Maybe try a video having trell and larry building a deck and have alec and paul dueling without knowing the deck, it could be fun to watch them realize the strategy mid duel
He's also been playing the longest with the least amount of breaks in the crew. His deck building is to win most of the time. The house speed duels were another good example of him just mopping the floor with everyone.
Honestly this is my favorite channel on TH-cam. I loved yugioh growing up but in high school I kinda lost interest but I would play old tag force games on emulators from time to time. This channel really got me back into yugioh and I’m just starting to build a deck to play at a local card shop tournament
@@BlessedVeteranAdventures its been like 12 years for me. The last deck I had was a lightsworn deck and I used to be good with it. I hope its still competitive XD and that the cards are cheap XD
I love that all you guys have different perspectives on yu gi oh. Really enjoy Trell’s top player and winner attitude but I also enjoy to hear Paul’s more casual takes and sense on the game Yu Gi Oh. Makes each video enjoyable since it features all of ya in ya respective content
trell is a very smart duelist, he definitely knows how to build a good deck. But Larries attempt at building a more modern combo deck was also good. I was kinda surprised how good it worked, but with that limited card pool building a more simple deck is the better strategy
I loved the video, and also the design for the scoreboards was great. Camera angles were all awesome too, Trell talking so much to the camera about the game was helpful too.
I need this content in my life, I don’t even play yu-gi-oh, but this is what I love about TCGs, going through cards and playing cool decks that wouldn’t as the light of day in constructed play. I loved Loading Ready Run’s MTG version of this challenge, and this video definitely scratches the same itch
Just realized, this is the first time I've seen a pendulum played in a duel on this channel. As a dinosaur returning to the game I really appreciated the card explanations!
It'd be fun to see this challenge again but with a twist - like they have to draw from a hat of random modifiers like "Only Allowed to get Fire Attribute Monsters" or "Must Buy 3 booster packs from Power of the Elements" or "Budget extended by 5 dollars" etc etc.
Id love to watch another version of this. With $100 budget but $20-30 on singles and $70-80 on boosters. This is so both players can showcase their deck building skills while slightly relying on luck haha
The last set I played/bought was when the elemental heroes were a thing back in the day. It's crazy to see all those foils when you'd be super lucky to even get a basic rare back in the day.
I liked this challenge. It makes you think under pressure, which is something you have to do in big tournaments like YCSs, Nationals and regionals. Basically, this is good practice
This was a pretty fun duel! Nice interaction about what I expect from Master Duel when you have a friend, who likes you and respects your sanity, or just Duel Links on a daily basis. Very cool guys. XD Trell's face when the Swords came down after he just got through Scapegoat was priceless. The man summoned Danger and was like "No we are not getting stalled out! UNGA BUNGA FOREVER!!" Lmao I hope Larry respects that main character energy.
I love seeing videos where you open cards and draft a deck from the cards opened. Maybe you guys could do set battles to see which sets of cards builds a better deck? I'm new to the game and am excited to open the older sets that are being reprinted this year (nostalgic), but I don't really know about sets from 2-10 years ago.
Mad respect to Trell to just try and keep it simple, you can find not as good cards but can work compared to trying to find the absolute best and especially for a 100$ budget.
Just found your guys channel and enjoy it immensely, brings back great memories of dueling friends in the neighborhood. Maybe you guys should do a video where Trell and Larry open 1 Pack from each set ever released, build a deck and Duel with them.
It's actually possible to win this Challenge and be under budget. While they can't buy the Structure Deck's, they could get Specific Cards for the Engine....
@@mark1A100 I mean, it took me a little bit to get what I needed for my Branded Dark World (I was, however, taking my time doing it), but aside from the New Cards in the Structure, It costed me....maybe 20 bucks and change ( and the majority of that was the Branded stuff). It's not a difficult thing to do really and it would've been a fantastic Fusion Engine without going broke or over budget for ...
I started playing yu go oh after 15 years and now I’m 24 having. A last learning how to play can’t wait to pass it down. This channel is the best for the duel channnel
I always debated on coming back to YuGiOh but seeing how it’s played nowadays I decided not to. Watching your videos is satisfying for me to still see how the game is played without actually getting back into it and I feel like that’s enough for me.
9:13 recognized that card, i have Collectors Rare SolSolfachord Gracia, of course expecting you to have pulled the collectors rare here would be expecting too much
See that how you know people are not paying attention. Cuz shrink is effective until the end of the turn not jus one attack. So he lost both his beefy monsters. But play how ya play. 16:52 is where you can read the card text
Hey Paul! Just wanna suggest: next time you do this, do sealed only, and they can only buy ONE copy of each structure/starter deck... (and maybe 3 singles each, so a playset of something) That should make things intersting ;)
I wish they would do a dual academy for old players wanting to get back into the game. Like pay $1,000 for a week of yugioh classes taught by them. I wanna get back into the game and I understand all the new summoning mechanics, but with these long combos and so many card effects to mix and match I just get lost and confused and need help to catch up.
If you do this again, definitely buy ONE structure deck each, and then use packs to try to improve it. I would say you can buy singles, but that would make it too easy for the decks to be overpowered.
These challenges are a lot of fun. With the 25th Anniversary coming up, are you guys considering doing a similar thing with the old school sets they are re-releasing? That'd be some classic Yu-Gi-Oh! I am considering doing it myself if I can get enough of my friends in. Trade cards on the kitchen table for maximum nostalgia effect. lol
I would like to see a mini series of tag duels. The deck building is done pauper style, $50 budget. Switching partners between Alec, Paul, Trell, and Larry. That way we get team rare hunters vs team yugi cosplay Walmart trip.
I loved the video guys, it was super funny but there's something wrong that happened during the second duel, Larry used book of eclipse and the token was not effected by it and unfortunately for Trell tokens are effected by it cause instead of being flipped face down they simply leave the field. I didn't do it just to be the boring guy I thought it was a good act. As always I'll keep following you guys cause this is the best Yu-Gi-Oh channel ever
Really great video. Guys idk if you read comments but you guys bring back my childhood. I love watching you videos and your rare hunter series is amazing. Please continue making content because I love your entire group everyone is funny and just awesome to watch

