Great info! A couple months ago I placed my first order with Holst and tried supersoft for the first time. I loved it! Such beautiful complex colors and that amazing bloom. I live in Maine, and it arrived in under a week, which is faster delivery than many places in the states. I will definately be a repeat customer.
I am also a huge fan of Holst and order from Denmark directly. It usually takes 10-14 days to reach Vancouver Island and the shipping costs are lower than ordering from stores in Canada. I also like to support Canadian producers but can only afford that for special projects. I look forward to seeing all your Holst (and other) projects.
I can't stop looking at my new purchases. It really is wonderful. I can't wait to start working with all my new colours.

I am almost finished with my first Supersoft sweater. I held it double with Ito Sensai. I can't wait to block to see the yarn in it's full glory. The colors you bought are beautiful.
I appreciated your sharing of your Holst experience. I've seen other podcasters use this yarn and they have the same comments about it that you do. I have never tried it, but would like to sometime.
I highly recommend it and the price is amazing if you order directly from the store in Denmark.

Yarn packages are wonderful indeed! You mentioned that Holst cones are often overweight, so how does that affect the shipping? Surely sometimes the package you figure will be just under say 1 kg, but an overweight cone could easily push the package into the next postage price category.
That is a great questions that I never considered. Even though I fill my cart to almost 2kg they only price it at that level (and I am sure it is over). It seems to slip through the system and arrive at my door in about 2 weeks. It is probably faster if you don't live 8 hours away from a major city center like I do.
I have purchased from Nutiden; she says to allow a little weight for their often overweight plates of yarn. Good to know re the Holst cones. One day I'll try their yarn. @@mywonderfulknittinglife
I love the purple yarn, and the sock yarns. What's your favorite yarn on there website?
I love all of their yarns but my favourite so far is the supersoft knit with Titicaca. It is beautiful and a good price.
