Hey Chris, thanks for posting these videos, they sure help to break the monotony of lockdown here in Scotland. Any time I remove adhesive residue, I feel Zippo lighter fluid works very well for me. It breaks down the adhesive without damaging paint.
Around 30 years ago, my parents bought an old ambulance complete with all of the decals still in tact. They took it to a family gathering and had about 12 members of the family descend upon the hapless ambulance with rags and cans of starting fluid. We managed to get all of the decals off and also subsequently destroyed copious amounts of brain cells!! 😂
Hey Chris, great video, you could use goof off wipes, also I use a steamer to remove window tint and it got the glue pretty good. Would probably work on paint also.
thanks a lot!!! I had put electrical tape around the headlights of my car - per instructions from restoration kit - but adhesive remained when I removed the tape. I just used vegetable oil per your comment and the tape came off easily with slight pressure on a kitchen towel. yea!!
Car was sitting in the sun @ 25C, Took a spray car of olive oil to the adhesive. Starting dissolving away immediately on the thin strips. Allowed it to sit for a minute or 2, started washing/rubbing it off with a microfibre cloth. Thin adhesive came of with a rub, thick had to move work , and added spray oil to the cloth. Off it all came.
Good day to you my friend. This is your friend Ted from Texas. Two things that I used it seem to work was carburetor cleaner and alcohol. Multiple applications of both seem to work pretty good. I used rubbing alcohol and just continuously rub it on and it seemed to take it off. Carburetor cleaner seem to work as well. You may want to give them a shout I mean they shot let's see how well you do with that. Neither one hurt the paint but I did wash and clean the surface when I was done to get all of the alcohol off. Stay safe my friend see you in the next video.
Goo gone and l apply a little heat from a hair dryer to the more stubborn stickers. I use an ice scraper--a plastic one of course. It's easier on the hand than using a credit card. Do a video please on your 'new' Durango.
There is a product called Glue Begone. If you can find it. It does work. The last time I bought it. I got a bottle at Newberry's where I live. And that was many years ago. Awesome video thanks for sharing.

Wood Furniture polish like pledge does a good job too for sticky labels.

3M rubber erase wheel. Attaches to a drill and takes off stickers, pinstripes, etc. Available in any auto parts store.
I bought a rubber wheel for my drill, it took off the adhesive off from a piece of trim in no time! Enjoy all your videos!
I enjoyed this too much. Love that you tried things that everyone has in their homes. Great video!
3m adhesive remover is worth it... saves alot of time... looks good..
What a great video. The gentleman giving the presentation from East Coast Classics was awesome. Thank you very much !

Good tip Kevin, thanks. How's the COPART car coming along?
I have a label and adhesive remover from turtle wax it was $5 at Walmart it sprays on let it sit and it will literally wipe off
I had some walnut oil in the cabinet and it worked as well, thanks alot for this tutorial
Hi Chris, thanks for this video, now i don't have to do trial and error, i know the right substance to get those mess off.
cooking oil and napkins has always ALWAYS worked for me.

Alcohol hasn't failed me yet. I generally will wax the area after I'm done. Alcohol works great on the windows too.
most adhesives are either oil based or alcohol based. try rubbing alcohol on a rag if WD40 is not working.
I use a power washer to remove some of the residue. I found that it would remove 70% of the residue and the rest I would use some goo gone.
Rubbing alcohol works pretty good, the higher percent the better. You will need to apply it often if the residue is heavy.
Great tip Pat, thanks! I'll give that a try next time!
interesting, the olive oil part

Good experiment. I’ve found that kerosene works well too.
Wd40 is mostly kerosene
What about Goo Gone? Isnt that what its literally designed for?
I think I've used that few times on stuff like this and it okay.
Get some GOO GONE any auto parts store. I use it for my registration sticker and for those stickers they put on your window for illegal parking.
Haha thats exactly what I've used it for too!
Good gone or Goof off works best. You can even buy the knock off brand at the dollar store. Works amazing

Lacquer thinner a plastic razor blade, and nappy cotton cloth.
Goof off for larger areas (spray on - wipes off)or lacquer thinner(must be original paint) for smaller areas.
Enjoyed the video as always
Glad you enjoyed and thanks man!
The key is to let the oil sit a long time. Less elbow work.
Great video 👍
Mayonnaise works a treat tastes good too while you work lol.
I have found that Kerosene works better than anything
What about turpentine?

Great video. Goo gone or wd-40 seem to work best.
I never had good luck with WD-40 - and it stains white paint (in my experience). I did a video years ago with what I use and it comes right off easily
Curious to see how Goo Be Gone would have worked. Cool video
It doesn't work.
Lighter fluid
You're legend cheers bro
3m rubber wheel is the best just put it on the drill and done in no time
Id eat the peanut butter😂
Avon skin so soft removes sticker glue
parafine oil is a perfect product for the job,😀🤘
Nice
Try Turpentine and then alcohol for the final removal
Hey man thanks for the tip about using turpentine and alcohol to get those stickers off the paint of the Durango. I'll definitely try that next time.
Remember to dab it on relatively thick and then after about 30 seconds use your plastic scraper to remove the glue
Goo Gone works well too. (good for driveway grease-oil spots).
Just use goo gone or goof off and call it a day
PB+WD+EVOO Sangwich.
Order up!
Try some awesome that normally works for everything
I've heard that using a hair dryer is the best way to remove a sticker as it loosens the adhesive.
Gasoline works extremely well, much better than those 3 methods. Will take that entire large sticker off in a matter of minutes. Give it a try!
Gasoline has always worked great for me.
Have you tried using jelly with that peanut butter ?
hi to you it great now stay safe down by you
i found a blow torch gets it off much faster than any other alternative
W-40 is not that great.
Goo Gone is #1
If that Durango is for sale, can offer cash, and I live very close too you for easy pick up. Let me know, in a pinch for a good vehicle.
You forgot the jelly.
Why would you scrape
3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel
