Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon - Rare Pixelation Animations

- These are less common animations that can play when Luigi's being pixelated into some select missions that don't have unique cutscenes at the start of them. The two common ones that more often than not play out are Luigi landing on his butt, looking around with the flashlight, then getting up (this can happen in most missions in the Gloomy Manor, Old Clockworks’ boss mission, Secret Mine's second mission, and Treacherous Mansion's third mission), and the second one is Luigi landing on his feet then looking around with the flashlight (this can happen in Old Clockwork's third mission, and Treacherous Mansion's second and fifth missions).
I don't know the exact possibility of these playing, but all I know is that their chances are pretty low. Hell, it took me over an hour to get the second one in the video to show up.
Interesting. I always thought these animations were scripted with every mission, I didn’t know they were kind of random.
Me too.
X3. The Last One i Never See before and Never Believe that It was Azar
Me too
Some of them are scripted, like the first gloomy manor one or the first treacherous mansion one bit most are randomized
(thx 4 ❤️ btw)
0:41 As a kid i thought i was going to play hatless for that mission 😅
I think this is the rarest one.
@@CarterBurns08same
@@CarterBurns08same cause I've never seen that animation before
As a kid? This game can't be that old...
@@wartortle577 it’s 11 years old now 😭
I saw the hatless one right after E Gadd had told Luigi to be calm and not panic because nothing with the pixilator had ever gone wrong. So naturally somthing went wrong right after he said that lmao
Ok that's funny!
It happened like that for me too lol
I always thought the pixelator was the coolest thing ever.
And Is It But in the Last Mission (After Defeat the Armor) The Fragment of the Dark Moon Arrives to the Base but Luigi Arrives to the King Boo’s Ilusion
@@karlaGutierrez657 Well at least all of Luigi's pieces made it intact.
I’m willing to bet it’s a Tron reference to the digitizer
Wow the last one is definitely my favorite, tho sadly I don't think I have ever encountered it in-game.
I like how Luigi was slightly satisfied as he got his back.
Oh yeah, same, the fact he seems just a little more confident and satisfied for having his hat back is already a treat!
I actually did, but only once, and i played through it atleast 3 Times
Who’s here after the announcement of the remastered version?
Me
Meeee
The new animations will be so nice

they really should have done one where his mustache pixelates late.
That would've required the Devs to make the Mustache a removable part of Luigi's Model
@@ipwn6 Not necessarily, just in a specific animation. I’m assuming the hat was done that way as well, only being separated in that one pixelation animation.
0:30 | This one is kinda terrifying. Can these happen in all mansions or just certain ones?
these can happen in any mission that doesn't have a unique pixelation cutscene. so pretty much every mansion except for Haunted Towers
@@OrangeLuigi Nice! I think I may have gotten this one before on a Treacherous mission.
@@OrangeLuigi These piano keys.
Holy heck, I might've gotten one or two of these, but seeing them all together, it's stunning how easily one could miss these
Bro, what! I played the hell out of this game as a kid and never saw the hat one. Must be incredibly rare.
I think I've experienced all of these for myself, except for the one where he shows up without his hat.
The last one is my favourite. Really hope they keep it in the remake.
Correction: Remaster
@@gameomer1855Correction: Visibly Enhanced Version
@@Dewberry14 That's exactly what I said
It is
I like the one where Luigi lost his hat.
I knew about a couple of these from Chugga's playthrough and my own playing of the game but never saw the middle two. It really shows how much thought went into this game!
I have this game since... God knows how long, and a 100% save file with 157 hours. I have NEVER seen that last one!
That's amazing!
Nobody talks about the weird fuzzy creatures in the Secret Mine Cabin.
I called the gold ones (the ones the produce money when launched) my mini wallets causes i always stole from them (dont judge its revenge for always crowding me and making that damn squeak sound
@@darkvoidkirby2588 I understand. But to me they are cute and I want to stay with them forever.
@@StargazingVoidI agree. I don't know what they are but they are adorable
@@FaolanMacDuncan I looked up the name. Fuzzball.
@@StargazingVoid thats what those things are called? Doesn't make them any less cute, if anything they sound cuter
I like that they all have a unique jingle.
Wait, these aren't scripted for a specific mission?
Huh. The More You Know™.
Luigi losing his hat just reminds me of Woody in Toy Story 3 where he's also worried about his hat
Man I remember a couple of these. I played this one more compared to the other 2 Luigi's Mansion titles.
This i Played Like 20 Times and i Never see the Last…. Is Guess is the more Rare to see
The last one Luigi sounds terrified like "that could've been my head, E. Gadd did say something about all the pixels not making it through sometimes" ( i thought that where it was going but Luigi just was worried about his hat)
Hope they bring these back in the remaster
i never knew the last one
I had another kind of weird pixelator cutscenes. When you're getting transported, I got a giant white pixel in the middle of the screen the first time, larger and more colorful pixels the second time, and the huge white pixel AGAIN the third time. Are those rare? I'm sure them happening back-to-back like this is rare or something lol
Yeah, there’re some rare pixelator loading animations too
0:47 Luigi lost his hat
THE BOYS

