You should use gates to score these things and others. That is the point really free driving the same line won’t always produce the same line.

Good review. They look to be pretty equally matched with each having different advantages over the other. As a life long Team Associated fan (since 1984) I’m a bit biased toward the Enduro. But I think the TRX4 is one of the beat Crawlers in the game! Who’s the winner? We are!
I think some people must have started the video, went afk for 13 minutes came back and just commented "lol trx wins" because clearly the Element edged it out on a few occassions. People put way too much faith into portal axles. They're both great trucks, and really "the best" rig is gonna be the one you drive and like the best, and No I don't own an Element.
Your reviews and vs videos are the best, nobody really takes the time to put two rigs against each other like you guys do. Both of the trucks are so good, but since i am a tried and true AE fan i am biased against the Traxxas, but i admit it is a really really great truck. They really are very evenly matched, and I am really amazed at how capable they both are. Great Video..👍👍👍👍

Just finished a Sport kit and will build the 10 II Raw Kit next. Tried and true. I figure the Sendero needs some more time to provero itselfero.
lol. I love my Enduro kit. With weighted wheels and a 2200mah battery strapped over the front axle (where the servo winch would normally go), it crawls up tons of things. I also put my shocks into droop which allows the wheels to settle over obstacles faster. Great little rig!
Did you put the stocks shocks in the droop set up?
@@jahmenrcbuildingasone4254 I ran Desert Lizards and have the stock shocks back in. Playing with spring settings now and removing the outside spring and using a smaller spring on the outside of shock shaft as a bump stop and the weight of the vehicle will keep the shock in droop.
I have one of each, Capra on order anxious to see how it will compare, I suspect it will dominate,time will tell though!

Ok. I just watched your video on the element where a couple minutes in the video turned over to the actual outdoor running by the paint shop for a couple minutes before switching back over to you inside where the reviews take place. My question is why don't you have / use a widely known control vehicle to simply run the rocks or trail areas along with each review so we can get an idea of how each new or updated truck performs compared to one we already have knowledge of in comparison. Keeping the control truck the same through every review. Thanks. Tom
@@nunocarneiro464 don't get me wrong I do see that paint shop in the background in most all video shots. But it would be nice to see a follow the leader type run with a stock comparison truck that most of us are already familiar with to make the pros and cons ..... advantages/disadvantages more noticeable in the moment. That's all. If I were in the market for a full scale truck and drove a ford... 2 months later a chevy it'd be a lot easier if I tested them in the same day , same roads etc. Idk sorry if I don't make sense
@@nunocarneiro464 I have a losi mini crawler and a wheely king as well with the crawler conversion kit. They've both been up in a closet for years. I'm looking to get a newer scale truck that's pretty good out of the box that can also bash around a little bit. Nothing crazy. Scx 10 2 / trx4 are what I have been looking at. The review on this channel of the red trx sport seemed quick enough. There's so much out these days since I hung up the hobby almost a decade ago. lol
I really enjoy my Element Enduro. Haven't had the opportunity to drive a TRX4 yet though.

Actually just finished my element kit, not at all impressed, the only thing this truck has going for it is the overdrive options, but the materials are cheap plastic, I have a TRX 4, Gen 8, Gen 7, Injora crap scx10 clone, element and others.
I would compare the element closer to my austar and Gen 7.
And the trx4 with the Gen 8.
Element is overpriced at 240.00
I bought my Gen 8 Pak chassis for
158.00 way better
Francis. Conclusions? Think the TRX4 Sport should have had OD too. Then, it is more a comparison of with/without portals. Good move going with the Sendero body for the comparison.

Just wondering... how are the shocks holding up? New to these "emulsion shocks" and I have to say I don't understand the concept.
hi,,,what radio are you using for the trx 4 sport?
Was the Element all standard plastics or were any upgrades to the hard plastic?
Do you recall what weight shock oil was in the Enduro?
How do those vs410 bumpers work on the trx-4?

IMO they both did great but I feel the elemental looked more like a crawler where as the Traxxas sometimes looked like it just bashed its way through things.

Great vid! Just got done with my Sport build (still a few upgrades to do, but isn't there always). But the Element kit is the next on the list. So best of both worlds!
Side question: Thought the TRX had OD already? Or is this a different truck from the 7 upgrades vid?

I think both looked equally capable. But since everyone and their grandma has the TRX4 already, personally I favour the Enduro.
As the trucks get more and more capable it's clearly getting down to the driver.
Trx struggle more it seems..I like that last part on the rocks where AE took it like a breeze ..but again it’s man behind the wheel..😁

Having the 2 diff style trucks dosnt really give a true comparison imo where one may be built to be a better class 1 or 2 truck than the other. What is the trx4 best suited for and what mods would be best to make it a top class 2 truck?Same as Enduro what does it take to make it the best crawler it could be? I think they both have strengths and weaknesses in diff area's. Where one could suit something better than the other...👍
If you swap the rear bumper mount to the front then turn it upside down it lifts it up heaps . Thats what I did on my sport

That Traxxas is dialed in, looks silky smooth compared to the Sendero. Sendero is no slouch, Associated is on their way.
Now have both (well trx4 kit and element RTR). Not sure which is 'better'. Where one isn't as good the other is and vice versa (on same trails). Element is definitely lighter.
My question is, which was more fun to drive..I like the ttansmission notes from the Sendero, but I do assorted driving not just rocks and the TRX portal/trans sounds whiny.

They really are both fun to drive, to me at least, for the exact reasons said above. But now I'm building a 1.9 Wraith with SSD portals, so that may reshuffle the deck completely.

I just git the trx4 sport...i was surprised how fast it was compared 2 my gen 8....the throttle seems real sensitive..im practically doing wheelies of the start...is that normal lol
ESCs on both these are terrible. Can be tuned down using the transmitter. Also use 2-cell
The trx4 sport are way to high geared stock... And the stock motor is not smooth at all... Smaller pinion and a higher turn ( 27-35t) motor is the way to go.
Swap to a 45t spur and smaller pinion. I went 9t, lowest gearing possible. Still moves at a very quick walking pace. Also have the HW 1080

I love your videos and tests and they really seem objective. I have bought and assembled a Traxxas TRX4 Sport Kit, following your electronic advice, settings and others and it is much better than my old Traxxas TRX4 Defender.
