I believe in Tenkaichi health only regenerated on the last bar. The main purpose to switch was ki regeneration. Years later and that doesn’t seem too bad.
This is a long one so tl;dr at the bottom You are correct in that each meta in the game has a "counter" but when people say the game is cheesy they aren't using your definition of cheese. The definition they are using is that the game's mechanics are poorly designed, and thus allow strategies that take an exorbitant amount of skill to counter vs the skill required to execute, or have cobbled together counterplay because the devs didn't include a real intended way to stop it. A simple example is Z-Broly ki blast spam. You can't turn while blocking or deflecting, and you cannot perception ki blasts. If you stop blocking or deflecting you will get hit which means you still cannot turn to face broly. He armors through ki blasts so you can't use them to stop his instant spark. If you are stuck blocking or deflecting it's basically guaranteed that he will get behind you and at the very least get free ki blast damage. You can revenge counter, but broly can immediately repeat the process after it hits, so it's only really wasting your own skill points. Broly isn't unbeatable, the problem people have is that they don't feel like having to put together a batman level strategy plan to beat holding left stick and mashing triangle. Giants are another issue. Yes you can perception the unblockable dash. But that doesn't mean giants aren't cheesy. The dash basically beats all options except for perception so now if you get hit by it you have to guess perception or ki blast over and over. And even if you perception the dash, it still beats almost every other option besides perception. Or you can pick a high DP character and then the giant is just stunlocked for the entire game. So if your DP is below 7 the giants have cheese in their favor, and if it's 7 or above you're the cheese. They didn't fix the issue that giant characters had from BT3 and in fact have made the problem worse by making them even more annoying for weak characters to deal with. Z- Burst dash has removed neutral from the game. It's not impossible to stop yourself from getting hit; but you can't actually disengage except by dragon dashing directly up and down. Besides the cursed camera angles, trying a directional dragon dash will just have their attack track you and hit you anyway. Ult beams can also go directly up or down, so dealing with attacks you literally cannot see is also fun. Dragon dashing directly up and down probably wasn't an intended way to escape Z-Burst dash. I'd imagine that they actually had no intended way to stop it, they always planned for you to just be able to do it and be on the offense for free at all times. Unblockable supers are also part of the issue. I counted some ults and the game literally gives you 3 frames of the in game camera before the ult hits. Tenkaichi 3 always showed them launching the attack from the in game camera for a decent amount of time, allowing you to actually see the animation and time your dodge. In this game you have to memorize when the cutscene ends and hope you hit perfect timing to actually dodge them. The timing for dodging some of these ultimates is tighter than a Super Counter if not done point blank. I disagree with your example from the beginning of the video. In MvC2 no random John Doe from the street is ever going to hit any of those unblockable setups, infinites or crazy ass vortexes. They'd be lucky to do a basic magic series combo consistently. It takes people months to likely years of practice to ever do any of those setups in a real game. Literally anybody can hold left stick and mash triangle with Broly. So while I do agree that each strategy technically has a counter (despite how janky and poorly thought out the games battle mechanics are), the problem isn't the lack of counters the problem is how difficult the counter is in comparison to using it. People massively discredit how much effort it takes to actually stop some of these strategies. TL;DR. The definition of cheese you're using and the definition of cheese that the playerbase is using is completely different. The game has too many strategies that are extremely easy to execute yet require a ton of practice to stop. It doesn't matter that it's technically fair in the sense that "it has a counter" if my opponent is slobbering on the controller and i'm sweating my ass off. Easy to use, effective, and hard to counter is the cheese people are talking about. Also, people want to play and see different characters, having rigid Rock, Paper, Scissor style gameplay where if your character lacks certain skills they're dogshit just adds insult to injury.
I appreciate the long winded response and you make lots of great points. To avoid a very long “argument” I will say that I don’t think it takes A LOT of skill to counter the easy to execute meta in this game. It takes some skill and the opponent most likely won’t be using much skill in their “cheese” either. In my video I’m going up against a Z rank… which you probably know is the highest rank and the same rank as me, meaning his skill level should be the same as mine. Yet, I am able to hard counter him and easily win because I have the right set ups for what he’s going to do. I would also like to say that I believe the real and original definition of cheesey is an unfair strategy. Other things can be accounted for like the ease of execution, but that can be subjective. Like I said I don’t think a lot of the things in Sparking take extensive practice nor skill. Some do, but not all. Just need to know the mechanics. For example, a 7DP character being able to down giants and Z Broly very easily doesn’t take skill. It’s a built in counter to these character archetypes.
Spot on…. Poorly designed game mechanics… but that’s only from the perspective of this being a “competitive” game. And sure it can be, just like with anything. But I don’t think the devs created this game with the expectation to see it at EVO. And the game definitely reflects it.
