, mandroid helmet trophy so cool, and a very cool effect base. HULK SMASH!!!!!!!. I LOVE IT. And surprisingly, the part of the figure that I thought was the worst turned out to be the best. Heads one more so moody or growling and TOTALLY ANGRY something amazing how alive it looks. They Killed it and it is UPGRADE. 5. Retro Rhino It is a very old figure, but I think it looks good in this case, the proportions are perfect for me if I think of a rhino and it's fun to pose. I love the new heads more bright grey and those details , fists, open hands that can hold spider-man. PERFECT charge position. The articulation could have been better, but the way it looks overall hides any flaws. I didn't expect to love it so much but I had so much fun with him suprisingly. 4. Retro Lizard. I've been waiting a long time for a lizard that is more humanoid than monstrous. Like the one from the box set from toybiz fear some foes. I love the accessories and option to display him more modern and first appearance where like you I just LOVE those first ridiculous designs and in Lizard case they Nailed it and Killed it!!!!! Super articulation, perfect design. Great articulation. Wire in the tail. I love it, I can't believe there are still people who don't like this lizard. He's great! 3. KiB Venom thats a fun one and has interesting story. At first I argued a lot that I DON'T WANT a comic book venom on this body because it's too big. And I prefer omega red bodymold 100 times more but when I first saw it, I saw reveal, reviews and photos on instagram where he is posed together with RyV spider-man. He is PERFECT. This is THE BEST VENOM AND UNDERRATED as hell headsculpt with tongue of all time. This is my venom. This is exactly design and look when I think of Venom. Tongue not to long is more wavy and you can see that it is slimy, big eyes. Second head with smile and closed teeth is funny I like it not that much as the other but it's funny XD. of course fists and opened hands. And the wings which are such a ridiculous idea but they fit venom very well and look great with them. And when I keep it without them, the holes honestly don't even bother me. Bodymold can be seen that it is a symbiote of these textures, sculpting and how it shines much more brings this figure to life. Venom can also change its size, but even if it looks a little tall, you can always put it in a crouch and it already looks much better. Even weirdly I like the idea that venom actually has feet and not socks XD. Which I think fits more modern venom and looks alive again and they are one with eddie than just a costume. 2. VHS wolverine I missed on the previous ones, still would like to get the Love Triangle 3pack one because of battle damaged head, bone claws and darker blue, but this one is for me special he totally works as comic book one, the shading is not bad it is actually really good and because of it I love this figure even more. He stands out. Good claws they were disorted but after heating they perfect. Not like the claws of previous ones when you over and over again have to set them up as you want. Bright blue and yellow, angry head, calm head, even I like this photo of Jean for meme it was fun XD But I will not hide instead of this I would like to get unmasked head and fists. But this is one of the best Classic Wolverine of all time. And 1. Is RyV spider-man I love this figure, articulation, the whole design, how figure looks, he has every accessory he need, love the darker blue for some reason, big eyes, bright red, bigger symbole just like Mark Bagley Spider-man My favorite. My favorite figure in my entire collection. And he is just PERFECT , there is nothing more to say . XD
You had made a video at some point where you praised the Peacemaker show without spoilers, so you might get some good views if you made a video about The Last Of Us show where you praise it and what you like about it without spoilers as well, while it is new and trending!
