Maybe it’s just because I’ve been down but I don’t find your content depressing at all. I think it’s actually uplifting to see someone struggling with similar things to me pushing through and challenging themselves. And I can also understand why being that person online could cause you to need breaks and I hope you keep taking them as needed! Thank you for being a friend to so many :)

It’s so refreshing to watch someone who is finding their way through life’s ups and downs. My mum passed away at Christmas and so I can relate to this video so much…..2023 has been my most challenging year so far and just getting up each morning is a challenge. Chelsea, as someone who has recently lost their partner, suddenly and unexpectedly, the realness in your videos is of great comfort. Grief is teaching me a lot of things, but one of those things is how powerful and necessary it is to face and to sit with ourselves -- through all emotions. I appreciate the authenticity and down-to-earth nature of/in your videos and know that it isn't something many can or do provide on any platform. Thank you for being honest about both your lows and your highs and for allowing us to share in them

I came to New York as a student last year, it was my first time in the US and also the first time living alone in a studio. It was quite intimidating in the beginning but now I just love this life. This city has something to offer to everyone. I also travelled alone to SF, Vegas, Boston, Pittsburg and Chicago. Mental health is so important. I to have recently slowed WAY down on my drinking (like 94%) and it's hard finding wholesome activities to participate in when living in a party, college city. I love watching your videos because it reminds me how important it is to be proactive with our mental health. Living alone and being single can be hard but it does offer such a powerful opportunity to really get to know oneself and grow as a person. May sound weird but I'm down to make a new virtual friend who is going through a similar life stage as me. Here if you ever wish to chat. Keep on being awesome Lady 👍

Hi. Been really enjoying your videos lately! I found one of them recently and today binge watched a few to catch up. Thank you algorithm for putting you on my main page when I open the app.
I don’t find your videos depressing at all, I find them very enjoyable to watch. And someone I can relate to.
As far as the question from this video, the biggest challenge I recently had was leaving an extremely toxic company at the end of April. I had been at the job overall for 8 years, but that was with the previous company….til the toxic one completely took over about a year ago. I am very proud of myself for getting up the courage to leave and not continue to be treated so horribly. Now I am in a new job that so far I am liking.

Don’t feel bad about having more “depressing” videos! ❤ We enjoy seeing a realistic, vulnerable part of your life living in NYC. That’s not to say you should feel like you need to involve your audience in on everything…but don’t feel bad about being depressing/depressed. Life is full of ups and downs, and it helps for people to get to see themselves in the content they watch. Happy go lucky TH-cam videos are a dime a dozen, but someone being real, and talking about their feelings (good and bad)…that’s something special!

I really admire your doing these videos. Reminds me of my younger days (which unfortunately were a looong time ago). You're pretty, you're smart, articulate, you have a good heart and a good head on your shoulders. You are above all realistic and accepting that nothing in life is certain. I always say enjoy the little things in life because the big things are too few and far between to make a difference. You show you are enjoying the little things. Keep up the good work. I always look forward to seeing these videos. 😉

I love that you are so down to earth and tell it like it is. Be yourself that's the advice that I would give you.I am just wondering if there is a possibility that you could move from another apartment? Just thinking if more light and another space would make you more happy? Cause I can totally relate and of course it takes time. I am 52 years old and manifested when I was like in 6th grade how my life would have been and it did. Of course it takes time and you will get there. I am glad you're feeling much better. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I would recommend selling the couch and getting a comfortable chair. It will give you more space and make your apartment work for you. As a fellow introvert, it can be difficult to design an apartment for our needs, and not for what we think it should look like for other people.