@@miles6120 I'd agree but then the game devs literally announced a tournament style world tour, so either they're delusional or this game was intended to at least be somewhat well designed
@@alwuhugaming You're probably ALOT better at games than you give yourself credit for. You identified strategies that the playerbase hasn't quite grasped and from what I gather, extensive FG experience has developed skills that you're leveraging in this game. While you'd be a very good player in say Tekken 8, you probably wouldn't be winning tournaments left and right. Alot of FG players call themselves trash even though by skill they could slap 99% of the playerbase just because they can't win a tourney. You have to remember that the average player struggled to beat the great ape vegeta fight. These are the players you're asking to deal with Broly, Near impossible ult dodges, and Giant dash spam. If the game is a competitive fighter, then it needs well designed tight mechanics and controls, so this ain't it. If the game is a casual anime game, then these strategies still need to go, because why are we asking casual players to look up TH-cam guides and go to practice mode like this is a traditional FG?
Bro I swear ppl are starting to revenge counter me to make sure I don't get free sparking set ups, I was already using this for a pretty long while before I had ppl consistently start doing it to me lol I feel these players are watching your videos, keep it up man I love watching these
YESSIRR. THAT MEANS YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE IT TO Z. I expect a comment soon about you making it to Z and maybe matching up against me in ranked ;)
I really like the parts of your videos where you talk about the game and break certain characters down. You should make a series trying out a bunch of characters and breaking them down in the beginning then taking them online after
I do that sometimes! But I’ll try to do it more often. Just got sooo many videos to make and sooo many tips and tricks to help people so they don’t quit the game out of frustration HAHA
U just earned a Sub. This video was so informative. I've been maining Base Goku (Super) and adult Gohan since day 1 and I've always used them as counters for certain characters. But your video went more in depth.
im so grateful to you my man. watching your videos and how you do your combos, learning from you how to actually play and throw hands i made it to S5. i did make it up there with ssj4 gogeta but i dont use supers at all. ive beaten S3's and S2's with hands and knowledge from ur vids. mixing up combos, using revenge counters, neutral/charged attacks are a big game changer for me, the constant pressure i apply not letting these higher ranks get their instant sparking is funny they just try and do it in ur face, they dont know how to actually block just use supers, but since i learned from u to practice my vanishes i can evade all these unblockable ults, supers, and dashes. thank you
Useful tips as always. Now that I've improved with the game, the main issue I have is with Super Counters. I'm trying to replicate your combos, but everyone is able to Super Counter the moment I begin them. It's unreal. They need to make it harder like it was in BT3. Even C ranks pull it off like it's nothing. My skill issue maybe, but still...
these videos are unbelievable. Seriously my favorites sparking videos to watch. could you get a controller input visual on the screen?? that way it’s even CLEARER what you're doing
I've been comparing pokemon to dp battles in my head and I'm so happy to see another comparison!! It goes deeper than type advantages, such as certain archetypes. Especially your point at 3:38, people will be so quick to downplay their loses because they don't have an answer to a popular meta strategy in both these games
Been watching the last few videos you uploaded by far the best SZ tech/bare knuckle/ analitic creator. I've been learning a lot from your videos and my friend's are getting helpless against me. Love the videos love the commentary keeping it simple big phrase to you my man and keep up the great work soon you'll have 10k subs.
Thanks man, this is a great video, i hope this channel keep growing, i hate seeing ppl who doesn't know anything about the game saying the game is dead, brainless or cheesey, big content creators promote these ""cheesey"" strategies and bc of them that's what you see online and ppl think this is the way to play just bc they say so, instead of taking some time to learn how to counter it, Wich is pretty simple as you showed here, I'll show this video to everyone I know, keep doing your thing 👍🏻
i feel like a good bit of Sparking Zero's playerbase hasn't really played a fighting game competitively, so the moment these players are faced with something that's "cheesy" the immediate response is to fault the game for creating them that way before even attempting to figure out ways to counteract that character or playstyle. Now I'm not gonna pretend like I don't think there's some cheesy playstyles and things you can do in this game (like only using autosparking in singles or spamming ki blasts and launching broly's unblockable), but I personally feel like the reason why the game has taken a steeper drop-off in playbase is due to the fact that these players gave up attempting to even counteract these different playstyles or characters, and just immediately blame the game. Yes, afterimage strike is annoying, yes unblockables are frustrating, but the game has so many different wants to counteract these skills and abilities, why not at least try to figure them out?
