    A Level 1 Baby hid behind a chest in a building. There was 0 line of sight to see him when I opened the chest. A level 1 Baby downs you so fast you CAN'T RUN if he happens to be in range. That's when I realized the game was casual unfriendly. Also, no more bundles like in the Broly Season.

      That does sound fun in the moment though. I’d jump out of my chair I swear if they went to that length to hide and pop out.
      But also, yeah, not very casual friendly at this point.

    It pains me to see a game that had so much potential just to be completely wasted by poor decisions (Tho I feel its mainly Bandai Namco's decisions themselves that caused this downward spiral for DB The Breakers such as them controlling all of the monetization's in game), Great Vid! Who knows maybe Season 7 will be their redemption arc~

      @DialToneShow  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I tried to find out how much of the monetization was Bandai or Dimps decision. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything about it.
      There’s definitely a trend in the Gaming Industry where the publisher dictates aggressive financial practices by the developer over actual development. Hoping for Season 7 too!

    One thing I said from the jump is that they should've went with a darker tone and slower pace game. Dbz villians were scary when they were just slowly roaming around killing random people. It was legit scary when cell popped up on the z fighters, when Frieza or the ginyu force overpowered the z fighters, etc.

    • @FunkayMonkay149
      @FunkayMonkay149 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      A major change that could've helped is if they added more survivors and had multiple raiders. Maybe 20 survivors and 4 raiders and made the map much larger. Or just added different scenarios all together for shorter or longer experiences. 1 all powerful guy you need to escape and hide from? Cell roaming around absorbing people. A few raiders with a common goal and the survivors team up to prevent it? Android 16,17,18 vs 10 survivors. Then throw in a wild card lone player that is cell who wants to absorb 17 and 18. Now it's 1 v 3 v 10 with different goals to win the game. Cell wins if he evolves, androids win if they kill cell and one particular player (like goku), survivors win if they kill all raiders.

      @@FunkayMonkay149 I agree. Big issue was the pacing got out of hand. I thought letting Raiders change their kit would be a way to keep things suspenseful. Or at least different game modes that had different pacing.

    That's because of the stupid region lock! The pool of players you matched make with is imited because of that! They should remove region lock!

      @@DialToneShow I love this game really, I don't care what other people say bad to the game but I relly do enjoy it, it's just sad that the player was limited by the region lock which caused this game's demise. I am still waiting for update on their 2nd year anniversary on Oct 14th, I hope they will remove the stupid region lock.

      @@DialToneShow additional to the annoying part of this game is it seems that I was locked or limted to be matched make with mostly Chinese players, they are annoying as they don't do a team work and does not care about any other players.. You got down by a Raider and they won't help you at all. Chinese @$$ holes.

    Great review, but kinda forgot to include the region/coast block that literally isolated people to their areas and made the gameplay with friends outside/discord impossible for some people like me, literally 8 People takes more than half or more than 1 hour on a more movement day and having problem of not connecting which make us abandon this amaizing game for stupid reasons...

      @@mgman848 Only thing I could think of would be a rebalanced mode that requires less players that lets people lean into the power scaling a bit more. Lower the cooldowns to compensate. Tried that with some friends in practice. But it gets so one-sided until Raider reaches max level.

    4:13 It wasn't wise to exclude a chat system. If the game had a chat system, less frustrating moments would happen. How do you communicate "hey, the raider has the last dragonball, let's jump him"? You can't.
    2024 and people think voice chat is so bad for games now. 2006 players laugh. If you don't like what someone is saying, either mute/block them, or just opt out of voice chat. 2024 guys, can we stop pretending like it's illegal for humans to talk to each other?
    4:30 the raider queue issue can be solved in 2 days. 1 - simply make it so you can queue for raider and wait, it's a line. So if I queued and I am position 15, I have to wait for 14 raiders to get into a game 1st. 1st come 1st servce --- or 2nd - They make it so priority for raider queue is based on medals earned. This way, someone with all bronzes would get no progress at all, while someone with 5 plat medals would jump up by 5 priority levels.
    5:05 this happens mostly due to skill differences. My 1st raider game was against 5 Z rank premade players. All energy barrier + jaco ship + IT. I lost. Now a days, as an experienced Z2+ raider, I get games against A-B ranks that are not even level 100 yet. They are complete stomps. The match making is awful. A big part of it is due to no raider queue only system. That way, if you are a Z raider, you would vs Z survivors. Instead, we can have Z raider vs A-C rank players, which leads to stomps and calls of "imbalanced/poor gameplay". Another part of this issue is the fact that the 1st 20-40 levels on raiders are extremely important for evolving fast. If a frieza is dying at level 1, then it's likely they do not have a max passive for evolution.
    Solo Q players can win against raiders easily. It isn't really even about the fact it's premades, it's just they have voice comms. They are 7 people who won't sensu bean and feed level 1. Solo Q? You might get that. The systems in place is what causes the issues with premades vs solo Q. Allow voice chat in-game, and make priority based on medals earned (or a raider only queue) and suddenly balancing is a lot better/easier to do.
    The thing that kills off games tends to be the systems, not the game itself. Breakers is a fun game, but the systems in place along with broken queue timers (mostly due to coastal lock) is the worst decisions you could've ever made.
    Also, tip regarding queue. Requeue after 3 minutes. This game is stupid and will get you into a game faster if you were waiting a shorter amount of time. Broken queue system as usual.

      Very detailed. I appreciate that.
      As far as the chat system goes. I grew up in the days of Halo 3 and CoD 4, so I get the idea of muting people who are disruptive or just straight out rude. I even met some very good friends that I still play with to this day from the open lobby chat systems.
      But if dead by daylight, League of Legends, heroes of the storm, STARCRAFT and other games with a high competitive curb have taught me anything, it is very rare to actually see people communicating toward a constructive goal. The best I see are some of the funniest jokes on the Internet raising team morale. On the other side of that, are people who get mad when they don’t get their way or blaming others. That’s not a 100%, but those behaviors have encouraged developers to leave out chat functions. Replacing them instead with ping systems like the “I’ll handle it” and “Let’s Fight” like Breakers did. So based on my experiences, open chat can be pivotal toward a victory, but also ruin the experience for players (especially when older players verbally attack people who happen to be younger than them.)
      I’d opt in for open chat and players being able to mute and/or report. Also good tip at the end there. It’s very true.

      Also, I BIG TIME AGREE that systems kill a game. I think if Dimps wasn't the developer, the game would've had a team that was more insightful to asymmetric gameplay and systems. I really do like Dimps, but they were not the right choice.
