Graham MacTavish is one of the nicest and friendliest Scottish actors you’ll ever meet, but when he gets into character, namely Zoran Lazarevic, he is downright terrifying! Even Nolan North, Emily Rose and Claudia Black were afraid of him during the acting sessions.
No. He’s just so absurdly evil you can’t take him seriously. And it doesn’t make sense why his men are loyal to him even though he mercilessly slaughters his own crew when they become a bother to him.
You are so right. He is very clicheed with his bald head and over the top evil doing that at one point you can't take him seriously. Lazarevic lacks clearly deephts in his persona. I think naughty dog went here for more grittyness and violence with him instead of charachter development and substance.

He was an enemy of NATO and throughout the years he’s definitely gone crazier. Yes he’s a cliche villain but a good one IMO.
+awesometacular Lazarevic would already kill Drake at 3:24 after he got what he needed without telling his mercenaries to kill him. It's ridiculous story but whatevs, story without Drake would suck anyway.
He really brought fear to nate unlike the other villains who only brought him anger and annoyance. just listen to his shaky voice when he says "the answer you're looking for" in jeff's death cutscene
Definitely the best Uncharted villain. You can see how he really got under Nate's skin in these cutscenes too. Perfect example of how to do a truly menacing and intimidating villain, the way he exploits Drake's personal flaws and threatens his relationships in such a cavalier but direct way.
I'm 100% sure that's a The Usual Suspects reference, I love it because it compares Lazarević to the "villain" in that movie who was an borderline devil-like urban legend of a man with no supernatural element.

Zoran and Rafe are the best ones. They both have different personalities on which they excel. Zoran is ruthless and destructive. Rafe is cunning and manipulative. And they both make themselves one hell of a threat.
@@daph0307 I agree that he's incompetent, but I think that's intentional and why he works so well as a villain. the entire game he tries to prove to himself that there's more to him than just a rich boy that inherited his father's fortune, that he can get to avery's treasure without needing nathan and apparently spends years tracking it down, all the while learning about nathan's exploits and feats. and when he keeps failing (because of nate as well, to add insult to injury) he gradually loses the plot until he completely snaps in the end. the fact he loses and dies in a kinda anticlimactic way is fitting imo

Such a great villain. Expected him to be just some boring grunt but he turned out a very articulate and interesting villain. I had the same expectation for Asav who also surprised me.
Not the most complex villains of the series, but sure as shit he was the most threatening. Everytime he appeared on the screen I legit almost shat myself. Props to Graham MacTavish for such a brilliant performance.
I think they should have made the boss fight a little more intense and epic, having him show off his new power, strength, and durability a little better. Maybe have him dominate Drake in hand to hand combat, and swing and toss around boulders and pillars.
Try fighting him unarmed he tosses Drake away Luke nothing lol it does show his incredible strength. I do wish there was a bit more to the last boss fight but it still portrayed his new abilities fairly well.

Yeah, Rafe is a dark parallelism of Nate, sure...but Lazarevic was a mad man one step away from becoming the next Stalin, Hitler or Gengis Kahn. Nate REALLY saved the world. Also, even if stereotyped, the way he speaks/acts and the energy the voice actor put into it (DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!) really give him personality and flavour of character. Best villain of the Uncharted series, no questions asked 🎉

I love everything about this villain exept the scene where he makes drake choose between Elena and Chloe, as bone chilling as it is, the fact that he just changes his mind and both make it out unscathed just reminds me how invincible most of these characters are
This does not get the credits it deserves. Out of all the characters to points out what hes been doing. Lazarevic is the only 1 who gives the character and the player a small snapback and says "you killed alot of people in 1 day" and there were 2 more games layter on😂
This guy is my favorite big bad of the uncharted series. A merciless warlord that seeks power and shows drake his side of things “no compassion no mercy”. His boss fight is scary and awesome. I’m not a fan of Marlowe or Rafe in terms of big bads. Talbot and Navarro boss fights are weak imo. I must admit I like Navarro as a big bad as he seemed to sell a biological weapon and Rafe as the final boss to drake.

All I'm saying is, he went out fighting. And gave a good show. Even if it was only 15 minutes in total. That 15 minutes of character devolopment was more impressive than some whole games. Roman got backstabbed and marlowe's death was definitely forgettable. Def best villan imo.

@@JeremyF09 correct. As seen by shotgun blasts from Zoran's Sawed-Off, Guardians can only regenerate so much. The chunk of flesh buckshot would take out being a prime example. So yeah, they basically pummeled and ripped him apart, Crushing his chest.
