love this series so much. I never thought it was possible to anthropomorphize plants, but here we are - I love the "personalities" and "history". I love Brad's Giant's story of being the creepy lab grown mutant so much. Poor peaches. Here I was hoping shed show those fancy cultivars that typicals are worthy competitors. I dont think it should count as a miss penalty since it was outside interference - if youre playing football and someone runs on the field, grabs the ball and runs off with it, the team with the ball isnt penalized. It should have just been considered neither a miss or catch, imho. I like the new board.
you could do natural selection with many traps by feeding them hard to catch large prey only like wasps, bees beetles, large spiders so insects that are strong and could escape. This way only the largest and strongest traps will survive to breed with each other and thus you will create a new breed that could specialize in larger stronger prey. After a few generations you could even upgrade to small vertebrates like small frogs forcing the traps to further evolve maybe you got have a 12 cm to 15cm trap that could catch mice. The power of selective breeding and natural selection.
This is one of my favorite series on youtube rn. It's just not something you see that makes it so interesting. But I will say I liked the old leader board more than this one in this episode. It was just easier to read. Like it said what kinds of flies were caught and this one does to but it's alot harder to read. But keep up the great vids bro. ❤
The reason it was a miss for her is because the second chance I gave her the fly escaped, just like they juked red in the last episode, so although the first catch was written off as it was interference from the wasp, the fly still got away in her second attempt :(
This is why I love TH-cam. Sometimes you end up going down a rabbit hole that leads you to discover an extremely well edited series on carnivorous plants that has plot lines and lore, and you find yourself rooting for these little plants to catch bugs like they're people on a high stakes drama TV show.
Wasps don't eat the bugs. They're too big for their abdomen, they chop them up to make it easier for the larvae to eat. Then, the larvae secrete some cocktail, from the bugs they eat, that the wasps drink. So, if anyone wants to know why they're so protective, that's because it's their food source.
I'm not into botany. I don't grow any plants or have a garden of any sort. I'm not terribly interested in learning about plants. Yet, I've watched several of these videos and have been enjoying them. I'm just trying to figure out why.
The wasps have been traitors. While they DO get eaten by the traps, they still get the flies for us which is nice. But seeing this video makes me think maybe the wasps have switched sides
Thats what I thought too, they were taking flies which is good but stealing catches from the plants is not good. The other thing is that when they get caught by plants they will often eat their way out or bite the traps open so I think they have definitely switched sides... luckily the spiders are on our side. They often live with the plants but get caught by the traps if they get too close
I seriously hope you can help the plants most affected negatively by the wasps and flies by supplying them with emergency beef substitutes for their survival. I had been wondering about viable substitutes that aren't insects just in case for caring for VFT in an apartment where it gets very cold, and don't have a greenhouse, but this video made me realize that this kind of situation is another reason worth knowing about substitutes for the survival of the plants.
Ever since I had a Vespula squamosa infestation in an interior wall of my house, I make it a point to trap those things and tear their wings off. Then the fun begins
hi!! i'm going to repot my plants soon and i was wondering what soil mix to use - i want to go with peat moss and sand 1:1, i read that you have to use sharp, but i can't find any sharp graded sand, only rounded ~1.2-2mm. can you please tell which sand you use in your mix? is it essential to use sharp sand and is it better to switch to perlite if I can't find one, or can i go with rounded?
I never thought I would say this but...I'm glad I went down the rabbit hole because it led to this! I felt bad for Peaches having her food stolen from the wasp. Now, I have a new respect for flytrap (along with a strong dislike for wasps and flies). Great video!
I’m going on the phone now I have a Venus flytrap For you and your dad in mom’s House and I’m not going on a date with you guys I’m not sure if I have to do it but if I have a chance to get a a lot of Venus flytrap 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I have a bog garden here in the Florida Pan Handle. I have planted various Flytraps, Sundews, and beautiful Pitcher plants. Have you ever done a video on digging tiny flytraps from the garden and planting them in other containers.

I love how you present your channel like a reality show, complete with all the drama! But better than a “reality” show.
I DECLARE WAR ON FLIES AND WASPS!
Totally agree!
ATTACK FLIES I DECLARE WAR ON EVERY FLY AND BUG
SEND EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER ON THE WAR
I agree
With livvie

With that explanation, it is both the wasp's food source and their children. or Are you talking about the fly's children?