I like this idea!!!
Yea this is a great idea
Sounds like a fun thing to do!
Please do this idea, it would make a great video and be funny
Yeah that would be funny
Lmao!
Larry: “How many alexandrite dragons do you have?”
Trell: “yes”
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
LV4 Monsters with 2000 ATK never used to come this cheap cheap cheap
I love this pair, they're such similar type of personalities but just different speeds lol.
*We had a lot of fun with this challenge, so hopefully you guys did, too! Maybe next time we'll do Singles Only? Or maybe Sealed Only...?* 🤔

Lover the idea. One thing I’d love is like a timer in the corner to show how crunched they are. Keep it up
Deez nuts
@@baconboy1547 Good idea! I'm always a fan of a little extra tension. 😈
@@TeamAPS shout out plz ?
15:55 I like the way Trell explained it. Thank you. Keep doing that!
Thanks, will do!
Trell is a beast duelist, idk if I’ve ever seen him lose in these videos
He places top 8 in tournaments often enough. So his game knowledge has to be high so as to know what he'll be facing.
He's also been playing the longest with the least amount of breaks in the crew. His deck building is to win most of the time. The house speed duels were another good example of him just mopping the floor with everyone.
Larry: *Weird Pendulum shit*
Trell: *Dark Hole.* *Big Stick.* *_Swing._*

Yeahhhh. Within the constraints of the given rules and very limited resources- unga bunga is always going to be the way to go.
I respect the gigachad move of just beating face with Alexandrite Dragon in 2023
Gigachad, more like Giga pathetic playing a vanilla garbage monster in 2023

Yeah, I think a cap on how much you can spend on singles would make it a lot more balanced. Force Trell to open more packs!
Even though this ended up exactly how I thought it would, still very entertaining. Trell is a deck building master!
The last set I played/bought was when the elemental heroes were a thing back in the day. It's crazy to see all those foils when you'd be super lucky to even get a basic rare back in the day.
Thx for entertaining us all with ur amazing vids❤
Trell's strategy: Episode 1 Seto Kaiba.

The water duelist pack was 100% the way to go. Nearly all the Marincess stuff is common and you could've EASILY built a kickass deck with $100
This is just unfair, Larry is the MASTER of buying sealed Yu-Gi-Oh product.
Love Yu-Gi-Oh and your vids! 😁
