  • Tell me. What is more delightful?
Taking the first trip in a stock Model B pickup or visiting an epic swap meet?
    Why not do both!
Hemmings’ Dan Stoner joins Junior Nevison as they reap the benefits of reviving the 1932 Ford Model B pickup from a museum relic to a reliable ride.
Of course, there’s the mechanical brakes that suggest they’ll slow down the ol’ farm truck and a tractor-trailer mowing down a street sign, but that’s all part of the experience we’re sharing in this episode. Plus, the duo share the results of the viewer survey of what’s coming next for this pickup.
Hemmings is the ultimate destination for finding your perfect ride. Head to Hemmings.com to register and start your search today or download our Hemmings marketplace app for Apple and Android devices.

That shifter bike would have been hard to turn down. Either you had one, or you wanted one. Looking forward to watching the progress on the truck, thanks for taking us along ~ Chuck

Can't get enough of tooling around in antique cars. Driving our 68 impala or 77 c10 is easy compared to your adventures. Love it!

I live just a little south of you guys. And I too am rescuing a 1933 Ford pickup from a Long 54 year nap. It was my father inlaws put in his barn somewhere around 1969. It has a 1956 corvette 265 v8. I am getting ready to put it back on the road in a few weeks. Nice 32👍👍

What kind of work do you have planned for it?

@@hemmingsmotornews I've had to rebuild the motor ( it was frozen) redid the hydraulic clutch and brakes, buying new tires. That's it I'm trying to keep the barn find look. I even made sure the machine shop didn't remove the original paint on the engine. Not even going to clean the dirt off the outside 🤣

Hey Guys, hello from Australia, I love this pickup, it's super kool!! Don't Restore it just fix any damage on it, like buy new rear fenders and get someone to match the Patina, keep the mechanical brakes and get them working like new it should be able to lock up all 4 wheels no problem. As for the engine either hot up the Banger or maybe put an early 21stud v8 in it , like they had from the factory. Whatever you do, don't chop it up!!! Even lowering it would be cool , at least you wouldn't have to destroy it. I have one exactly the same except it is black, I bought it from Chicago and it had no engine but I found an early 21stud with the early alloy sump etc.. keep these video coming guys , Awesome!!!

If your going to the Brimfield flea market what better to do it. The mechanical brakes were usable when every one else had them but not when your the only one.

Stoner...where have you been??? How's the rat rod?

Come on! The vote was to keep it stock. So you will...with juice brakes and a SUPERCHARGER!!?? Sure, hide an electronic ignition in there and give it some LED lights to see with, but if you don't know how to properly set up mechanical brakes to be just as good as unassisted juice brakes you should get out of the business (said the Model A guy).

Harsh but true. Didn't Henry Ford say "Feel the Steel from the Heal to the Wheel" he didn't want to go to hydraulics. Mechanicals work fine when serviced properly

That's because it's easier to chop something up And go modern then it is to actually put the time and work into something to keep it original..... That's BS that the vote was to keep it stock and they're still gonna chop it off so what was the point of the vote.... Just for publicity.....