@@neiflowkeycold yeah and it’s so ironic cuz there’ll be SO many people saying to play a “real competitive fighter” cuz sparking is “too cheesey”… ??!!
dude, when you have street fighter pro players telling you this is a cheesey game, you can't respond with "i feel like a good bit of Sparking Zero's playerbase hasn't really played a fighting game competitively", i was happy to follow this channel but you'all are becoming delusional, trying to get good and play around it is one thing, becoming delusional and rejecting reality is another
I have over 1100 hours on street fighter 3 3rd strike and this game is indeed cheesy as fuck. its not about getting good, its about cheesy players having this much of an advantage with some characters that you have to be substantially better just to have a chance. cheesy playstyles have always been a thing in fighting games but this time they are literally op while commonly that kind of playstyle are just noob abusers. If you have random people getting to the max rank using this kind of playstyle (and they arent a few) then its obvius you have some balance issue within the game mechanichs
As someone who sunk tons of hours in street fighter 4 this game is way cheesier, yes there is zoning/spam in street fighter 4 but there is not only tools to counter play but characters like seth or akuma or even fast characters like vega has tools to counterplay. Sparking zero has moves like afterimage strike you have to wait for like 20 seconds or so and wait for that strong move to run out which is too long, by then the person probably got that right back to rinse and repeat. Unblockable ultimates like jiren and broly where you can play perfectly and still lose to one move. not to mention in sparking mode infinite ki spam then ultimate is go tos. AND instant sparking has no flaws or punishments for how powerful and game changing it is
Some of the best sparking zero videos out here. I’m S4 in DP and had a really good series of matches with a Z rank, he beat me 2/3 times but I got one win. Took a LOT from this video, thanks a ton!
PLEASE make character breakdowns a series. i didn’t consider adult gohan strong at all until i watched you explain why he was so good now i consider him a top 10 DP character. there are alot of creators simply saying why a certain skill is strong or whatever but you literally broke down everything to how his combo can be used as a tool for setups and how well he flows, i havent seen anyone do that.
@@alwuhugamingi have only 1 character request; Super jenemba. ive been told he was amazing and he’s my favorite movie villain but i havent been having success with him. I really dont know when to ever use mystic breath and i havent seen any outstanding tool he has that would help him be above average. i know he has things like the unblockable ki blast but characters like trunks, zamasu and goku black also have that and they can insta spark and heal so idk what he excels at
those people who complaint about too many cheeses are those who have skill issues... im in z rank and the ONLY CHEESE i found in this game is Z BROLY. dude that guy LITERALLY has everything... maybe nerf the insta sparking skill to 4 points then hell be balance p.s. thank god someone talked about this... i also believe this game is balance.. well atleast in dp rank mode
Cell second form also is kinda cheese lol just gut punching into unteachable grab that gives HP and ki, but I learned today when I caught against decent players that even something as powerful as second form cell does indeed have counterplay!!! Everything in this game has counters and ppl just need to get better instead of crying all the time
@CascaEnjoyedIt yes everything has counter play thats what im trying to tell people all the time.. thats in dp mode.. in single its harder to counter.. the best thing to do in single mode is to force the ITEM MECHANICS.. and adjust the item slot of each character depending of thier dp value... 10dp= 3 item slot only 1-2 dp= 7 slots somethinh like this
3:50 Yes! I'm glad someone else has seen the similarities between DP battle and Pokémon. I used to play competitive Pokémon years ago and I bring the same strategies into DP battles. Just like Pokémon knowledge of what each character can do and what character counters them is so important, and building teams that can cover a wide range of opponent teams can really take you far. So much is knowledge based as well as skill based. Also, your videos have totally changed my perception of this game. I find myself capitalizing on so many mistakes now that I used to make as well before watching your videos. Made it out of the Bs all the way up to A1 since watching your videos. Thanks for really breaking this down for us 🙌🏿
Thanks to you I made it to S5 :) also played against you the other day, and I can't tell you how refreshing it was to get absolutely smacked by something other than Broly lol thank you for the in depth guides and tips bro!
Sparking 0 has some of the best game information content on all of TH-cam I wish more people took this time with mk1, tekken and sf. The propaganda that this game is dying is false of course player base is going to decrease after launch it had like 200,000 players on launch
I watch your videos and thanks to you I have no much more fun plus i actually learned optimal combos cuz of u thx bro u done knocked dotydoya out daily watches thx for the knowledge the vibes and being real bout everything
Yo best channel if you want to get better at dragon ball sparking zero right here. More people need to know about you. My gameplay has improved so much since watching your vids. Keep up the good work and keep those vids coming.
Thanks for this video man. I've been saying this game is like Pokémon where one thing counters the other since the launch but no one would listen and they would just keep complaining about the cheese. Your explanation was amazing.
The reality is that this is a very flawed game that only needs minor tweaks. Make super counter draw from either ki or preferably skill points, shorten after image strike, make teams 3 characters to increase variety and nerf switch healing, and remove combination of instant spark plus unblockable ult. Even Alwuhu admits that the game needs some tweaks. For now, we should just focus on getting gud because some of these changes will definitely come. I almost feel that super counter nerf was planned from the start because there is no future for a fighting game with a resourceless combo breaker.
The Videl just didn't know how to super counter. A normal interaction like that would end up in a vanish battle which gives her a bunch of skill counts to easily go afterimage strike on you.