I'm probably gonna keep commenting but are you gonna do a worst of MLs 2022? I kinda hope not I personally wouldn't watch it, not into the negative vibe Edit: I mean obvs critique is always valid but I think a video of you just constantly scolding wouldn't be v fun 😭
I'm leaving a version of the comments I left under the live stream in case other people might not get to see them but might agree and also benefit from anything I've written in those, as it might not be available for them to see after a while: "@aFoxyFox. @aFoxyFox. 0 seconds ago Since you might be trying to get more fit again for your new work in Japan and all the things you'll be doing now, it may be a good opportunity to start making videos showcasing that and including little tips here and there, as many of us would like to become motivated and more fit again too after some years under the lockdown mentality and conditions which might have led to deteriorating health and becoming lax about some healthier habits and daily activities and routines, it would be good for everyone, despite any objections from people (or trolls disguised as people). It would also be nice to include the community in on some of your packing activities, videos on organizing, cleaning up, moving, vlogging life type videos and turning the channel slightly towards some "travel" and "travel prep", "moving" and "life in Japan" reality type videos that are also comedic and silly, that will help the channel a lot probably and many people are interested in all those sorts of details and realities and finding out about how it is, all the thought processes involved, all the paperwork, the whole story all throughout. You can also get the community involved with things that make them feel they have an impact on what happens on your channel, by including an opportunity for everyone to vote or submit videos of what you should buy before going and taking with you, or taking from your collection, or just some kind of votes set up that include the most people and their input. You may also want to make a video that has people come up and have the opportunity to talk to you live before you leave, and maybe also do some sort of meet up like when people would meet you at the local conventions or whatever, so that the people who might like to see you locally can visit you and talk to you personally before you go further away to Japan. All these sorts of activities and videos about them will build up a nice amount of hype probably and get people excited about the changes, and the well-wishing and all the nice sentiments from people will also get you feeling nice and good about everything too, giving you lots of encouragement and confidence about all you'll be doing in Japan. The whole Japan scenario and real life there should be documented if possible, and it will introduce a whole bunch of people to you and your content as well, the channel should be about your personality, life, and comedic ways, and then everything else is just stuff that you are into which your viewers will likely also be into or otherwise will get into as well. Not to take advantage of all these opportunities or even all your skills that you've practiced and developed over the years and all your knowledge, and what you enjoy, would not really be helpful to the channel, and I think that just sticking too strictly to toys might have reached the ceiling in some ways, and like the ending of Willy Wonka, lol, you should really get into much more, and the people who enjoy you and your company and commentary will be there for the (elevator) ride, or in other words, for the rise! Some people may say silly stuff, and the results might not show an immediate response, but sometimes it requires an ongoing effort and consistency, and then the people will discover you, who find your videos and search terms that you put in and share it with others who are interested in topics that you don't typically cover on the channel currently but can in upcoming videos. I do believe that you can still make a side career and safety net and extra cash out of a major expansion of content on this channel that goes far beyond toys and even beyond overall nostalgia into focusing on your funniness and enjoyable company, that the channel is about you and all your thoughts and interests, and most of all about you being enjoyable to watch and hear from, no matter what you're doing except maybe two things more people might not want to see you doing. Part 2 In the Following Comment (It was posted before Part 1 Above).
Part 2: "▼ Reply @aFoxyFox. @aFoxyFox. 0 seconds ago Oh yeah, I was happy to discover Matt Berry made a second season of Toast with Toast of Tinseltown which I saw tonight and which might be enjoyable for anyone reading this to check out, and also I'm enjoying Year of the Rabbit, also starring Matt Berry which has an actor I think is really outstanding in everything he does named Paul Kaye, who always seems to really give his all in performances and stands out as the best actor always in my view anyway. Also there is an actor in it whose last name is Fox haha. I also watched Lois & Clark the 90s Superman show and it was so enjoyable, I was really impressed that they were able to give such a "Mary Sue / Gary Stu / Marty Sue" character like Superman a lot of character and issues, and overall the script was very nice, the performances, the set design, I thought it was so superior. I also heard some disturbing news, and that is that Timothée Chalamet is playing Willy Wonka? I'd like some jokes about that if possible haha. Actually, I just looked up his name to get the accent mark to copy paste it like that here, and I saw his weird smile and I thought it did sort of look Wonka'ish. Actually, this