- Admitting, I was more excited about the design when the 8th generation 911 was introduced. Switching from the Manual 991.2 GT3 to a 992 Carrera S was not about performance. But I was in for a surprise.

Agreed. I'll be hunting a 992 as soon as used C2 MTs start to come around. Nick, I know there's a non-lemon 911 out there for you...just have to keep looking. BTW, the brakes on my '18 C2 were fade free at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this past weekend, with a brake system flush/fluid upgrade (stock pads). Car made me feel like a hero (my first Porshe). Tons of P cars, and other incredible exotics, from across the country there. Don't mind Pedro...he probably drives a Hyundai, with a side of green envy... ;) This is P. McCann in Houston...looking forward to your next update.

Nick, I am privileged receiving your comment and yes the 992 is pretty. How is the repair of you 991.2 C4s doing, have they found a solution?
What makes that 992 stand out are the aluminium side window surrounds. It transforms the look of the car and really emphasises the 911 shape from the side.

disagree completely. The 992 is a step down in many ways. I think Janko is trying to convince himself that's not the case. You shouldn't have to try.

I'm on the fence with a '23 992 S order alication. .. The S coupe chioce only for the maual gearbox and rear axle steer; Which PAG omitts in the 992 base coupe.
The 992- 911- are a work of art ... The passion this guy has for car. I like ..

I’m absolutely speechless. Once again blown by your quality of work. And as a Porsche enthusiast who currently owns a 991.2 C2S, I was hesitant in upgrading, as I just needed more answers. And you seem to have provided them. The only question that remains now is what sounds better since the particulate filters wont be fitted as there are different standards.
Where are you from? If I understand it correctly, they will not fit the Particulate filter where you live?

Immediate love at first sight both exterior and interior on this car. LOVE rear of the car. Love the black steering wheel and in-dash display. Love the piano black center console with flippy buttons and shaver. Gauges are awesome.

sorry to say this but I like the 991.2 a little better. I think Porsche is taking a luxury Angle now.
I haven't seen a 992 in person, but I am leaning towards the 992 front end and the 991.2 rear.
WheresTheAnyKey1 yeah I'm getting ready to purchase my first Porsche I was going to get the 992 or the 991.2 but I'm thinking about going with a 991.1 gt3 what do you think I should do?
@@mrlong4152 I too would go with the GT3, you could probably drive it for a while (not too old of a car right now) and then experience the 992 (say, a GTS) if you'd like before you jump into a 992 GT3. For me, I'm waiting on a 991.2 GTS in a few years. Nice sweet spot between performance and comfort.
WheresTheAnyKey1 that's what I wanted to get was a 991.2 GT3 but where I live they don't have any available right now. but they have a really great deal on a 991.1 for 140k with only 1200 miles I don't know if I can pass up on that.
Some people have been saying that since the 997. Nothing new here.

One of the best reviews of 992. Now I’m really in love. Will wait for GTS manual....had both 997 and 991. Loved them both. Porsche is amazing at making their cars even better every generation. Too bad prices are following this outrageous trend on pseudo super cars.

From the outside yes, the particulate filter is the problem.
Yeah! But there is a sport exhaust extra for the 992 (a must have i think)
@@Felipe-pb9gu only aftermarket exaust would help, the exhaust filter muffles the noise on both regular and sport exhaust

Klaus H. It really is. The chrome trim is ace on it, it makes it look like an Aston Martin but it’s a Porsche!! I took delivery of my all black Cayenne last week and took the opportunity to sit in a 992. Awesome.

🤔 not sure all modern cars today is quite good in winter ❄️ time. I like the rear wheel drive displacement and for that reason I would go for a C2. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
I have the 992 C4S with winter tires. It works so very, very, very well in rain, snow, ice, dry, cold and warm weather. This car is phenomenal! But please, Porsche, don’t make them any larger. Please?
Another class review, with honest comparisons. Love the return of those classic Porsche lines on front fenders. Jury is still out on rear styling cues, for me. Looking forward to your "summer tires" feature.

You should have get the Sport Design package of the 992. The standard's license plate sits too low it made the back of the car look fat.

i am debating purchasing a new 991.2 2018 carrera s that is on a dealers lot... however i am intrigued by your comment that the cabin is quieter on the 992... is it appreciably quieter? would tires have accounted for some of the difference? as much as i love the 911s i have found the cabin noise a little high only on long distance drives, which is something i would like to keep to a minimum, for a porsche anyway
Save your money and get a 991.2 they're unbelievable. Got a 2017 Carerra pretty much fully loaded, porsche sport exhaust, sports chrono package, etc. Has 5,800 miles on it. CPO car with 4 years of warranty left. Original msrp was $114,500. Picked it up for $84,500.
@@justinburitica5616 cool thx for the message.... i am 99% for sure gonna go with the 991.2... mine has sports pack, chrono, ras, pasm, led lights, metallic black on black interior, black rims, blacked headlights and tail light... such a sick machine
@@joeblow502 sounds like a no brainer! The upgrade from the 991.1 to the 991.2 was actually worth it because of the hp/torque gains, interior redesign and all the kinks of the car being worked out. With the 992 you're just getting a rear end redesign and new interior. Not really worth the extra $20k-$30k.

Joe, If you would like to have a more comfortable 911 experience there is only ONE, the 911 TURBO. It is a huge difference between the Turbo and all the rest in the 911 range. Not sure about the prices where you live but in Sweden, it's not much more money to add for a 991.1 Turbo. When it comes to the 992, it is less noise, no questions about it but still it is a long way left to reach the 911 Turbo. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