Are you okay ?
You alright?

I love how you give all the plants personality and backstory … ur so creative I love it so much
Murderous or not, this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen
Yay!!! I’ve been waiting for these! I told my hubby and all my friends about your channel ❤❤❤ keep up the awesome work ❤❤❤
Thank you!
How did I start watching a channel about anthropomorphised Venus fly traps catching flies?
These are strange days
Transmission: Flytrap Republic have declared war on Fly Union and Wasp Empire.
As an Albanian I like this video
JUSTICE FOR PEACHES
YES JUSTICE FOR PEACHES!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Justice
Idea: You should add a Pitcher Plant as a mystery plant and the fly army does not know how to face this new foe. (And keep the leader board)
Flys: *Don't want to be eaten*
Everyone: This. Means. War.
I can't comment so I can reply though
1:21 that fly is screaming for help
If you ever get a montage of wasps getting caught together I would watch that several times.
I did not expect a fly trap tournament to get this dramatic
I’m trying to get over my fear of flies so that’s why I’m watching this. Wish me luck.
Update one minute and 11 minutes and couldn’t do it to disgusting
Ever since I had a Vespula squamosa infestation in an interior wall of my house, I make it a point to trap those things and tear their wings off. Then the fun begins
You have no idea how much I look forward to these videos.
Holy moly. I have seen this rabbit hole and it’s good.
I just dropped into this series. It looks to have deeper lore than Fnaf.
”The wasp started to unalive the fly”
Magnificient put! 😊😅
I just found a short about how wasps can get out of flytraps and now I find this?!
Heck yeah! New channel
😮
Didn't come here expecting to see a war, but I'm here for it
I wonder which venus fly trap is gonna be the next newcomer! My guess its gonna be B52
thats why I use pliers to feed my traps. the trap won't close without getting its meal. I would have took the wasp aswell and fed it to a trap

This just goes to show how vicious wasps are compared to their other bee-like cousins. Stay safe, everyone!
Im pretty late to this episode, but i was surprised to see red get back to the better places in the leaderboard.
I never thought I'd feel emotional over a plant but here we are
Those flytraps are so awesome they’ are so hungry for flys 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Ahhh good to know that crazy yt content is still a thing :)
Great entertainment!
This is instresting, nice, with very nice fly trap. This is beautiful.
Wasps eat flies, if the plants catch it that's extra nutrients for the traps.
When I was on the farm I would see bees and wasps snatch flies up and take them away! Probably back to the hive! Food for the larvae!
This shit amazing to watch while baked💀
Great vid
Keep up the good work 😊
The lore is kinda like balloons tower defense. Just instead of monkies and balloons, its flys and flytraps 😂
This is a awasome series i love the content to the narration.
How did those wasps die? Poison?
1:22 fly: heLp meEeeEe
Any advice for buying a venus fly trap that works, as I had one last summer and it never caught one fly despite them coming indoors
@TheFlytrapGarden do you know where i can get sundews I dont know if Amazon is the best area to get them.

4:42 iam actully kinda sad for that fly😢😅
Yellow Jacket vs flies
9:57 this part is familiar with a youtube short that says that this is the dumbest wasp
So…. Are these plants sentient???
The fly that ultimately killed peaches didn’t know that it would kill her plus he was only acting in self defense.
Why do mismatches kill them if no mold?
CROSSTOOTH CROSSTOOTH

Not much comments
How do they eat after they kill the fly with the acid
What’s the plant called??
I have a question,Why do my new little flytraps green and not red inside? Is if because I don’t have them in the sun enough?
No it’s fine don’t worry my ones also has green in them but I think they have to be exotic to be red
Do flytraps even like drops of blood?
I’m going on the phone now I have a Venus flytrap

BRAD’S GIANT !!!!!!
The wasp got stuck in the web and catching a fly
Peaches is Krillin
😮😮This video needs to be rated R for violence.
More than anything, I'm tripped out by the adult hand writing like a five-year-old.
I used to have a venus fly trap but it died, reason: idk?