They finally added in the switch
Peak info
Man, I never saw any of these once when I played it on the 3Ds!
These are AWESOME! I hope they get added in the remake!
Me too!
I discovered 0:41 the first time I played level C-3... on the switch remake.
I played so much on 3ds and never saw it !!! I though they made new ones for switch lol
I’ve only seen the last one once during my time of playing it and I thought I played the game a lot. What exactly are the chances of seeing these if anyone knows?
I just thought of another one--my fault for forgetting--It's the fanfare that plays when you've unlocked the Hostile Intrusion Stage in the Haunted Towers!
Luigi hat got left behind imagine if it went somewhere else
t'was wondering why lugi was so concerned about missing his hat... but i rembered he'd take more damage without it
I remember one time I played the game and Luigi didn't cower in fear while being pixelated. Is that rare or real?
weird, i got the weird "turtle shell poltergust" animation that you showed first in 2 HD on my first time going into Gear Up. I figured it was scripted, but come to think about it, i didnt get it on my 3DS copy today doing the same level. i just got really lucky on switch, i guess
Oh so the 2 I got warnet normal.... I guess the one whit out his hat is most rare
I wonder how good these look in the new HD version 🤔
I love the way Luigi is in this game😅
I wonder if they're still in the hd version
I think there is one where Luigi lands on his feet. I don’t know if it’s rare or not though.
I’ve seen all them rare ones (I got luigis mansion 2 & 3DS in 2014 and I still have it a decade later and still play it)
If these are really rare, i seen them before if so I don't get rare stuff really.
0:37 0:54
Not sure I’d call these pixelation animations rare, I them before the switch version was made.
@@jonathanhartfield533 they aren’t likely to appear often which is why they’re rare
Which one is the RAREST!?
Bro was heartbroken over his hat
I could be wrong, but I think these animations happen on the bonus missions after you beat the boss levels.
I recorded these clips on missions before the boss levels
Those are rare to find! Do that on the remaster, aka Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and save them as screen recordings. Also, don’t forget to put them in the movie maker.
Wow!
How do u get these animations? Is it after you completed the levels?
@@jackmyers2649 they can happen on ur first playthrough of a mission and every other time afterward
I Never Knew this!
I’ve played Dark Moon multiple times, and yet I’ve only seen half of these. They must be RARE rare, unless each mission has only some of these animations to pick from, provided it shows a rare one at all.
I remember getting these and noticing that they were a little rare. I almost thought I dreamed them up because I never got them again!
I've only seen the Hat-less Luigi one, shockingly enough.
"A million pieces takes a long time to put back together."
I got the first one a lot
HOW DO I HAVE A FILE WITH 400 HOURS PUT IN AND NEVER SEEN THAT LAST ONE?!?!
This game is so cool!
We are back!
Ok but for the first one how strong is that strobulb because it was holding luigi’s weight
I thought it was called the Pixelshifter?
It’s called the Pixelshifter in the European version. In the North American version it’s called the Pixelator
I feel like the hat one has to be the rarest one, because I have encountered it in game in one of the old clockwork missions, and I have never seen it since (this might have taken place in late 2013, but I can’t quite remember)
I've encontered every one of them, except the last one. Didn't know it exicted.

Ah yes totally rare I went through all the missions and all the animations were the same from the video

wow i don't think ive ever seen the last one before
Also you forgot to add in desc that the pixelation cutscene where luigi lands on his butt and look around with his flashlight is also used on the mission called Showtime
oop you’re right, thanks for reminding me!
@@OrangeLuigi fun fact: the second pixelation scene of this vid is used as the pixelation scene of the bonus mission of gloomy manor but luigi says differents things
@@OrangeLuigi i also found out that most of the pixeshifting cutscenes of bonus missions are used from others missions
Here’s my list of the bonus missions that reused an pixelshifting cutscene from another mission:
Haunted towers’s bonus mission reuse b-5 pixelshifting cutscene
Old clockworks’s bonus mission reuse c-1 pixelshifting cutscene
Treacherous mansion’s one reuse severe infastation’s pixelshifting cutscene

@@OrangeLuigi Oh. Actually speaking of Poltergeists, can you confirm something to me? I remember seeing early footage of Dark Moon where the stairs in the Gloomy Manor were turned into a slide by a Poltergeist instead of a Hider. And I've been going mad trying to confirm that!

That’s a common animation that plays.

I’ve never seen the last one
I have seen all of these before. So much memories come back to me playing this game
I accidentally discovered the one for gloomy manor, after constantly restarting A-2, thinking i was doing something wrong 😂
I didn't even know that the one for Treacherous Mansion existed 😭
They’re rare?
Sure are! They’re rare scenes that aren’t normally seen by a lot of players.
Let's be honest, Dark moon has the best bosses out of all the three.
Design wise nah, atleast the 1st and the 3rd game have unique looking bosses.
@@rxntei4019 the bosses are literally just people as ghosts. The fights are the best in dark moon
@@nikkari5780 While also having the worst one of the series being the secret mine boss. I'll play the LM1 Boolossus fight over that one any day.
@@nikkari5780although I love Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon I’m gonna have to disagree. Luigi’s Mansion 3’s bosses were better by miles. They all had unique gimmicks and fun battles.
@@Djdog1208 the bosses in dark moon are the best in my opinion, net neccecarily because the fights are fun. None of them are in any luigi's mansion game, for the reason of them taking like 20 seconds per fight. But dark moon had the best boss designs out of them all. The possessors aren't that cool but the things they posses and change are cool.
The first one happened in Chugga's LP!
so did the last one during Paranormal Chaos lol