I've really been challenging myself my whole life but the past few years have been intense. My son moved out of home in 2018 and I decided to go to uni and study writing so I could try and become a 'digital nomad'. I also started my own business doing tours and private airport shuttles. Then COVID. Business died, moved from the country to the city, changed universities, had several articles published and lots of full on stuff. I'm 55 and now I have a new career doing comms and events for the philanthropy department of the university I go to. I have two subjects to go next semester and then I will graduate at the end of this year. Oh, and I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2020. We survive don't we! Love to you from Australia xx

You are such a beautiful soul, and a strong woman - please do not feel bad about not keeping up with your videos - we miss you when you're gone, but we're always so happy when you post a new video😄!! I definitely resonate with you on being a true/deep introvert, having anxiety (fun!), and occasionally pushing myself to experience something new in life. That is sooooo important!! Life is a highway (or a rollercoaster - whatever term you choose), and there will always be ups and downs - and the fact that you are soooo open and vulnerable in your videos...I absolutely admire you for that! I am a very private person, and I even have a difficult time telling my friends/family when I am struggling with my mental health - but that's my problem, hahah! As I write this I am currently experiencing anxiety/depression, and I am fighting my way through it so I don't get too down in the trenches. But like you did, I need to find / do something that will put a pause on this, or maybe even give me a new perspective on life. So, THANK YOU so much for posting about your anxiety, my heart goes out to you - and you're not alone! 💓 Always looking forward to your next video... take as much time as you need between posting videos. Your health comes first.

I swear every time I watch your videos I am reminded of myself. Definitely not depressing although I understand how it feels that way. It seems like a rut but it’s not because you’re living, striving, and trying to make each day something new. And all you do you are doing for yourself. Yeah, there are moments like having that Friday feeling but no where to go and nothing to do, but then fulfill yourself with relaxing in bed and reading. Then times like that are balanced out by the fun and beauty you experienced the next day. Then who what’s what the next day will bring, but it’s for sure you’ll make something positive out of it. Thank you for sharing your experiences. It’s inspiring me so much to focus more on my own self care.

Hello! I've been watching for a few months now. I don't know how I found your channel but I'm greatful I did.
We are the same person (but different in our own ways.) I would definitely be your friend irl.
I'm at the part where you say your content is depressing. I wanted to come tell you I greatly appreciate your authentic content; please don't be anything other than what you are+living+experiencing.
I am midlife. You are voicing and living so much of what I am. I thought I was alone in the way I feel and experience life+work. Because of a series of events in my life, I thought it was me, I'm doing something wrong, I'm broken, or whatever, but watching you live the same life and feel the same way, in a different part of America, makes me feel better. I wish I could put it into better words.
Side note, I quit drinking bc I had to, almost 6 years ago. I am proud of you for putting down the alcohol, to whatever degree, and trying a different lifestyle.
Alcohol is a depressant, along with making you feel terrible afterwards, it's low-vibe, and is super expensive. It adds to poor mental health.
I am very sorry you are experiencing bad mental health at times. We are not supposed to live the way the world system is currently designed, it's not you ❤ it's a reflection of the times, I believe.

Hi Chelsea I found your videos a few months ago, and as someone who has dealt with anxiety/ panic attacks since I was in the 5th grade I understand how difficult it is to get yourself going and doing the things that are difficult on a daily basis such as even getting out of bed and going to work. I just went through a huge life change with a big move for my husbands job and have been struggling with an increase in anxiety and wondering what the heck is wrong with me. Why can’t I just do the things I need to do? Ya know what I mean! But thank you for showing the reality of how life is for a 30 something with anxiety, and single life supporting yourself. Remember take each moment one step at a time and some days one minute or hour at a time.

the last time I really pushed myself (might seem really small) was to ask my co-worker/friend for a (friend) date and they were really happy about it - and so was I. I try to make a conscious effort to surround myself with people whose presence I value and who also value my presence.

