My, these people are very confused and miss the mark totally!
Skip this video, it is at the best a total waste of your time. At worst, you will go away thinking the Islam religion is as other religions and not understand that Islam destroys other religions - by deception and extreme violence.

      Islam promotes tolerance
      (Sahih International)
Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
      -Surah Al-Mumtahanah, verse 8
      Islam promotes kindness
      ۚإِنَّ رَحۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good.
      -Surah Al-A'raf, verse 56
NOT EVERY MUSLIM IMPLEMENT ISLAM PROPERLY. Terrorist who tell they are muslim don't implement islam properly. To have better understanding about Islam please take closer look at quran and hadith. People can't simply conclude that Islam is cruel , agressive etc just by looking dozens of quran verses or hadith or by looking terrorist action. *Those are more than 6000 quran verses and more than 500000 hadith* . *If you want to know better about Islam, please learn all of those quran verses and hadith carefully. USE* *OBJECTIVE THINKING, NOT HATE.* This may take many years. Thanks

An Islamist government only has to win once to stay in power .... look at Iran. I lost hope after Egyptians voted in the Muslim Brotherhood. Only after a river of blood akin to the 30 Years War will Islam see profound change. Hopefully we can keep the violence mostly out of Europe.

I agree it's going to take a lot of violence, failed experiments, and decades before we see a govt in the ME that resembles the socially conservative political parties in the West.

Real History The world runs on oil. Iran is allied with Russia, the UK and US have no choice but to ally with the Sauds [or invade and take over]. To reject the alliance with the Sauds would risk economic hardship for the West. This is changing slowly, the US is exploiting it's own oil reserves, oil is cheaper and more sources are being found. A Kurdish state would also help as that would create another alternative oil source, but it would not be enough.
If Iran and the US hadn't fallen out decades ago things might have been ok. Russia has it's own deep resources of energy. Iran would have been a reliable alternative for Europe, giving the West the option of pressuring the Sauds.
Wars in the Middle East are not the Wests fault. Sunni and Shia, competing caliphates have been fighting there for centuries ...you know this. The guns [...and planes] the UK sells to the Sauds are not turned on Europeans, but I see the Wahabbi danger. After Brexit that does not pose an existential threat to the UK, maybe to Germany, France in 2-3 generations time. Where are you in the sub-continent?

Your analysis is orientalist to the core, first, it's true that Iran is inflating sectarianism in countries where there's a diverse social fabric, however, it isn't traceable to the ancient wars or, to the intention to establish a caliphate. In fact, the AKP in Turkey which is a Sunni Islamist party has good relations with the Iranian government, the Sudanese Islamist party that took power through a military coup in 1989 had good relations with Iran until 1998 as well, and the Saudis who're Sunnis are opposed to the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Arab Spring in general. Many wars in the Middle East are the west's fault, in fact, the west invaded many middle eastern countries, and has troops and military bases, and orchestrated several military coups, and aided the overthrow of different democratically elected governments. Am not for blaming the west for everything, on the other hand, am against pro-western governments trying to whitewash the west's record in the Middle East. What I think the west should do is to support the progressives and nationalist democratic forces in the Middle East that they've been opposed to since the 60s, they can aid Tunis in its economic recession, they can support the liberals and socialists in Lebanon who're opposing the Christian-Druze-Muslim sectarian elites, the US should refrain from aiding the expanding military deep state in Egypt, the French could pressure the corrupt King in Morocco to carry out reforms, and the corrupt FLN in Algeria as well. Commenting on the proposed Kurdish state, you should know also that the Kurdish elites led by Barazani are a bunch of corrupt US collaborators, and the overwhelming majority of democrats in Iraq and Syria are for unity, as an ethno based state as a solution had already failed in South Sudan.
There's no alternative to the pro-democracy forces in the Middle East.
The Islamists are a part of the social fabric and the political establishment in the Middle East has to accept them and include them, only if they would agree to the rules of disagreement -which they did- in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco!

To teach you about political Islam no one better than Robert Spencer. Then all the others, Jay Smith, David Wood, Sam Harris, Jamie Glassov, Wafa Sultan, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel, Sarah Heider, Nonie Darwish, Clare Lopez, Annie Cyrus, Raymond Ibrahim, Frank Gaffney, Pamela Geller, Carl Goldberg, Brother Rashid, and many others including even Usama Dakdok!! Check any of these names right here on TH-cam, and you will learn a heck of a lot more than this waste-of-time of a video.
