Reading "my tank was feeding" really made my eyes roll cause we can all improve. Then the first play happened and I laughed thinking "ok there's some truth to this lol." But yeah, lots of room for improvement for this player.
It's just pointless in general to think like that especially in the moment. Better to look at it as I can't keep the tank alive with my current playstyle can I adjust that style or swap supports to keep tank alive. If not then what can I do to make up for the tank's deaths can I keep the dps up more to make up for the lack? At least that's my opinion on blaming others since you can only control your own actions.
It's a team game. Your TEAM does actions that result in either a win or loss. Sure you can focus some on yourself but at some point when you've tried everything you can think of, it literally can't be just your fault@@skittlemenow

Blaming or being upset with the rest of the team won't help you in the moment it's just a distraction. You can only change and adjust your own actions. After the game you can consider whether or not the rest of the team failed or not.
You can only improve yourself so much before the outcome gets taken out of your hands. This "JusT ImPRovE YourSELf" phrase only works up until a point. A tank feeding is a tank feeding. The best I can do is go lifeweaver and hope he knows why I'm pulling his ass back. And while I'm feeding my healing into him feeding into the other team then the rest of the team is losing out on heals. Tanks also have to carry their weight. If they're just running out of range into teams and achieving nothing then they need improve themselves because there's only so much 1 person can do in a TEAM GAME
they held their ults for way too long - they also barely used their lamp if your bap ult or ana ult can turn a fight, use it and they need to make sure their healing counts, they were wasting a lot of ammo and ended up not healing their teammates even when they intended to lol
@@brandoncole5533I’m masters console. They definitely are. On PC using a mouse you can be far more accurate, from what I’ve seen people like to mald about how console gets aim assist. Tbh though, around 17:30, in cringing at this guys Ana. He needs to swap back to bap, or better yet play Zen as he can give orbs that heal with no aim requirements.
As a gold Ana player, this hurts my soul. They’re just lost constantly instead of moving with the team. They don’t heal, everyone dies. Then they stagger as they move back 10+ meters giving the other team more space. They spend too much time doing nothing, I’d be not very happy with my teammate if they did this
And the person is taking 100 years to make decisions. The awareness of cooldowns is non-existent. If Emongg said, that this is bronze 1 gameplay, I would have believed that. I am a support main too (Ana, Bap, Moira in rotation atm) and especially with Ana, you can enable so much within a round. Holding on nano for dozen minutes just made me anxious hahahaha
They got half of the healing stats they should have had. It's fine if they want to go for damage when the enemy is still very far away but they have to focus heals when they are in their face
@@Antonio-ys5zd Support dps is best when peeling with another player. Be it the other support fighting off a flank or throwing in a few points with your dps or tank to focus fire an enemy.
Even I went like 'Nano your Dva/ Turret Bast!' during third round overtime. It's always all or nothing mentality for me there if no ult is used as last resort (and used wisely).
I think it's jsut a combo of low reaction time and bad mechanics that means they get immensely overwhelmed if they have to do any more than one thing at a time. Overshooting heals left and right, allies fall over any time they go for even a slight bit of dps. Yea, they're just immensely mechanically troubled. They could probably play better on Brig
It looks like controller, not keyboard and mouse. You can see the little flicks and the aim assist working. Much harder to do shoot-shoot-heal, unless you line up your teammates with your enemies. When I switch back to controller to play on console with friends, I can't do the things I usually do.

You make good points in many ways, but at other times, some of the things you griped about...like no one has perfect awareness 100% of the time. Like when you were screaming at him to use nano, there was no way he could have known the Orisa would use a spear to knock him out of LOS to where he wouldn't be able to use the nano in time. No one is in perfect control of the situation, a lot of it is reactive.
i almost never see people hold server in diamond and lower, and it really is dominant on this map, makes for easy first point when nobody goes there ever
1.) 2:55 Orisa wasted fortify 1v1ing an Ana at distance -couldve used when the bomb came if they didn't use it earlier. 2.) 3:08 Went back and saw Orisa did javelin spin to try and escape the bomb, but they tried to cross the exposed highground instead of staying behind their original cover. 3.) Lamp is one of the longest cooldowns in the game. Yes I agree he could have healed her, but I don't agree that a 25sec cooldown needed to be used for that. So yes, bad decision making on both parts, but not fair to put it entirely on Bap here.
@@RandomCivilianswhen you ask someone to look at a replay, you want them to give you good advice you can implement in your future games. you want to learn something. so if someone just fixates on what your teammates did wrong, that's useless to you. it doesn't help you learn, it doesn't shed light on situations where you could have changed the outcome of a team fight or round. it's counterproductive. instead, a good replay viewer will give you feedback like this. they will tell you "you could have prevented this teammates death by doing X" because that is useful information. whether your teammate could have or should have done something different is 1000% irrelevant because you don't control what your teammates do. you do, however, control what YOU do hopefully this helps you adjust your expectations for the advice given in spectating videos! it's about providing help to the submitter by letting them know things they could have done differently so they can be a more impactful teammate in the future.

