    Follow along on our Medical/Trauma Assessment sheets! [Specific tabs on bottom]
    docs.google.co... We go over the parts to operating a tank.
    The regulator and the O2 key.
    We then cover how to properly apply the regulator to the tank and crack it open with the key

    Thank you so much! I'm a First Responder at my employer, a warehouse, and I have to recertify tomorrow after skipping last year ( 2 year certificate). I was never comfortable with the air tanks and decided to look up videos for help. Four videos later and still not doing well. Found yours and now feel 100% confident in my knowledge. Thanks again!

      Same here, paid thousands to the class. The oxygen tank was only a toy...just pretended to set it up...

    Thank you for the video. We are dealing with empty tanks in my EMT class but when we test we will have full tanks so it helps to watch how to open the oxygen tank and check for leaks.

    Thank you. 🙂 My dad hasn’t needed the oxygen tank in 3 years, but I had to review today how to operate it.

    This is an excellent instructional video. The only thing that is missing is no mentioning of the part called Washer that is such an important part positioned right above the "two teeth." So this video would work as a good reminder to people who are already trained on O2 tanks but not for the beginners.

      On the contrary. Leaks that are caused by a missing O ring should not be the norm and would most likely be found after hundreds of O2 tank checks. If someone is coming across that many O ring issues, then we have a separate issue.

    Thanks very much for this! I was looking for a video to help me maintain our tanks standing with our crash cart here at my job. This is just what I needed!

    Thank you for the help. It looks like alien technology when you don't know what to do but once you know, it's very simple. It seems intuitive in terms of how the regulator lines up with the tank. Now that I know this, I can help my Mom if she goes somewhere.

    What is the flow rate on the high pressure quick connect? You have that as a high pressure and tree as a low pressure. Would the low pressure set at 25 lpm be equal to the high pressure or no?

    U have just mechanical portion. What about calculating amt of gas left or used, for alay man. Show flow calculation per division, per 1000, etc.

    Can anyone tell me what safety measure is put in place to ensure an oxygen cylinder is only filled with oxygen

    • @ChicagoEMTTraining
      @ChicagoEMTTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paula, to my knowledge, you need a medical prescription to purchase oxygen. oxygen suppliers will not sell oxygen to just anyone.
