The fact that this was a subplot, and not the main plot of the game speaks volumes to the depth of grand theft auto auto 4. It still doesn’t make sense to me that the diamonds ended up in the middle of a park when they were in the back of a dump truck though.
Well, the dump truck was traveling through an industrial area, and from there you can drive back into Broker, which is where it was going. Stopped at the park, either they were unloading there nearby, or the driver was checking the load, he dumped them next to it in the trash.
Pegorino is to blame. He made Ray the only capo. Ray should have more capos helping him. And Jimmy hired so many associates without checking them first.

The diamond story in GTA 4 is really one of the best written stories in GTA series. Hopefully GTA 6 has a story similar to this one. Great breakdown of this plot line in the game, I never even thought about Ray pocketing the money for himself, I thought he was gonna use the diamond money to get Pegorino’s favor.
A great recap on the diamonds storyline. I originally thought Ray Bulgarin actually recovered the diamonds after the botched deal at Charge Island somehow and Luis had them on him and it fell. I really wonder if Luis and Tony actually noticed that they were in Jerry’s possession in the end but that’s another story. About Johnny setting up the Los Santos Chapter with the diamond money….. I’m fairly sure that Johnny gave the money to Jim’s family. I do believe that Johnny betrayed Ray because he was desperate after Brian’s betrayal along with his distrust of Boccino coupled by his relationship with Ashley, however the wiki says that Johnny gave the diamond money to Jim’s family which I believe. He may have kept half of it for himself though after desiring to start a new chapter of the Lost. However I really overlooked how Ray kept the diamond issue a secret from the rest of the Pegorinos. It puts Ray in a new light. However I’m willing to give Ray the benefit of the doubt because we’ll never know what would happen if he did have the money from the deal. Ray did say that he didn’t wish to speak of the diamond unless he has earned from it. Ray likely would’ve given 60% of his cut to Pegorino, approximately 600,000 dollars with Ray himself getting 400,000, despite him having orchestrating the whole thing with Johnny supposedly receiving one million dollars. Considering Ray’s goons attempting to kill Johnny as he left the museum with Niko just having left, we’ll never know if Ray really did intend to screw Johnny over.
The diamonds were a plot device, that's all. The moral of GTA IV I feel was that while pursuit of money is what America is all about. Greed can cost us as seen in the mission "If The Price Is Right".

Best storyline in the series, Pulp Fiction style
I started the video and my playback speed wa at 2x , bro I though you were rapping 😂 , after i did 1x then read the subtitles understood what were you speaking
Yeah I always wondered what happened to the money it makes sense if the lost moved out and started a new operation in sandy shores with it but they didn't explain what happened in tlad
i love your videos, much love from switzerland ❤
Bruh I deadass binged damn near every video, good shit my guy
2:11 That's what he said.
the cursed diamonds of death.
"she xant speak we got a gag in her mouth!" Lol i swear packie has always been one of my favorite characters in the series hes hilariously cynical.
So the homeless guy is the person who killed niko's mates and got spared,i may not be an ass,but he looks like him😮
A gta 6 return of this diamond madness would be appreciated.
Since jerry kapowitz moved to vice city gta 6 might have something to do with the diamonds
thank god SOMEONE remembers that @@dontbelikeme9165
my fav youtuber man great video are we doing strengths for Johnny Luis etc?
cant wait for your new videos
Something about Tony reminds me of Robert Downey Jr
Underrated youtuber
When ray says don’t respect the waste management business he means teddy don’t have respect for the mafia and feels he don’t have to pay them waste management be code for mobbed up
We have not seen the last of this homeless man. I have a feeling he will be someone that will be able to purchase arms from. The Rockstar staff is pretty good at adding more lore to certain characters. I also feel like we will get more confirmations on alot of characters fates from GTA4&5.
Bro I love videos like this because I never played IV (went from ps2 to ps4 GTA V was my first HD GTA, played the hell outta VC and 3 (didn’t get SA until my teens)
I literally didn’t know shit about the GTA3 story, I played like half the story barely paying attention and then for 3 straight years I would just log on, do cheats to get all the guns, and go around rampaging and doing glitches and stuff from TH-cam, I didn’t even realize Catalina had betrayed him or like, really realized wtf was going on lol, Claude never talking really made it hard to pay attention, never finished the story lol, Vice City meanwhile, which I had at the same time, I remember most of the characters vaguely and I played most or all of the campaign, wasn’t into 3s story but I enjoyed rampaging in Liberty City more than Vice City lol, always made me sad that the map didn’t include more of Florida, hoping 6’s map includes a version of my home city, I wonder if my house will be in it 🥺
I remember hating the weird 80s blockbuster movie glare that you would get anytime the sun was in frame in Vice City, that was a huge pet peeve of mine lol
This was the biggest side story in the whole game, The Diamond deal was about a good 1/3rd of the game.
Let's be honest, those diamonds are cursed. Until homeless guy found them.
Strong feeling we will Come across vercetti throughout the new grand theft
You make long videos seem like short ones it’s amazing
But you see how Ashley had Johnny head gone
i love watching your videos man keep it up😄
This is a beautiful Cinemark universe 💎
I hope this channel gets Popular. You make good Videos.
This whole story was clearly inspired by the movie snatch, in a good way
Hey please do a series like this on the herion the coke and the other shared storyline I forgot lol
Your videos are dope!! Kero up the good work💯💯💯
Looks like they took some inspiration from Snatch, which is a great movie by the way.
Everything about Luis was just mmm
27:01 am i tripping or did niko already take out ray wayy before they kidnapped the girl
From watching these Im gonna play GTA 4 again
The Diamond deal is my favourite part in this whole game.
Appreciate the lore video bro! GTA 4 is the best gta
31:05 lol
The way these 3 stories well far more than 3 but the way they intertwined is insane, such a masteful story. Johnny really made out the best woth all that money but bliws it on heroin whoops
You know the game is good when people still make videos about it 16 years later
Do a video over Franklin weakness to Tanisha and Tonia J B’s wife making him drive a truck for a company he owns
Great video bro
the deal will be so smoth and johnny will be still alive...it wasn't for luis lopez and gay tony.
This is great do more videos like this it’s awesome
Tbe diamonds and heroin are cursed
Do a video on the heroin story
34:50 what is the background song
And at 17:06
(In response to both of your comments) The pause menu theme for the Ballad of Gay Tony.
@@DaGenius99thank you
17:20 Did Luis kill that guy or knock him out?
He knocked him out, and the guy appears again in “Late Checkout” in GTA 4 so that explains it.
Could you do a video on red dead redemption?
Talk slower bro, or louder, but great video, hope to see more gta4 contant from you, keep it up
W vids like always
Man i love gta 4
same
i love these vids

Ray was behind the diamonds, Phil was behind heroin deal. Both had problems on the way but Phil secured his. That's why Pegorino chose him to live.
^ Rockstar Games related content❔yeah I’m definitely subscribing🤌🏼