That masenko hits MANY people lol. And if you watch the video you’ll see how I’ve conditioned him to stop super countering through unconventional combos. Maybe a pro player wouldnt get hit by a lot of what I do, but that’s why this are tips to improve on ranked play not as a pro.
@@alwuhugaming yes, but your method of unconventional combos also burns ALOT of Ki. So if he does manage to get one off, he wins the engagement, and can basically just kill you since you have no ki to defend yourself. God forbid he goes for an option that pressures a guard break out of you.
@ I’m an S rank in training 🤷I mostly play with friends. I only play online sometimes and I win almost every time since all of B is below my level and I don’t play enough to reach S.
Started playing SSJ Adult Gohan after watching you, and its genuinely so fun. I'd enjoy watching you play against a really great Dr. Gero in singles. They can be unbelievably oppressive, and I feel your analysis would be very enlightening. Cheers man!
I honestly find the main issue of this game is rage quiting. Because you can have a better character and spam ults but I i can dodge them and punish you with a combo however, all that effort goes to shit if ultimately my victory doesnt count. Like, the bottom line is that there's no way for you to win even if you struggle to play better.
These new age players are their own worst enemy fr. If the game goes their way, they're all gonna leave cause it's too balanced and the game is left in a ditch. SP has such an easy entree and they compare them to other fighting games, but don't play em. Smh. Great vid as always. Let's enjoy the few months we have lol
The reason people say they hate this game for cheese Is because it doesn't really require any brain thought process, unblocking ult into sparking into another ult Those other fighting games "cheese" Was the very skilled players eventually finding a way to break the game unlike sparking it's pretty fast to learn. That's what I'm thinking, idk how other fighting games handle their broken infinites
I agree and understand that. The cheese in other games needing high skill isn’t too bad. But in other games, there’s still many mechanics that are cheesey. Such as MVC3 having invincible start up supers etc.
The MVC example couldn't get any worse! The game is known for being insanely broken but loved! Competitive traditional fighter or areana, both have "cheese"
@alwuhugaming I agree. Spopo, Zarbon and Jeice are definitely not super common. Adult Gohan I'm not sure yet (he's excellent tho). Recoome seems to be widely respected by the community haha
Been watching your videos and I started using SSJ Gohan , never would have thought he was so good. I've beat so many insta sparking players will just a simple combo into Masenko
Yeah, that or make the timer 600s instead of 360s. Or do both!! But the aggressive health regen raises the stakes of letting your opponent switch out. So it really incentivizes aggressive hands cuz then if you don’t stop the switch… you know the health regen will be insane
People complaining about super counters really makes me mad lol. Thank you for a very practical look at this game. Everytime i see someone complaining about sparking 0, Im sending them this video.
Gohan with the spouse abuse in the beginning. 😱 Jokes aside, I completely agree man with your mindset! All of the whinging about “cheesiness” is lame. Just enjoy getting better at the game win or lose. Cheers!
Bro Thank you Everything you said at the beginning was true Sparking Zero has so many defensive options I can’t see how anyone is useless Giant characters are also some of the easiest characters to beat You can out maneuver and ult right in their face Every character in this game is viable as hell
Your content is simply amazing plus your advice is almost always "play like the anime fights are" like when I watch Goku vs Frieza, both are just relentlessly pummeling each other with most "rounds" in those fights being heavily sided at one side. Like Frieza dominates Goku until Goku turns SS and even then Frieza holds up, but burns him out while Goku does not burn out, so in the end he is stronger. And in no anime fight of DBZ I have seen they spammed supers or ultimates. Those were mostly used once at points where it made sense on a tactical level. Also ki bolt spamming is lore accurate for Vegeta lol
Totally agree on the lower DP characters not needing nerfs, as long as you adapt to their gimmick they become a free kill honestly. also congrats for using a super at last 😂
My thing when people complain about low dp cheesy characters is, if you're gonna complain about low dp characters why are you playing dp in the 1st place? Not everyone wants to play only 2 characters in a dp team, people want to win so they make 4 or 5 dp teams. When people complain about the opposition having too many characters on their team its simply a skill issue.
the problem is ppl wanting to sweat indeed, DP battle would be a lot more fun if the timer wasnt such a big factor in strategies, maybe THEN we'd get some actual character variety instead of android, recomme, roshi, videl. Currently playing less characters is a big disadvantage when it rlly shouldn't be for a game like this
I personally only play 5/5/5 4/5/6 7/4/4 etc. I play DP because i want relatively balanced teams. I think the problem would be solved simply by the max # of players in the team be 4 or making healing more limited when swapped/raise time limit.
Hey. Really appreciate your videos on this game, I've been binging them lately. I feel like Vegta (super) and God Vegeta have been underrated, especially base Vegeta here. He gets explosive wave and instant sparking, and I find a lot of people get tripped up on SSG's God Shine Attack. I really liked playing Majin Vegeta lately some especially since I've seen you and a few other youtubers using him, and it also made me try Vegeta blue since he's also got the self destruct ultimate, although it only deals 20k on self instead of reducing you to 1hp, and he's got the high dp cost so he can deal with giants and Broly. Vegeta (super) in supee saiyan has been pretty trash though, I cant use him to save my life. Anyway love the videos man keep them up!
