Fun fact elementsabers can be used for chaos decks, since you can change them to light or dark, so he can in fact summon bls.

How did Alec... no, scratch that... How did NO-ONE at the table realize that you could convert that Elementsaber to light attribute in the graveyard and banish it to summon BLS? You had a whole conversation about what it does!
To be fair, it was never in the grave with a Dark monster.

I can't believe Alec called the elementsaber monster useless. It's effect while in the GY is useful for his deck. All he need is that dark monster and the elementsaber monster and he can summon BLS. All he have to do is change the elementsaber to be a light monster and boom he has BLS on the field lol. He should know that every card has its value.

I played element sabers they are fantastic when they pop off the problem is they are just too slow for the modern day pacing of the game.

I'd love to see a video where two APS members build decks from random bulk and two other members have to duel with them without previous knowledge of what cards are in it.
I'd like to add an extra wrinkle where each APS deckbuilder is actually trying to make the best deck they possibly can, either because the winner gets a reward, or because the loser gets a punishment. But the player themselves is off the hook, so it's ENTIRELY up to the builder.

I love that from a perspective standpoint, you think you are getting a whole cube of cards with the pictures being interesting(if you don’t read the cube). Then you open the cube revealing it’s basically a bag of chips with it being mostly air lol
At least with chips there is a reason for the air.
Chips have more use, and are cheaper lol.

some cards are in Portuguese, attack of two edges, "dois" not "dios", "dois" means two, which in general means "attack of two edges" but the original name is Two-Pronged Attack

Same except for my family dollar selling 19 English cards, 1 Spanish, and 1rare and usually has a somewhat strategy

This was a super fun video! I loved the buttoned-down aspect of the last battle especially. The camaraderie between Alec and Larry was hysterical.
those oversized plastic sleeves are usually used for stuff like baseball cards. some ppl use them for shipping cards sold on online market platforms like cardmarket in the EU. Some of my MTG orders came in these.
Have you all considered making your own "cubes"? Pick/curate monsters/Spells/Traps/Etc... Then split them into piles. Dole out a set amount from each pile for people to build from. We do similar things in MTG for drafting where players essentially build their own "set" and then draft it with friends after randomly creating "packs" of cards to use.

Dois = Two / double in that case.

I remember a cube that had a deck in it, but it was from Target. Right know they have a Walmart version for about $30 online. But Paul read the box it will tell you if it has a deck or not.

5:35 - personally, I use them for my Commander decks. I tend to get the nicest version of my commander that I can, so I put the sleeved copy in a hard sleeve as an added bit of protection (and an easy divider in my long box of Commander decks).

I really love these duels. Sure, metta and archetypes are consistent but I love the creativity behind these random cards that you know will be bad. These, the ebay duels, the wamlart duels. All so great as well as the fake card duels. 10/10 for fun and creativity
This would be kind of cool if you bought one of these cubes, and then went to a LCS and see if you could build a deck with their bulk using the mystery cube as the core.

Larry was thinking about the mystery boxes rather than the power cubes. Those do actually sometimes have valuable booster packs and/or structure decks in them.
The power cubes normally have packs as well. No idea why these didn't.

This reminds me of the first magic deck I was ever handed to play. Not a single card was playable.
So the Two-Pronged Attack was in Portuguese. It actually says "Dois" not "Dios", which means "two" as you'd expect :P
If I'm not mistaken, Alec couldn't use the Chaos Sorcerer's effect because he was special summoned on the field while knightmare gryphon was on the field, and griffin says that you can't activate the effect of special summoned monsters unless they are linked.
I just imagine someone being late for their flight and forgetting their bag with their deck and having to go to Walmart to grab one of these before the tournament tomorrow and pray they can throw something together that doesn’t make them look stupid in front of everyone…now that I think about it, I can bet that happened.
If these cubes came with a random structure deck that would honestly be really cool. I remember buying one of these and I got a damaged card instead

I opened one of these and it had a pharaohs servant pack. So they're fun to buy sometimes when you're bored.
When Larry take that Black Hole in PT I just laugh so hard and thinking why the hell an north american Wallmart has cards in other languages. That aside, I felt very represented with these PT-BR cards, great video!

Question: Didnt that @ignister card when used as link material make the link monster it made unaffected by opponents card effects? If so dark hole wouldnt have worked

If you had activated Gatchiri @Ignister effect when you summoned Knightmare Gryphon, you could have made Gryphon unaffected by the opponent cards on the next turn, avoiding the Dark Hole

I wish my Walmart would have Power Cubes... Nowhere in my area sells Yugioh cards anymore. My Books-a-Million, Target, 2 Gamestops, and 2 Walmarts no longer sell anything. I might get lucky at my Mall's FYE, but last time I went there it was only the scam packs.

You should have another Duel with 2022's Mystery Box with thier Structure Deck and also packs or also possibly from Yugioh Mystery Box 8 for a future Team APS TH-cam Channel Video As well too!
It might be cool to buy a few of these boxes and pool the cards to do a deck draft between you guys

so at the 8:00 mark alec says that elementsaber monster is useless. if he wanted to summon bls or chaos sorc, he can change the elementsaber monster to light, get a dark in the gy..then voila! so its not that useless

Aside from being nice for storage, the only other reason I look at Power Cubes fondly is because I got my first Stardust Dragon from one. They're worse than the lottery but there's still a chance for some goodies.

I can’t believe that all three of them (possible 4 for whoever was in the background) missed the attribute change card in Alec’s deck.
I have an idea for some videos and I would love to see it
Have a series of duels with dark magician deck vs blue eyes deck and or red eyes deck and start it with the original Cards like back maybe around the time dark magician girl was released then another duel for each time each deck got extra support like a rematch with upgraded decks
Also I would add a rule that you can only use cards that were available at the time of the current decks support release and you must centre the deck around the boss monster and its support I hope you understand what I mean 😅
You could possibly do the same thing with other types of decks if they have had enough consistent support released like these ones have