Wonka stuff has been coming up, in a weird TikTok that had some weird thing where some lady is flirting with "Johnny Wonka" and then also I'm watching a really vile and ugly cartoon from Adult Swim called "Superjail" which has a Willy Wonka sort of character as the Warden. Anyway, I'm sort of annoyed with these same few actors being shoved into everything over and over because of a risk reduction strategy with studios and they are just being really un-creative while a lot of talent is being looked over and still isn't reaching the audiences they should while what I think is pretty much junk is getting promoted. My idea that new stuff is way worse seeming than older stuff seems to be pretty much factual since I am directly comparing older things with newer things and in practically every respect the older things seem way better, with a lot of care put into the every shot apparently, the costumes, the sets, the acting seems a lot better, there seems to be a level of intelligence even that isn't present in the newer stuff as far as I can tell, it just seems really shallow and bad these days, the visuals are often very poorly conceived. Check out this clip on TH-cam, it is so entertaining and good and it is just a dance number but it is beautiful and cool and seemingly clearly following very carefully designed drawings and ideas, it is a 9 minute video that would've been really awesome in a James Bond movie or something, and the cinematography is so nice, the women look really nice, everything about it is entertaining and stimulating without much even going on, compared to modern stuff which seems so dull and deadening and like stretching time, also like some TH-cam videos in the boring essay style: "Sweet Charity 1969: The Aloof, The Heavyweight, The Big Finish (HQ) Bob Fosse" I'd put a link but I don't want TH-cam to remove the comment. Besides that, I also watched some Music Videos from another Mongolian Music Group like The Hu called Otyken but they weren't that great overall compared to this much older stuff still, though I liked it enough, but just looking back, so much seems way better and getting a little worse as time went on, and then much more rapidly degenerating in the last 7 years or so. That is why I'm hoping that people with the tastes like ours (and me) are able to achieve things and get to a place where we can produce creative content and try to improve the situation that these big studios seem to be messing around with, and the same kind of badness seems to be happening in the toy industry too in some respects, at least the Western toy industry, but maybe overall too, as very few things are seeming to inspire me from modern media products in the West and possibly from elsewhere as well. I've cancelled most things, and I haven't seen much that seems interesting to me, so at least I'll save some money hopefully, but I do enjoy being excited about things. Actually, I'm looking forward to the new adventure with this channel and community and I'm glad you're finally able to get to somewhere that might have some more interesting things going on for while, but I think it would be really fun if you get more involved and embrace a lot of the stuff you might not know about from Japan, old media, toys, shows, anime, Tokusatsu monsters, art books, also things with interesting designs like old as well as new games, horror games seem to have some of the better designs sometimes, particularly some more obscure ones. I just hope that "family friendly" doesn't detract from the freedom you should feel to explore interesting and inspiring stuff, as I think the majority of us are still adults who are looking for fun and interesting things to look into and discuss or form opinions about. That is why Good News is always fun, where you joke about things that you find or look into and which we didn't know about really, and then kidding around about it, that is really fun. I had a great time in the chat and watching the stream, thank you very much for making it! I'm glad for everyone who made it there and that I was able to make it there as well and talk to everyone too, I think that is one of the strongest features of this channel, the community, but I still think Comedy should be King and that is what made the chat most enjoyable, when it reached maximum silliness, roasting, joking around, that is what I love best and when I have the most fun, when I'm laughing a lot! I watched one of my favorite old comedies also recently and it was very nostalgic for me, that is Bananas by Woody Allen. It proves that even a low budget comedy with not the best imagery can be way more enjoyable, silly, and funnier than a lot of modern stuff with far greater budgets, I think the modern people making these things might have fried their senses of humor or just don't care and are all about the money or something. Oh yeah, it is currently trending to make fun of the new show "Velma" too, so you may want to check that out and make a video about it, which should get views, especially if you make the video funny and enjoyable throughout, no matter what your position ends up being regarding that animation or the style of the comedy. I saw half of the first episode, it had a few ok jokes maybe but it was quite unpleasant and not so nice to characters who were basically like our other mothers since we grew up watching them lol. ▼ Reply @aFoxyFox. @aFoxyFox. 2 hours ago Great stream, but it is a collaboration of all the best!" I looked high and low for that Dr. Strange all year until I found an entire end cap full of them a week before Christmas at Walmart. And for $19. I should have bought a second one.
He's brought back the "action figure" in the "action figure video podcast" yaaaaaay!!!!