I like this format a lot more than most. Usually a video is just "I don't think it's cheesy, I'm Z GT rank or whatever and I use (Character) just fine and beat (X Tactic). You don't see pros struggling.... Hmm what else was I gonna say, anyway that's why" However here the analysis along the video really shows it being implemented and the reasoning on why it's implemented, what it solves and ways to achieve said tactic. And isn't a one and done situation.
Exactly what I've been thinking lately but I couldn't analyze deeper because my actual skill is average at best. I believe this game has a pretty thick wall for casuals to get into competitive and it's that kind of wall people would see at higher level in other fighting games. For short, people usually meet the "cheese" once they dive deep into the mechanics yet in this game "the cheese" is something you'd meet shortly after hitting basic level. That's why we see tons of complains from average players because they aren't used to hit that wall, and since the wall comes from (and somehow "for") the lower levels, players with higher levels are back to simply having fun because obviously they've already managed to break that wall.
The only cheesy thing about the game not to many ppl talk about is the trunks tech there is no real counter play behind it bc ppl say oh just super counter but super counters is what gets you into a vanish battle in the first place for them to even get the tech off and then second the say oh revenge counter but when you revenge counter that puts you in negative frames for them to just combo you all over again then you have to super counter or hold the damage. That being said the trunks and tapion tech needs to be nerfed
I watched like 2 videos of yours and you opened my mind up to what this game is actually asking players to do which is just get over the cheese. I played UFC 4 a shit ton like 2k hours and got DIV 20 had to deal with knee and elbow spammers, leg kick cheese all types of things but you have to counter it there’s always a way to counter it. But you have to open your mind and play very strategically. I just got this game 2 weeks ago now and I’ve learned a shit Tom I can already tell imma be nasty I just need some time to learn all the mechanics and get right. It’s always cool seeing different players strategies and unique combos like the sweep into a backwards dragon dash to a z burst dash was nasty im definitely going to be practicing that one.
I play spopovich, Super Garlic, LSSJ broly z. I love getting hate mail saying "it's better to run base broly, there are way better 2 dp, there are WAAAY better 4 dp reeeeee" I like throwing hands, so I put on 3 big dudes and run it
Thats cheese but I'll honestly take that over boring ass SZ with it's short timer and stall strats coupled with easy ass defensive mechanics that lead to no satisfying fights WHATSOEVER
@luigiwiiUU so, you prefer a game in which you can't do anything to counter your opponent, over other game in which you have a lot of deffensive options to deal with the offense. Ok
hard agree on all of your points, i feel like alot of people are too quick to call a game bad or cheesy just because they havent found a way to beat a brainless strat and that angers them in my opinion its GOOD that sparking zero has mechanics in it that can get a player out of infinite combos or unblockable supers etc. it feels more dynamic and strategic that way. in other fighters alot of the time the second you get opened up 1 time against a good player you’ve pretty much already lost the match. glad they didnt make this game that way
Here comes some storytime with some good counter meta insight: So after being cheesed on in singles by the biggest offender which is insta-spark unblockables for weeks, I decided to lab and search for counters, and found some very interesting ones: 1.-Skills, like Afterimage, the 3 bar cheesy one, will vanish a raw unblockable. Afterimage, the regular 2 bar one, vanishes one attack only and can vanish an raw unblockable super. Wild sense, it can also vanish a raw unblockable. Now, what is interesting about this 3 techniques, is that they have no long startup or an animation at all, meaning that you can do them ON REACTION when they throw the unblockable on you, if there is a little distance between you, you can get your wild sense/afterimage mashing it, no timing required and will vanish the super 10/10 of the times. If the oponent does raw super as close as possible to you, you can mash your skill and can still vanish the super but like 3/10 times, so keep at least a little distance between. 2.- Beam clash, yeah, an often ignored mechanic, is the beat counter I have found to point blanc unblockables. But there is a trick, you need a really fast startup beam super or sometimes explosive type supers can win. The best example I could find was Super Broly berserk form, his ult (the ones he starts puking ki all over the place) comes super fast, I would dare to say is top 3 fastest ultimates to come out, even the animation suggests that his beam is already out the moment the initial cinematic ends, so you can do it ON REACTION to raw unblockable supers on you, you gotta be in sparking prior of course, mash that ult when they start theirs and their cinematic is playing, ,simple as that, then all you have to do is win the beam clash mini game, which I assure you, the majority of cheesers dont even know how to play it and will lose it. That being said, the only two supers that I could find that can do this reliably are (tested