    When you compare the technology, tune-ability and speed of the Elite it’s really a standout product. I shoot Mathews but the new elites are top shelf IMO

    Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine th-cam.com/users/postUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older.But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

    Great comparison video, I started laughing when the video started cause AJ is the guy I take my bows to for everything!! He is a top notch bow tech.

    90% of the technology on all compound bows was engineered & manufactured first by Northern Michigan’s own, Darton Archery. Love seeing them get some recognition here!

    Great Video!!! I have shot Darton for a long time now, and the DS3800 & new Maverick were great bows! I have a 2023 Spectra -E 32 and 2022 Tempest-E, both phenomenal shooting bows! Randy Kitts has made a great push to make the company great again and getting Jimmy Lutz shooting as the 1st professional staff shooter for them & all the tournaments and titles he's won over the last few years has helped bring them and their amazing engineering to light again in the Archery world! But like any other sport, money talks and that's why Jimmy started shooting for Mathew's again.. Aj is right tho, they have some good quality in an affordable package! And I had been a Mathew's guy since the late 90's & Darton has made me a believer over the last 8yrs, and I shoot with Mathew's staff guys and they're very hesitant & some scared to even shoot my Dartons because they might like it and mentally don't like the thought of shooting something that isn't a BIG Name in the industry, yet most folks don't realize or believe that more than likely something on their overpriced fancy bow has one of Darton Archery's patents on it! Absolutely loved the video, and very informative!!! I always love seeing honest and non bias reviews on equipment like this!!! Keep making great content!!!

    Nice comparison! I have shot a few of these and the Elites are incredible. The Omnia is screaming it feels better than the VTM to me. It's also $300 cheaper. That would be my personal choice but id take any of them and be happy!

    • @truthfromthestand9994
      @truthfromthestand9994  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. They all shot well. If pice isn’t a thing I liked both Hoyts…but the next for me is the Darton and it was the least expensive of all the bows I shot.

    The amount of technology in the Elites is really separating them from a lot of other bows. The Smooth mods on the Omnia is incredible smooth. This bow really holds on target as well. My favorite bow of 2023.

    I think thats a pretty accurate lineup. For me personally, I would have went with a Ventum Pro 33/VTM34 at the top, then followed your lineup but switched the Elite Omnia ahead of the Mathews.

    I've always shot Hoyt, but I've never felt an incentive to upgrade from my Nitrum 34. But, coming from 75% let-off, the new ones always felt lacking. If anything they should have done instead of releasing a new one, it's low let-off mods/drawstops. I went with the Omnia, and I don't think I'll look back (I am brand loyal, but feel like Hoyt is taking sales for granted). I was hesitant about the 6" brace height, but I get along with it and scores are up within a week.
    By the way, reducing the let-off on the Omnia cleans up the dump a lot. At 80-85% the valley is less of a dump.
    Low let off keeps you honest.

    Last year I broke down and bought a new bow and the bow I walked away with was the Mathews V3X. I looked at the Hoyt but didn’t shoot it. I didn’t like the Pic rail on the front of the riser. I liked the bridge lock system so I bought the Mathews. The downfall I’ve noticed is the weight. After the setup my bow is heavy and when you pack in a good ways you start noticing it. The price also had a role in my decision. I just couldn’t see myself spending the extra 700 bucks just to knock off a couple pounds. This year the phase 4 is nice but to make it worth your while you need to get the new stabilizer system and right now I can’t afford spending an extra 5-6 hundred bucks for a dang stabilizer. The way I see it though it’s here to stay so sometime in the future if I stay with Mathews then I’ll break down and buy one. I figure in the next couple years Mathews will release a carbon bow. I will most likely wait until it’s released before buying another new bow.

    I have the RX7 but I’m going with the Elite Omnia this year for me it’s deader in hand and holds a lot better for me
    Also they make a smooth mod which eliminates most of the dump into the valley

    Great video mate, but what is the best hunting bow ?? The best hunting bow is the one that suits you, these bows are all great with different technology for tuning ‘ some bows could do with longer DL would be nice for some of us tall guys and be nice to see some bows with longer ATA like out to 42 ATA and DL out to 34 inch,

  • @justinbwhite31
    @justinbwhite31 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't have a ton of options with my draw length. I ended up with the Hoyt RX-7 Ultra. The others just didn't feel right. Speeds are above advertised. The extra draw length makes the difference.

    • @southerndraw935
      @southerndraw935 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the newer Darton Bows go out to a 31" draw or 31.5" in 1/4" increments. Some companies are trying to cater to the long DL shooters since over the years it's always been hard for them to find a good quality bow with a long DL.

  • @Easternandoutward
    @Easternandoutward ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So I’m looking for a bow I’ve had my bear assault for about 15 years now I’m looking at a Hoyt RX7 ultra. For a carbon bow what is the life expectancy out of it? I shoot pretty often between 100 and 150 arrows per night during. The summer and. I hunt quite a bit all the way till February. And I just love to shoot in general. How many years do you think I would get out of it? Because generally speaking, I probably take about two or 4 months break. Or I don’t shoot more than 500 shots in that. Period of time. Just a TH-cam channel asking for your expertise

  • @eyesintheskies

  • @PAKraig

    Thanks for putting this review and comparison together. I'm contemplating a new carbon this year as well and have already compared the Bowtech Carbon One to my current RX7. Can't quite bring myself to get rid of the RX7 in favor of the Carbon One, but I'll see what happens when I have a chance to compare it head-to-head with the new Era once it arrives. Is it safe to assume all the bows in your test were decently tuned before shooting to compare?

    Every company is returning to the Mathews Z7 design, only with shorter & bigger camps. I called this years ago. I think most bow makers are making excellent bows these days, but they're starting to look like Z7's or more appropriately, like Triaxes...but the Z7 is where it all began.

  • @Hawyndiver
    @Hawyndiver ปีที่แล้ว

    This is why I don't take bow reviews on TH-cam too seriously. People will always have their preference, no matter what kind of technology manufacturers bring to the table. Obvious biased opinions ruin bow reviews. Go out and test them all and shoot what like

  • @capricornmagic63
    @capricornmagic63 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    In all honesty, what else can they do with a bow? Other than the odd feature here and there, they're all the same. My advice? find a bow that you like the look of, that you shoot well with and stick with it. Getting the next best thing every year will not aid ones development as an archer. It's all about good form and reps. Loads of reps.
