  • I wanted to take a ride today but the weather wasn't cooperating. Decided to do a video on why we're not going to get a 2024 Harley Davidson touring motorcycle as of yet.

    New Sub, enjoyed checking out your channel. Im very happy with my 2024 Street Glide. This bike rides butter smooth and perfect for touring. No issues with the bike at all and due to all the changes Harley made, my only mod will be a taller windshield. Stock suspension is perfect for me, seat is comfortable, new lighting is cool, and love the 117 with the different ride modes. Im not tech-savvy at all and found the new infotainment system easy to use, love having carplay and the digital display is so easy to read. Liquid cooled heads are a game changer, when riding in the lower southern states heat. RDRS is worth every dime. Could'nt be happier. I like the Ultra as well but did'nt want the addtional weight. I have a tour pack that fits my 2024 Street Glide from a former Harley I owned for 2 up riding but my wife is comfortable of the stock street glide, so the tour pack sits in the garage. Great deal on the bike in the US. Sorry this is so long.

      That's awesome!!! Hope you don't mind I subbed back. I did take a demo ride when we were down in Daytona, I absolutely love the new Street Glide. When I went in to look at one I did everything not to put money down...haha. it was a little tough riding it as I took my wife and the demo one didn't have a backrest, she doesn't need much but she does need something, so I wasn't able to fully test the bike out. I think you made a great purchase and I'm team SG all the way! So the tour pack from previous models will fit the new bike, that's really good to know!!!

      @@streetsean Thanks for the reply. I dont really have any content on my channel, Im not a TH-camr but spend way to much time watching TH-cam lol. My 2024 Street Glide docking hardware works with my previous sissy bar and luggage rack from my 2021 Street Glide as well. I purchased a chopped tour pack with back rest and mounting rack for less than $500.00. Quality is great and a perfect fit. I like black bikes because you dont have to spend extra for color matched accessories. Watched a lot of your videos today, great content keep up the good work. If you buy an older Street Glide, in my opinion get the Special that has RDRS upgrade, its worth the extra cost.

      That's good to know. The 2 places I'm looking at bikes both said to go with black when getting a used bike for that exact reason. I didn't want black when I go my bike as I didn't want the same as everyone, but now most of the things I add are black...can't have it all.
      And who knows, I'll be first in line if you do post something! And I'm not a youtuber, I just like posting stuff, gives me more time thinking about bikes...haha

    It will be a little while before we get the used bike as well. But hopefully sooner rather than later...🤞

    I'm not gonna get one either. There's nothing wrong with my 02 RK. LoL🇺🇸😎

    The Ultra is a better deal, late model, low mileage, twin cams even better 👍🏽👍🏽

      Yes, that's what I'm thinking as well!

    I don't trust the new bikes to be well made or user-serviceable. Price doesn't always equal quality. I'll stick with an older bike that won't be obsolete as fast as the tech on these new ones.

    • @streetsean
      @streetsean  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I tend to agree with you. I've had no issues with my 18 Sport glide, but that has zero tech. I'll give it a few years before jumping into the new tech stuff.

    I don't trust the electrics either. Way too complicated, and even if you get a good one something will eventually fail. I prefer the road king, but harley stopped making most of them. ugh!

    • @streetsean
      @streetsean  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The road king is a great bike, I just think I want the fairing now for long trips. A lot of people go with a road king, I'm surprised they got rid of all the different models.

    • @jacklowe9017
      @jacklowe9017 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've owned them all. The wind protection on a road king is often better than the others because people tend to chop the windshield. The new ones come chopped off by the factory. My old road glide had a lot of air coming through the fairing... which on a hot day wasn't necesarily bad.

    • @streetsean
      @streetsean  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jacklowe9017 Hmmm...I never thought about the road king as an option because the road king I like doesn't have the wind screen. I always liked the RK special, just a great looking bike.