on Z broly unblockable, Beerus, and FP Jiren): Super Broly berserk, has a success rate of 100% to clash on reaction point blanc or at little distance. Galick gun, any Vegeta or sword Trunks works, even if it is a refular super, it can clash against ultimates and win the minigame. Galick gun for some reason comes a little faster than any regular beam, kamehameha for example, there is not regular or ult version that can come out fast enought to clash on reaction. Galick gun goated. Success rate point blanc 50%, with a little distance 100% (kamehamehas not even at little distance can clash, startup too long). Explosive wave supers like Kefla base and SSJ2, kale berserk and so on (not majin vegeta cause his' is slow). Sucess rate point blanc 30% (low chance), at a little distance 70%, and funny enought, at mid and long distance they will always lose and not clash, 0%. Feel free to test which other supers can clash against unblockables at close distances. And yeah, here I was hyped up cause of my discovery, I didnt search this up, I genuenily thought about it while eating my cereal lol. And it worked at some extend and wanted to try it online, I was thinking the game wasnt as trashy as I thought, and I got on singles ranked...picked SSJ sword Trunks from DBS, first fight, a Beerus (of course) my time to test had come, and what do you know, as soon as the beerus player got 3 skill bars, got into insta spark raw, got close to le spamming ki blast and did a raw unblockable (all this insta spark cheeser share one collective braincell), I wasnt even in sparking but had my 3 ki bars ready and mashed my galick gun, and the beam clash started! I won the minigame since I practiced the crap outta this one, then the Beerus ate a 10k supers and was standing there in disbelief with cero ki, you can tell this was the first time this happened to him and against a regular super nonetheless, I dragon burst onto him started to combo him and yep, there it was, the rage quit pop up...😑, I found useful tech that actually worked and wenr from fully excited to utterly disgusted in 2 seconds...🤮. Thats when I found out, that the number one problem they need to tackle is the huge rage quit problem this game has. Some slight adjustments to certain extremely opressive tactics will be welcomed, but please just fix the rage quit issue, punish it or at least give the winner points and substract from the quitter. I wont play singles or DP ranked until the patch if they fix thr RQ that is. Until then, only offline with hommies every now and then. Player match also doesnt do the trick for me until they implement quick match for that one, it is a very clunky experience at the moment.
at this point the only member of the Low-DP Gang that annoys me is Roshi, mostly due to THE KID GLOVES BEING OFF, LIGHTNING SURPRISE ATTACK. If you could recover faster from it so it's harder to chain multiple, It'd be fine, IMO. Really the only thing I think need some nerfs are : Giants shouldn't get a damage boost while in sparking, doing braindead 10k combos is insane Ki-blast Spamming in Sparking is counterable but extremely annoying and when the main counter for something is 'Don't get caught in that situation in the first place', I think there's an issue. There's a few other things that I think would be good, like, returning the Ki Charge Debuff to Instant Sparking Skills, or making False Courage not a cutscene, but those two are the only things that I think are really necessary. At least in DP battle.
also more tip im trying to understand it more but : So the speed of our movement from long range and close range speed- knowing when i enter that zone- i can start combos within that distance- like you know- but when your long range starts ki blast when too far from opponent. Getting better at that i wonder how ill fight level up! lol GOOD LUCK guy
yep dude one stong suit and they lose, i want them to keep fighting me, get better learn, im moving slowly, so effectly beautiful when they make the decisions- i like this early on now though and now beautiul video bro hell yeah
, in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber i fought a Super Vegito and slapped him with combos and making him WASTE his After image lol and- so funny😆i really do hope they keep fighting i want alot of chill fights or extreme fights with peeps.

@@alwuhugaming Talk to em! 🗣️🔥
Only thing wrong with DP battle is the time limit, it needs to be 600.
100% agreed. And maybe nerf the health regen. Maybe don’t let them regen a second time lol
I believe in Tenkaichi health only regenerated on the last bar. The main purpose to switch was ki regeneration.
Years later and that doesn’t seem too bad.
You know what would be nice that 600 time sounded good but how about infinite time for those how don't want a match to end by timeout
This is a long one so tl;dr at the bottom
You are correct in that each meta in the game has a "counter" but when people say the game is cheesy they aren't using your definition of cheese.
On the contrary, MvC2 cheese with Magneto is not as difficult as you'd imagine. Months or years, certainly not. 2 weeks, maybe.
Bro I swear ppl are starting to revenge counter me to make sure I don't get free sparking set ups, I was already using this for a pretty long while before I had ppl consistently start doing it to me lol I feel these players are watching your videos, keep it up man I love watching these

LETS GET TO 50 LETS GO
I really like the parts of your videos where you talk about the game and break certain characters down.

