  • The Hoover Institution hosted "The Challenge of Dawa: Political Islam as Ideology and Movement, and How to Counter It" on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm EST.
Since 9/11, the dominant Western response to radical Islam has been to focus only on “terror” and “violent extremism,” but in focusing only on acts of violence, we have ignored the ideology that justifies and encourages those acts. The goal of Islamist ideological indoctrination--dawa--is to establish an unfree society ruled by strict Sharia law. U.S. foreign and domestic policy must oppose and systematically tackle this ideology, not just its violent manifestations.
Hoover Institution Research Fellow Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Hudson Institute Distinguished Fellow Christopher DeMuth discussed Ayaan's new report on specific policies that Congress and the administration must implement to dismantle the infrastructure of dawa in the United States and to counter the spread of political Islam.

The psychological aspects of the problem:
"We are the pure & chosen few,
And all the rest are dammed.
There's room enough in hell for you,
    We don't want heaven crammed."

Good discussion. I find the following also interesting: Religion is true to the masses, false to the wise and useful to the rulers.

There are a lot of contradictions in this discussion! What she's saying that you can be a muslim but do not impose yourself in politics! just be in the below class as the muslims were in Mecca. Defining the Medina period as a violent is not correct. It was the way to establish a political existence in Medina and that's it. Prophet Mohammad lived 13 years in Mecca where he defined a major theme for Islam. In Medina he lived 10 years started to establish a law system that define how a muslim community should be. By the way, wars constitute only 7% of the prophet's life. It's so stupid to say follow the Meccan prophet and ignore the Medina Prophet, it's like "be a muslim but don't be political and just watch your God and that's it. Finally, I RESPECT you ALL. it's just a comment.

Mohammad AlGhadhouri Mohammed cannot be a prophet he was more like badgdadhi, in Syria I fact Baghdadi copies Mohamed to the minutest detail. So in short he was a terrorist not a prophet .

Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Ask Him to reveal his will for your life then you will find true freedom through faith in Christ.
