Have a 2015 Striple, non-R model. Love everything about it. Rode SV650's for 3 years and then getting onto the Striple, it was like the SV but every single aspect was improved. The gearbox is buttery smooth, the thing handles like a razor blade, and the engine noise is awesome. The way the bike is balanced, it feels SOOOO light when you're moving, carving or leaning the bike takes so little effort. I took the Striple for a test ride and within a minute of riding it felt like I had been riding it for years.

Looking to do the same with my FZ-07 in a year or so. Love the FZ, but the striple seems like everything the FZ is missing, will miss the super low torque though.
My first bike was also a 650s. Now im on my second street triple, first normal, now the "R". the "R" is worth the premium in my opinion, especially if you live somwhere with lots of corners.

Yes, I noticed that. I'm also astonished that someone who rides a motorcycle like that in shorts feels they're qualified to offer advice or a valid opinion to anyone contemplating buying this or indeed any motorcycle. About on a par with all the westerners who go to Bali and, never having ridden a bike in their lives, rent a scooter and ride around in thongs, shorts and singlets with no gloves or helmet and end up in wrecks suffering horrific injuries. Of course it they end up in the news with a bleeding heart story about how many medical bills they have and please can everyone contribute to help through GoFund scheme set up by some distraught family member who's saying how dangerous bikes are and calling for them to be banned.

Srkcycles everything you mentioned about the bike is NOT stock so you are misleading to put it kindly. The mirrors, braided lines, exhaust etc. Change the title to Triple mods and ride and that would be honest. You lied and wasted our time man. You suck!
@@AlienSexGod the braided lines come as standard on all the street triples and the standard exhaust sounds almost as good as the pipe on this one.
I'm riding a 2014 street triple 675r and I don't have a problem with it at all compared to the Suzuki gsr 600 the Triumph performs better in all stages. It's a great

May I ask you a question about the Street triple R. I'm planning to buy a Street Triple R 2010 and I was concerned about the breaking system. Is it powerful enough to ride on track? Does it have enough bite? I used to have a SV650s and then bought a Fz8 and I was disappointed with the breaks (not enough bite), so I have always been a bit sceptical of roadsters and I don't want to be disappointed again. I have tried the Daytona 675 2011. Is the Street triple R breaking comparable to the Daytona? Thanks for your help.
Yes my guy, among the bikes you have ridden so far, best comparison to Street triple's breaks would be the Daytona
@@metegurun5641 Many thanks for your message, I have bought a Street Triple R 2013 at the end and I confirm, it is not like the average roadsters, especially with the same adjustable forks, suspension as the Daytona, and the brakes have enough bite (at least enough for me!). However, I will probably change the straight handlebars for clip on handlebars and change the foot pegs as well to have something even closer to the Daytona. Ride safe my friend ;)

We have more speed triples here than other bike. You don't seem to see them at all.

Go for it. Just hit 10k on mine and it's been an amazing bike. Installed a quickshifter, shorty levers, Micheline Power RS tires and fender eliminator.
I bought a 2006 model. It’s a 1050cc The throttle is absolutely ridiculous. Extremely fun to accelerate. But it does come with a lot of respect.
You bought a Speed triple, completely different than the Street. They handle nothing alike.

@@jimbo1485most miles I’ve put on my 2018 R was 450 and it was awesome i use motul 7100 and she runs like a dream
@@jimbo1485I also have 17k miles on my 2018 I ride it relatively a lot and will b doing the valves here in a week as well as oil and just getting everything checked I need front break pads but everything else I just replaced like chain and sprocket andb tires
It is currently on rosso 4s and it is my most fav bike. Recently didn’t wanna start up after a canyon ride. No ignition when I pressed starter so had to bump start it for a day but it magically started working again Lmaoo so yeah so far it’s a great bike even at 17k just be good at bump starting

Prefer the older model with twin under seat exhaust. Belly pan fairing and a small windscreen they look incredible imo