Bro really just played the anime Spopovich vs Videl fight and thought we wouldn't notice
Planning on being somewhat of a gaming TH-camr im unemployed atm which gives me the perfect opportunity you are inspiring young man 🎉😊❤
im so grateful to you my man. watching your videos and how you do your combos, learning from you how to actually play and throw hands i made it to S5. i did make it up there with ssj4 gogeta but i dont use supers at all. ive beaten S3's and S2's with hands and knowledge from ur vids. mixing up combos, using revenge counters, neutral/charged attacks are a big game changer for me, the constant pressure i apply not letting these higher ranks get their instant sparking is funny they just try and do it in ur face, they dont know how to actually block just use supers, but since i learned from u to practice my vanishes i can evade all these unblockable ults, supers, and dashes. thank you
Useful tips as always.
Thank you!
Because the average Dragon Ball fan has an IQ of 75
dude, when you have street fighter pro players telling you this is a cheesey game, you can't respond with "i feel like a good bit of Sparking Zero's playerbase hasn't really played a fighting game competitively", i was happy to follow this channel but you'all are becoming delusional, trying to get good and play around it is one thing, becoming delusional and rejecting reality is another
I have over 1100 hours on street fighter 3 3rd strike and this game is indeed cheesy as fuck. its not about getting good, its about cheesy players having this much of an advantage with some characters that you have to be substantially better just to have a chance. cheesy playstyles have always been a thing in fighting games but this time they are literally op while commonly that kind of playstyle are just noob abusers.
AND instant sparking has no flaws or punishments for how powerful and game changing it is
Got a sub from me. So educational. I’m learning not just by your amazing commentary but just watching how you play. Keep it up man.
Some of the best sparking zero videos out here. I’m S4 in DP and had a really good series of matches with a Z rank, he beat me 2/3 times but I got one win. Took a LOT from this video, thanks a ton!

PLEASE make character breakdowns a series. i didn’t consider adult gohan strong at all until i watched you explain why he was so good now i consider him a top 10 DP character.
there are alot of creators simply saying why a certain skill is strong or whatever but you literally broke down everything to how his combo can be used as a tool for setups and how well he flows, i havent seen anyone do that.

yes everything has counter play thats what im trying to tell people all the time..
thats in dp mode..
in single its harder to counter..
the best thing to do in single mode is to force the ITEM MECHANICS.. and adjust the item slot of each character depending of thier dp value...
10dp= 3 item slot only
1-2 dp= 7 slots
somethinh like this
you can just afterimage or blink brolys ultimate easy just dont let him combo you hard

Randomly click a Sparking video and surprised to see a Froggish friend discussing the game
Love the content chill vibes keep it up
Awesome video! Your advice has been helping me ALOT
Yessir!!
Because of you I main Adult Gohan.
Appreciate your content. Subbed.
Big brain commentating tbh. Thanks for this!!!
The Videl just didn't know how to super counter.
A normal interaction like that would end up in a vanish battle which gives her a bunch of skill counts to easily go afterimage strike on you.
And this Z player clearly didn't know how to vanish a super.
That Masenko would not hit many people.
agreed this video apparently has all this depth but it actually lacks the truth
thankfully instant spark ki blast spam handles her pretty easily
@@luigiwiiUU ^^^exactly that.
Thats her actual counter.

Rage quitting definitely a massive issue that unfortunately my analysis videos cannot help combat 😂
So muchc insight here!!!! Never would've thought that you could counter pick in Sparking Zero
Bro started the video with domestic violence 💀
The reason people say they hate this game for cheese
Is because it doesn't really require any brain thought process, unblocking ult into sparking into another ult
Those other fighting games "cheese"
Was the very skilled players eventually finding a way to break the game unlike sparking it's pretty fast to learn.
For real… people act like other fighters don’t have broken things. If anything, wayyy more than sparking has
Thank you for the good content. Overlooked dp characters video would blow you up and be very interesting. Saiiiiiibaaaa!
I plan to make that video! I’d say my entire team is an underrated DP characters lol. With the exception of Recoome
@alwuhugaming
I agree. Spopo, Zarbon and Jeice are definitely not super common. Adult Gohan I'm not sure yet (he's excellent tho). Recoome seems to be widely respected by the community haha
"All the ladies in the house can catch these hands" lmao
People complaining about “cheese” are the same ones complaining about hacking in COD….just be honest with yourself and learn the game.
Been watching your videos and I started using SSJ Gohan , never would have thought he was so good. I've beat so many insta sparking players will just a simple combo into Masenko
You forgot one important thing “most players don’t like learning “
I would like DP battle more if the health regen was toned down. Makes fights take forever and hardly ever win by KOing all their characters
Everytime i see someone complaining about sparking 0, Im sending them this video.
the first sparking zero PhD has hit the ranked ladder

Jokes aside, I completely agree man with your mindset! All of the whinging about “cheesiness” is lame. Just enjoy getting better at the game win or lose. Cheers!
