    I really enjoy your format and the way you guys are comparing bows. Could you please do a comparison with the Hoyt VTM 31, 34 and the Prime Revex 2 and 4?

      @@extremeoutfitters if possible compare how they shoot with recommended offset 2° I believe, then max helical for trouble shooting. Thanks for the videos!!

      What bad have you heard about the DCA vanes? I've been shooting them for months. They're quieter than AAE max stealths and have no problem stabilizing 150 gr. fixed blades.

    • @dcacustomarrows1816
      @dcacustomarrows1816 ปีที่แล้ว

      2.5 degrees is recommended but not maximum. I have heard guys shooting 1 degree to as much as you can get! Still work great!

    So I'm that guy with the draw length issue.
    I'm looking at getting the VTM 34 and I have a draw length of 29.5", right at the start of the second mod. What would you guys do if you were in that situation? I have the axius alpha (29.5 ATA) at that same draw length and my bow arm is definitely contracted. I'm thinking I could stretch to a 30" draw length on the VTM. I don't want to lose 8-10 FPS at 29.5" draw length but i'm not going to cry about it either.

      @jroutdooradventures ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would go with the 34 and go to that 30 inch then put it at 80% letoff. It will feel just as fine and not lose that efficiency

  • @stevenguldeman9552
    @stevenguldeman9552 ปีที่แล้ว

    You stated that the Hoyt has an IBO of 342. This is incorrect. Hoyt uses the ATA speed rating and Mathews uses the IBO rating. There is a difference. Ratings are confusing to begin with and rarely accurate to the real-world speed. I appreciate your reviews and tests, and at the end of the day the same arrow from the different bows is the best comparison. Thanks

    Mathews draw? sssssssssss TINK!!
    The Hoyt? Dead silent.
    My take on it?
    If you want a bow that doesn’t ssssTINK, go with the Hoyt. 😉

    Do the draw lengths feel and measure similar? 29.5" DL on the Mathews feel the same as the 29.5" DL on the Hoyt?

    • @jroutdooradventures
      @jroutdooradventures ปีที่แล้ว

      The Mathews feels a bit longer.

      I can tell you what it feels like to me since ive been shooting v3x29 at 28” since December ( probably averaging 300 arrows per week or more) i shoot alot practically every day. Wife just bought me vtm31 for father’s day ( 2 weeks early)… been shooting it regularly. The vtm hits back wall and is soooo solid . I feel so good and steady in my anchor compared to the v3x. And honestly, i owned other hoyts and the v3x was by far the best shooting and most fun to shoot i ever had. Now…. It will be for sale

    I would like to see a comparison between stabilizers. Use a bow that you feel has a lot of hand shock and see which stabilizer reduces it the most.

      I have not bow hunted in 8 years and getting ready to get back in it .. when did hand shock become a thing ?

    I also greatly appreciate the draw length comparisons.I have a 27.5 draw length,so I'll be going Hoyt.

    Mathews... The Hoyt can't even compete with the V3X let alone the incremental improvements the Phase 4 adds to the platform.