Knowing your teammates cooldowns is completely relevant because if he had healed the orisa he would have needed it for the enemy retake on low ground. He can control what he does, but having all the information before making a decision is key, like how emongg likes to point out when people just use their abilities to press buttons on cooldown just because they're available. The criticism can still be constructive by making the asking player aware of their teammates playstyles. If your orisa is using everything on cooldown and pushing out of position doesn't mean you should.

I feel like I’ve had this guy on my team when I’m tank and it is rough. It’s like they watch tips and tricks vids and try to apply everything as much as possible but at all the wrong times and wrong situations. So many things to list off they’re doing wrong that in a game when you’ve got everything else to worry about you can’t even put the words together to explain to them what all they need to change. This vid kinda helped though seeing it like this (instead of through death spectator lol) because from now on my advice to these players is just stop overthinking and play your role.
That person is still in your rank for a reason. You HAVE to adjust. Since they're not making positioning adjustments, you have to be mindful of their LOS and hyper focus on staying in it so you can get sufficient heals as opposed to diving as much.

The other day I dropped 3 ranks because I got disconnected for like a minute, rejoined and won and went on to win the next 4 games but on placement only the penalty counts

people like this get carried to ranks they shouldn’t be in and this is why in your match you either steamroll or get steamrolled. every time im climbing, it usually feels less like my enemies are getting better and more like my teammates get worse.
if you want to climb further, focusing on yourself and your mistakes will be a lot more productive and useful than fixating on what your teammates are supposedly doing wrong. also, you might feel that way because you dont understand why your teammates in a higher tank do certain things so you think they're playing badly when they're actually making the right choices and you're the one who needs to catch up and learn.
i think this is some kinda byproduct of the participation trophy generation, you can never blame anyone for anything except yourself in some kind of spiritual growth enlightenment garbage. the cold hard truth is not everyone is cut out for competitive anything. some people have poor game sense, poor coordination, inability to focus on a task, etc etc. they shouldnt leave qp but they do... honestly idk what the solution is because if everyone on both teams was actually the same skill every game would be an hour long stress fest trying to win in overtime. there needs to be a winner and a loser. pretty sure matchmaker knows this. @@sethescope
@@sethescopeIt really sounds like he isn't good and blames others. But some times I have a feeling that most of the time I get the worse team mates. For example an Ash who miss 5 shots in close range and die, Dps Zen and Moira and my favorite tanks and dps who run into a 1 vs 5 (most of the time they have bastion) and blames the support.

A few months back I deleted OW2. Yesterday I saw my OW disc and figured why not I played a total of 7 ranked games (in gold) 6 of them I had a late game quitter on my team and the last an enemy that quit after they lost first fight (of course the match resets and the rest of the 4 on the enemy team don’t get a lose) I quickly remembered why I again deleted that cancer
I don't know about yall but all i saw was a support who tried to damage the whole game without trying to heal his tank and when the tank died he blamed him of feeding, Don't get me wrong tank was feeding at the beginning and i think it was 2nd point attack and tank need to work on positioning and timing but how do you expect me and my people to live and help you live if you won't look at us and keep us up?
@@jrpgnation6375 I'm going to give you a piece of advice that I wish someone had given me years ago - if you have good positioning as a support, you won't need your teammates to peel for you. and if you have good positioning, your team will actually be able to peel for you. you can't control whether your team will turn around for you, but you can control whether you position well. I say, focus on what's in your control and save yourself with good positioning
because they know ultimates are powerful and don't want to waste them. they may also not understand all the situations where using an ultimate can be a good idea. it's not that hard to understand lol
The tank bias is kinda crazy in this vod review. Ana in overtime made a great play getting first pick on mercy and dva just stood there and absorbed as much damage as possible without using their fly to get to where the Ana was and Emongg blamed Ana. (Not to say this person wasn’t randomly afk at times). I also think the spam heal your tank is bad advice, they did that in the spawn doors and had no ammo when the tank left safety. Gibraltar first is so hard in metal ranks on support because no one has good positioning on either team so it’s just chaos.
Their tanks positioning was pretty bad, but Ana also dropped off the high ground and missed at least 5 of her shots trying to save him which led to the tanks death. Regardless of whether or not it was Ana’s fault if you want to get out of metal ranks you have to not crack under pressure which is exactly what happened.
how does advice like "your tank sucked, there is nothing you could have done differently" help this player learn? fault and blame are useless concepts. if you truly want to improve and climb, it's not about who's ultimately to blame for a situation. it's all about understanding all the different mistakes you made that contributed to the outcome. maybe their mistakes didn't matter too much in this specific game, but they WILL matter in a different game, so it's important to understand the mistakes you make in every game you play. you have to be your own worst critic.