I‘m going through it right now, but girl you made my day🖤
Just found your channel a few weeks ago, and when you mentioned loving to make your bed I started to smile, same here, people don’t get it most of the time…and then (I’m not in to star sign stuff at all☝️), but I usually check the time at 21:09, too.
    It’s also my birthday 🎉
So if anyone has to hear it today: even at the lowest points we are able to smile for a second. We are more complex and multifaceted as humans.
I’m not a native speaker, but I hope, I get my point across 🙃
Thanks for taking us with you🖤

I don't live alone, but I feel alone. My 2 kids are grown and out of the house. My youngest is in HS and I hardly see her. My husband works a lot and we don't have a great relationship, so I'm reinventing myself. I struggle with mental health issues too and find your content real and uplifting.

So here I am, watching your videos and feeling less alone. Btw I went to a concert for my birthday, on my own (ny band fun fact) and it was an amazing experience and really great fun, I still can't get over it 😅 Love to you from Poland ❤

I lived in Illinois from 2013 to 2019. Coming back home to Australia to live is amazing as I live with the beaches, mountains and lakes around me. But it took a toll on my mind and body with the change of other side of world and time change etc. U don't realise how much the change effects your whole self. But I started walking around the beaches etc getting back into the Australian groove and now I it's great!

I don't think there is any problem with this vlog and I am so glad to see you in these moments of happiness and energy after hte concert!
As you asked, here it is, my challenge: this year, after making a vow during the pandemic, that if the same political party wins on the elections in my home country, that has been in power for 12 years, I will leave the country, I have left my home country and moved to a country not that far away from my home. This is because I do not stand for anything that political party has been doing to my country for the last decade and I tried to change it but couldn't. And life is short.
In the new country I know the language, I have been working in foreign companies all my life anyway, the culture is not really different. But man, it was still so stressful to move!
I had a pretty stable life at home and felt like it is a mistake that I am destroying the life I've built up just to prove a point. But I still did it. And frankly, my life isn't that much more different here, so now I'm thinking why I didn't move here sooner.
Now that most of the "work" is behind me regarding the relocation, I am not sure what my goal is, where do I go from here... I don't think I will get married or have kids and I am approaching 40 like basically tomorrow. So what now? I thought I would already know by this time, if I didn't know previously, what I want to do. But it seems like the older I get, the less I know what my purpose is in this life.

I feel like I am challenging myself this year. Starting a new job, working 4 days with a toddler. I know it’ll pay off, it’s important to me but damn it’s been a toughie.
Last year was a year of physical health challenges, I had two major dental surgeries, covid - all within 6 weeks. But now, I am reaping the rewards not having the surgeries looming. So that’s a bonus and I’m glad all the hard stuff is behind me. Take each day, just keep pushing and all of a sudden you’re doing it and it’s your new normal. Love your videos .

I guess I should add that I'm , terminally ill so all I do is lay in bed.🤔 I don't know why I thought I should put don't laugh but it made me laugh for some reason I think I failed this challenge which is even funnier😂. I'm so bad at this.

Love this video as always!! I made the biggest change of my life, this month. I moved to New York City this last weekend!! Finally. I found a room on Craigslist in Brooklyn with 2 roommates, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s been a dream of mine since high school, and after turning 27, having a quarter life crisis, and lots of therapy, I’m here. Excited for this journey and what the pages in this next chapter will hold, and you and your channel have been a big inspiration in that 😌 just want to say thank you for your honest and authentic content, it’s incredibly helpful and inspiring and literally makes me feel more comfortable in my videos to show up as I am. I’m excited to keep seeing how your journey unfolds as well! Fingers crossed for that direct beam of sunlight 🤞🏻

T.J. Reed is amazing. Which other two books did you read of her? It's so impressive how the main character have these strong personalities and behave so different than other characters in other books from different authors would. Can't describe it better :D Carrie Soto is still my fav.

I challenged myself a couple of weeks ago to go out on a walk. I'm on permanent disability for OCD, and leaving my flat even to take out trash is a project, I heavily rely on ordering everything at my door, etc. It was nice weather and I missed being in the woods so I walked out. Was rewarding 🙂