Bro
Thank you
Everything you said at the beginning was true
Sparking Zero has so many defensive options I can’t see how anyone is useless
Giant characters are also some of the easiest characters to beat
You can out maneuver and ult right in their face
Every character in this game is viable as hell
Lmao dude I knew you were the funny face guy! I’m a adult Gohan main too I play him Goten, base super Goku and kid Trunks
Totally agree on the lower DP characters not needing nerfs, as long as you adapt to their gimmick they become a free kill honestly. also congrats for using a super at last 😂
Proof that Broly is cheesy… making me need to actually use a super 😂 got me sweating
1:57
Master Roshi is a soft giant counter with the unblockable lightning attack and After Image Strike.
Usually a video is just
"I don't think it's cheesy, I'm Z GT rank or whatever and I use (Character) just fine and beat (X Tactic). You don't see pros struggling.... Hmm what else was I gonna say, anyway that's why"
However here the analysis along the video really shows it being implemented and the reasoning on why it's implemented, what it solves and ways to achieve said tactic.
That being said the trunks and tapion tech needs to be nerfed
gohan going crazy on his wife in the first clip 💀
This was an amazing breakdown
Thank you!
@alwuhugaming no problem it's was just really well done
THIS! I've been saying this since the beginning. Everybody needs to just get good at sparking zero- it's combos are minimal, but that's it's beauty.
Thank you bro . I've just subscribed
That's crazy. you're telling me that I should learn the match up and adapt accordingly, rather than complain about nerfing already weak characters. 🤯
No! I think weak characters need to be NERFED HARDER CUZ I CANT BEAT THEM WAHHHH WAHHH 😫😫😫
Im the rare pokemon that plays giants in single battles...not to win but to be a public nuisance
Perfectly valid reason to play giants. Need a good trolling every once in a while
Bro im so glad to see someone else using Spopo in dp battles
I cant watch the canon spopovich vs videl fight 😭😭

Thats why i always say the skill ceiling is so high. a lot of annoying playstyles but thers almost always an answer
First sparking player with a healthy mindset
I play spopovich, Super Garlic, LSSJ broly z. I love getting hate mail saying "it's better to run base broly, there are way better 2 dp, there are WAAAY better 4 dp reeeeee"
I like throwing hands, so I put on 3 big dudes and run it
The fact that someone thinks that MVC, one of the most broken and cheesy fg's franchises ever, it's more fair than SZ just blow my mind
The comment is somewhere in my videos lmaooo. It’s crazy
its definitely more fun than SZ
@@luigiwiiUU yeah, sure; being lock on an infinite it's really fun, or try to block unblockeable set up's, or deal with assist spam
Ok
hard agree on all of your points, i feel like alot of people are too quick to call a game bad or cheesy just because they havent found a way to beat a brainless strat and that angers them
in my opinion its GOOD that sparking zero has mechanics in it that can get a player out of infinite combos or unblockable supers etc. it feels more dynamic and strategic that way. in other fighters alot of the time the second you get opened up 1 time against a good player you’ve pretty much already lost the match. glad they didnt make this game that way
Here comes some storytime with some good counter meta insight:
So after being cheesed on in singles by the biggest offender which is insta-spark unblockables for weeks, I decided to lab and search for counters, and found some very interesting ones:
1.-Skills, like Afterimage, the 3 bar cheesy one, will vanish a raw unblockable.
That being said, the only two supers that I could find that can do this reliably are (tested on Z broly unblockable, Beerus, and FP Jiren):
Super Broly berserk, has a success rate of 100% to clash on reaction point blanc or at little distance.
Really the only thing I think need some nerfs are :
Giants shouldn't get a damage boost while in sparking, doing braindead 10k combos is insane
Ki-blast Spamming in Sparking is counterable but extremely annoying and when the main counter for something is 'Don't get caught in that situation in the first place', I think there's an issue.
There's a few other things that I think would be good, like, returning the Ki Charge Debuff to Instant Sparking Skills, or making False Courage not a cutscene, but those two are the only things that I think are really necessary. At least in DP battle.
I already knew I'm bad but thanks for the reminder 😂
Here’s another reminder… you can be better!! Goes for anything in life ;)
@alwuhugaming yeah sure!! I like to play with stronger people, one day I'll reach them/you
also more tip im trying to understand it more but :
So the speed of our movement from long range and close range speed- knowing when i enter that zone- i can start combos within that distance- like you know- but when your long range starts ki blast when too far from opponent. Getting better at that i wonder how ill fight level up! lol GOOD LUCK guy
Id like to see you coach Dotodoya in a collab video, seeing him play equipped with your knowledge would be sick
Haha if he’s willing to, that would be fun. His energetic demeanor will balance out my more quiet demeanor 😂
yep dude one stong suit and they lose, i want them to keep fighting me, get better learn, im moving slowly, so effectly beautiful when they make the decisions- i like this early on now though and now beautiul video bro hell yeah
i literally did this type of fighting on DP as well so that's hilarious
, in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber i fought a Super Vegito and slapped him with combos and making him WASTE his After image lol and- so funny😆i really do hope they keep fighting i want alot of chill fights or extreme fights with peeps.