This was most definitely an action figure video podcast!
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour how about pop culture video podcast for the non-action-figure-specific episodes?
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour I wonder why you dropped it in the first place? To make it roll off the tongue easier?
I love that you gave Shocker his props. I completely agree! No painted lines necessary. The brand new sculpt having them is fine.
It’s always Dave forgetting the great figures, last year it was ultron, this year it’s Spiral!
Yep, that was a big "D'oh!" moment when i realised I'd done that.
You actually got me to buy a few of the figures on this list you'd reviewed. Better job of marketing some of these figures than Hasbro themselves!
When I started collecting, I only bought a figure if it got a good review from our boy here lol, now that I'm a collector with some knowledge I make up my own mind , still use he's recommendation though lol . Hope your well Nathan 👋
In surprised spiral didn’t make it
Me too. I just forgot!
ohhhh, no spiral? lol thought she got a lot of love from you in your videos. anyways great list!
Yeah erm… I actually forgot!
I don’t care about toe articulation unless it’s a spider man.
I would’ve been so happy if they would’ve mad a third Knull head sculpted where his jaw is missing and his tongue hanging out. Then his jaw could’ve been a separate accessory to replicate that awesome scene of Thor against Knull
That would have been gnarly!
Couldn't agree more with Doc taking the first spot!
Cheers!
I like it cause it feels like he's reading my mind on these videos 😂
I too think dr.
Gotta keep an eye out on the second hand market!
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Definitely. In the meantime, fingers crossed for an unscheduled rerelease, update, or new version
I’m interested to see how they do MCU Kingpin since it will have to be a brand new figure 🧐
The Retro line is the best thing to happen to Marvel Legends. I hope they don’t ever change that packaging.
I wonder how many people don’t care about Quake & just have one female SHIELD body for Maria Hill, like me. 😅
Keep up the great videos, these are extremely fun, helpful, informative, and I’m such a huge fan+ I think I always will be🤘🏼
My top 3: Retro Lizard, King in Black Venom, and Retro Symbiote Spidey.
Great list. Tip of the hat for the top choice. I almost thought that Dr Strange was going to be forgotten as you were finishing your list. Kudos!
Wow! I've got 14 of these. Not a bad return. Great video and loved the selections.
That's a good year right there!
@Displaying Model Behaviour and Dr Strange was right to be top!
Love your reviews…honesty is the best policy.
You really got me interested in a few figures like beast and renew your vows because of your spectacular reviews
Great list Dave! Bring on 2023!! Wondering if Hasbro will continue the retro spiderman line. Adding a soft goods lab coat to the retro Lizard would've put him over the top.
Spiral?!?!?????!
Epic top 25 list, Dave.
MCU Moon Knight is easily the best Moon Knight that Marvel Legends has came out. I as well have the mezco Moon Knight figures and I still wanted this guy.
VHS Wolverine was just such a nostalgia trip and a good figure…..man that would have been one for the list :). The price increase though dampens a little i know
I want to see Micronauts Marvel Legends. Acroyear would be a bad ass action figure!
Maybe one day!
I use to have butt load of Micronauts even had black and white horses
I think the Elektra bird's nest hairstyle was based on the artwork of Mike Deodato Jr.
You may well be right!
I know man. The diversity in quality is crazy
Been waiting for this!
Appreciate the list. Some very nice picks. Apologies but not sure I can get behind ranking figures that aren't part of one's collection..
Cheers!
Btw... Loved your Abomination, I mean Ch'od (Chad) review.
missed Spiral on this list
If I got Beast idk if I could open it it looks so beautiful NIB. I got Lizard the other day and now I need a 2nd NIB
Great list, thank you!
X-men 97 Bishop maybe the best Marvel legend I've ever seen. Bishop is clean af.
He’s very nice looking
MCU Moon Knight!! Love the design of it
8:57 I drew brown lines onto my shocker.
Only one of two Marvel Legends I purchased last year was Classic Dr. Strange, terrific. Watcher was the other one
Hey dave, where did you get the grey sentinel in the background?