@@Noisivus don't worry, I don't feel called out lol I'm much more highly ranked than you so we aren't in the same lobbies. but you're huffing a very common type of copium, you have this need to believe you're better than the people you're playing with so you are going to use anything necessary to support that belief. you're not going to acknowledge the moments when you mess up or give them equal weight because those moments contradict your belief. happens all the time.

This video is just everyone messed up, tank got too aggressive at important moments and support was either out of position or wasn’t healing the tank
people like this get carried to ranks they shouldn’t be in and this is why in your match you either steamroll or get steamrolled. every time im climbing, it usually feels less like my enemies are getting better and more like my teammates get worse.
if you want to climb further, focusing on yourself and your mistakes will be a lot more productive and useful than fixating on what your teammates are supposedly doing wrong.
also, you might feel that way because you dont understand why your teammates in a higher tank do certain things so you think they're playing badly when they're actually making the right choices and you're the one who needs to catch up and learn.
i think this is some kinda byproduct of the participation trophy generation, you can never blame anyone for anything except yourself in some kind of spiritual growth enlightenment garbage. the cold hard truth is not everyone is cut out for competitive anything. some people have poor game sense, poor coordination, inability to focus on a task, etc etc. they shouldnt leave qp but they do... honestly idk what the solution is because if everyone on both teams was actually the same skill every game would be an hour long stress fest trying to win in overtime. there needs to be a winner and a loser. pretty sure matchmaker knows this. @@sethescope
@@sethescopeIt really sounds like he isn't good and blames others. But some times I have a feeling that most of the time I get the worse team mates. For example an Ash who miss 5 shots in close range and die, Dps Zen and Moira and my favorite tanks and dps who run into a 1 vs 5 (most of the time they have bastion) and blames the support.
I hate that this is Gold cuz his Sensitivity on xbox is HORRIBLE while mine is fast and accurate on Zen/Junkrat/Rein

Yesterday I saw my OW disc and figured why not I played a total of 7 ranked games (in gold) 6 of them I had a late game quitter on my team and the last an enemy that quit after they lost first fight (of course the match resets and the rest of the 4 on the enemy team don’t get a lose) I quickly remembered why I again deleted that cancer

I don't know about yall but all i saw was a support who tried to damage the whole game without trying to heal his tank and when the tank died he blamed him of feeding, Don't get me wrong tank was feeding at the beginning and i think it was 2nd point attack and tank need to work on positioning and timing but how do you expect me and my people to live and help you live if you won't look at us and keep us up?

@@jrpgnation6375 I'm going to give you a piece of advice that I wish someone had given me years ago - if you have good positioning as a support, you won't need your teammates to peel for you. and if you have good positioning, your team will actually be able to peel for you.
you can't control whether your team will turn around for you, but you can control whether you position well. I say, focus on what's in your control and save yourself with good positioning

The tank bias is kinda crazy in this vod review. Ana in overtime made a great play getting first pick on mercy and dva just stood there and absorbed as much damage as possible without using their fly to get to where the Ana was and Emongg blamed Ana. (Not to say this person wasn’t randomly afk at times). I also think the spam heal your tank is bad advice, they did that in the spawn doors and had no ammo when the tank left safety. Gibraltar first is so hard in metal ranks on support because no one has good positioning on either team so it’s just chaos.
Their tanks positioning was pretty bad, but Ana also dropped off the high ground and missed at least 5 of her shots trying to save him which led to the tanks death. Regardless of whether or not it was Ana’s fault if you want to get out of metal ranks you have to not crack under pressure which is exactly what happened.
how does advice like "your tank sucked, there is nothing you could have done differently" help this player learn?
fault and blame are useless concepts. if you truly want to improve and climb, it's not about who's ultimately to blame for a situation. it's all about understanding all the different mistakes you made that contributed to the outcome. maybe their mistakes didn't matter too much in this specific game, but they WILL matter in a different game, so it's important to understand the mistakes you make in every game you play. you have to be your own worst critic.

it's called a joke, my friend. the green screen is SUPPOSED to be scuffed. the overwhelming majority of the community thinks the bad green screen is hilarious and charming. the scuffed nature is a feature, not a bug. it's supposed to be bad. hopefully this clears things up for you!
