Mighty Joe by the way was a Nigerian pirate who was captured and publicly killed by the Nigerian government in 1973. My uncle actually saw the firing squad shoot him. They shot him with assault rifles. My uncle would’ve only been maybe 13 at the time. My dad and uncle used to live all over the world because my grandpa worked at Exon oil so they lived in Nigeria for a while and Indonesia for a while. They just happened to be in Nigeria when Mighty Joe was executed. That’s why I put Mighty Joe in the thumbnail.

Kelltron Yeah he’s no girardi but I give him credit for how he managed the team with all the injuries, but last years ALDS, not sure the Yankees could have beaten the Red Sox but boone did a terrible job managing the starting pitchers, I honestly think it goes to 5 games if he had managed it better and who knows who wins then.

I miss Joe. He was never analytically driven. Always made decisions by gut. Fired up his team. Got in the faces of umpires. We need some more fire. Girardi definitely had balls. Plus, he would always discipline his players.
I wouldn't say he was never analytically driven. His nickname was Binder Joe lmao. A lot of his moves were analytically driven, however he did make certain moves via gut instinct which is officially getting wiped out of the game, well that and paying managers big money

The greatest one was the Ryan Dempster incident. Absolutely ridiculous that Dempster wasn't ejected after throwing at A-Rod 3 times. And of course A-Rod went deep later in the game and took his sweet time around the bases...beautiful.

I miss how sports used to be in the late 2000s to the early 2010s. They were so good. I loved to watch pitchers toss over 100 pitches a game. I loved watching cars get fixed up and look like a tin can held together with glue in nascar. Now everything’s boring😂