Is a 3D print a buddy of mine made
Let’s hope wave 3 of the Spider-Man retro wave is good this year hopefully a new doc ock with actual bendy arms
Fingers crossed!
I got the Mojo pack for £60 in a flash sale and like, what a good buy oh my god, I wasn't even mad about the Wolverine at that price
Bargain!
I was with you until you put Wong and Kate Bishop above Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man 🕷️ and Symbiote?! 😂
In the words of Dave: “I don’t get it, I don’t see it.” 😁
Do yourself a favor, pickup AF Spidey, use him as a pocket figure for a couple days and break it out for a pose session.
You’ll thank me later 😉
I’ve only just been introduced to the notion of a pocket figure. I like it!
Idk what it is but my essential comic Black Panther is the vintage card version with that iridescent body, I don't see what the hype is for the latest Black Panther
Hey Sorry I haven’t been here for a while but thank you for taking my black panther suggestion.
“You know I’m a toe bro” 👀👀
Honestly, Dr Strange is a great figure, in my top 10 of 2022 for sure.
But I disagree it should be top, and the one thing stopping it is its billed as a "deluxe" figure, which I disagree with. I was lucky to get my Strange 2nd hand for £16, minus the Blue Mage head as there was no way I was paying the £26 - £31 stores were asking for. He should have been part of a wave standard and those accessories should have been standard too.
Nice Marvel Jacket
The only people that say AM 15 spidey is the best are those who didn't get/couldn't afford the RYV spidey.
Found the lizard at Wal-Mart for $20
ASM #15 you say it has the underarm webs and it IS shown in the (3D rendering) picture on the box but does the figure have it? I can’t tell but doesn’t look like it does…
I hope we get a normal curt conners.
:o No classic 80s Baron Zemo on your list?
i was wondering if i should hunt down lizard and strange even though they aint the easiest to get for a nice price these days but seems like i might have to right?
Bold of you to assume that 25 Legends figures from last year were actually good. I've completely fallen out of love for the line after handling many figures that don't have things like butterfly joints or extra hands. I'm much happier paying for another companies product knowing I'll get those things, it's also nice to not support Hasbro and their shitty practces
lol the 25 least bad! :)
Thank you, good sir
I call it now Dave when x men 97 comes out maggot will be in it and Dave will be making a wishlist episode who needs pick up and maggot will be on there and of course I will watch that video he makes 😂😂 love your content
Oh man that might be one of my the longest comments. XD Sorry
GREAT top I agree. If that's YOUR not objective top It's perfectly fine. Some of these are in mine too.
This year has been amazing for ML and I'm happy with how it turned out. There were disappointments, of course, but there's no point in focusing on that. There are still figures that I would like to get to the top but they were not that perfect and didn't have big attachment:
2pack ock. he looks almost perfect but maaaaaaan tentacles are pain in the butt XD
Black Panther it's not my favorite design because of grey gloves and boots but he is fine
Knull really good but don't have big attachment
And now my top 15 I guess.
Pins don't bother me. he has all the hands. and it's a good figure. simply
Fists, open hands, frogs XD and interchangeable heads one with a sneering smile and the other great with a tongue
But still a very nice figure and I had a lot of fun with it
9.20th Captain America. And also these old-school bases and cards which for me really nicely improve the presentation of figures and this applies to everyone: Hulk, Iron man and Toad
8. Retro Shocker. And it's a character that definitely has an interesting design. And actually the only drawback are those old effects that even do their job but could be better. I thought I would be bothered by the fact that the nets are not painted, but I like it better that way, so more realistic. and the accessories, sculpting, articulation and overall look of the figure I like it
XD
As someone who has quit Hasbro Marvel Legends entirely, Dave is my only ML interactions lol
I’ll buy em so you don’t have to!
I agree with Dr strange being #1
So many re-releases. I ain't mad about it but a lot of them look so good i end up leaving the re-release NIB
Hubiera sido aún más genial que Doctor Strange incluyera algún libro de los de Doctor Doom, el libro de Vishanti o el Darkhold.
Those would have been fun accessories
DMB: RYV Spiderman is #2, proceeds to swap Ben Reilly head for display 🕷️😆😏🍻
Because it’s the best head
You had made a video at some point where you praised the Peacemaker show without spoilers, so you might get some good views if you made a video about The Last Of Us show where you praise it and what you like about it without spoilers as well, while it is new and trending!
Yeah I think I might start giving more TV coverage!
I'm probably gonna keep commenting but are you gonna do a worst of MLs 2022? I kinda hope not I personally wouldn't watch it, not into the negative vibe
Edit: I mean obvs critique is always valid but I think a video of you just constantly scolding wouldn't be v fun 😭
I will do. The worst lists are often the most watched videos of the year.
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Looking forward to it, I love those, and they're much less frequent than best of lists.

Ik he did not say renew your vows is better than amazing fantasy 🤨
Why include figures you don't really like? This is your list! I already know what the internet likes, I'm here to hear your take!
I like them, I just don’t own them
Hey Dave that magot is he pinless
No I don’t think so
I'ma say we both right he's got pinless arms but not pinless legs I just went and looked
Yeah man that moonlight was my figure of the year and you know me I don't collect marvel lol
No Baron Zeno?
I really like him but he’s quite basic and his belt limits and an crunch.
Understandable 👍
Very funny dave. This must be your joke list, because spiral isn’t on it.
Can’t wait for the real list!
I genuinely forgot!
I don't agree. Out of your curious list I think moon knight is the best 👌
Hmmm curious
🎉🎉🎉
Great stuff , where’s Ben reilly 😂
I love him but ultimately he’s just a repaint and those pins man!
Moonkight sorry dang talk to text lol
If you want to sell your DD, I’m your man!
Already gone bro!
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Damn. I only have 5…
legends team has no love for hulk
Numnber 23
"so take off your pan-
Quake/Mariah hill was lazy.
Dave...that spiderman is awful. He looks botched together with incompatible pieces. Head is good, rest is lunacy
I disagree but to each his own. I hope they do a definitive one you like.
That huge neck gap in renew your vows will be super embarrassing in about 2 years. Saying it was the 2nd best of the year will also age poorly.
I have waaaay more things to be embarrassed about than that!
I'm leaving a version of the comments I left under the live stream in case other people might not get to see them but might agree and also benefit from anything I've written in those, as it might not be available for them to see after a while:

Since you might be trying to get more fit again for your new work in Japan and all the things you'll be doing now, it may be a good opportunity to start making videos showcasing that and including little tips here and there, as many of us would like to become motivated and more fit again too after some years under the lockdown mentality and conditions which might have led to deteriorating health and becoming lax about some healthier habits and daily activities and routines, it would be good for everyone, despite any objections from people (or trolls disguised as people).
You may also want to make a video that has people come up and have the opportunity to talk to you live before you leave,
and maybe also do some sort of meet up like when people would meet you at the local conventions or whatever, so that the people who might like to see you locally can visit you and talk to you personally before you go further away to Japan.

Oh yeah, I was happy to discover Matt Berry made a second season of Toast with Toast of Tinseltown which I saw tonight and which might be enjoyable for anyone reading this to check out, and also I'm enjoying Year of the Rabbit, also starring Matt Berry which has an actor I think is really outstanding in everything he does named Paul Kaye, who always seems to really give his all in performances and stands out as the best actor always in my view anyway.
Check out this clip on TH-cam, it is so entertaining and good and it is just a dance number but it is beautiful and cool and seemingly clearly following very carefully designed drawings and ideas, it is a 9 minute video that would've been really awesome in a James Bond movie or something, and the cinematography is so nice, the women look really nice, everything about it is entertaining and stimulating without much even going on, compared to modern stuff which seems so dull and deadening and like stretching time, also like some TH-cam videos in the boring essay style: "Sweet Charity 1969: The Aloof, The Heavyweight, The Big Finish (HQ) Bob Fosse"
I'd put a link but I don't want TH-cam to remove the comment.
