I was always told: "NEVER date a man who doesn't have a job, his own place to live, reliable transportation. If he doesn't have these 3 things, he is not RESPONSIBLE; and do not marry him!!

@@AndrewHarriston Make sure she is the same. Never date a woman who is in debt, financially irresponsible, superficial, relies on you entirely for money (unless she has kids and you’ve both agreed on her being main caretaker) etc. Ideally in this day and age you should both work and provide.
I met a guy who had all those 3 things and within a few months after we started dating, he was on the verge of eviction and actually got evicted and had to go to court and get rental assistance. Mind you this man had no kids or other responsibilities other than himself. I had to help him with a portion of his rent, twice (which was VERY stupid of me). He lost his job after that because he got fired and also got his car towed after riding around with an expired tag for almost a year. I called myself trying to be supportive of this FOOL, and even helped him get his car back. He couldn't hold down a job and started being a burden so I left him.
Another guy I knew for years had his own car, place, and occupation for the longest and after the pandemic he couldn't hold himself up anymore because he chose to sit on unemployment. He used to sell weed and that was the main source of his income but after the dispensaries started opening up, he was shit out of luck and had to go back to having a regular job which didn't support the lifestyle he had while he sold weed. He went from having high priced things to living in a run down apartment complex with only the car, shoes, clothes, and Jewelry he had when he was a drug dealer. He was on the verge of eviction as well. That was the first time I ever saw him cry in the 10 years I had known him. Neither of these men ever helped me pay any of my bills yet expected help from a woman.
Moral of the story is, don't be a dumbass like me and think that just because a man APPEARS to have his ish together, he must be stable. He probably had help before you came in the picture.

Yes, I supported a toxic mean man for decades. He was totally disrespectful and my self esteem was so low, I believed I deserved his treatment. Thank God one day I got strength from somewhere and kicked his sorry but out my house.

Back in the 1960s this happened to my mom's best friend. She graduated from college and started working as a schoolteacher. The friend married her college sweetheart and she financially supported him for 8 years while he went to medical school. He divorced her after becoming a MD and immediately married another woman. While growing up, my Mom always told me and my sister this story to remind us to never financially support a man, even if he is your husband. And if he wants to go back to school, he still needs to work full time to provide for his family.

Once he graduated he got involved with a younger woman. He broke her heart. At 55 yrs old she wood sometimes remember and fall apart crying. I was a young women. She never had children.

This is facts. My first husband treated me horribly after he completed his third college degree. When I met him he did not have a high school diploma. Through my encouragement and support, he got his GED, the his three degrees. He totally changed after he became a little successful and had the nerve to tell me my first degree was nothing and it would amount to nothing. I have three college degrees too. He met me while I was in my second year of college. Listen, build yourself ladies. Sometimes we are not treated right or respected even though we help and build them.

I found myself helping a man in my 40s because he was a single dad😭😂😢 I have never in my life done this because I already knew what the result would be but yet there I was and it was so painful because I knew I was being used but I enjoyed him 😢 I finally woke up and cut off the money train and he faded away!
Oan: dating a guy now who fully supports me! Pays for all my maintenance and all my car maintenance too ❤ For Christmas we went out shopping for my grands and he picked up a skully cap for 12 bucks and I said to the cashier “ add that to my tab” looked at him and said merry Christmas and he was over the moon for that!! I’m the prize.. he takes care of me and doesn’t want me to spend a dime!

She’s constantly running around trying to make sure he has everything he wants. And he doesn’t appreciate it! It’s so disgusting! Another friend met her so called man on line and he’s milking her so bad. He claims that he’s going through a divorce and responsible for 2 households. I was supporting his dream, not ours! Now I've cut away the dead wood, I will NEVER give another man a red cent of my hard-earned money... I'd rather stay single! Yes I totally agree. If you put him through school I can almost guarantee once he graduates he will leave you. I had a man brag to me about how he used an ex in this exact same way. With age comes wisdom ❤️ I’m just learning these things. We as women especially black women was taught to hold a man down🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I wish I had wised up years ago!!!!!! Better late than never.
By all means, no woman needs to be in an abusive or unbalanced 'marriage' or 'romantic' relationship.
However, this whole advice being given in this video may be applicable to only few cultural context (where women are usually taken undue advantage of). But it cannot be misconstrued as general. Because there are so many cultures throughout the world that this advice will never be applicable to.
These teachings or advice being given in this video may be very misleading and sounds like a woman sharing her thoughts out of random painful experiences.
Non of these advice is biblical. Most times, it's women with failed marriage relationships that speak this way.

This is the truth! I have fallen victim to this whole truth. I'm in remission now. I have noticed and spoke how men want reverse roles. It is crazy , that's why I'm single and more alert than before.
I never let a man use me,never. When I met my hubby he wasn't financially stable,he couldn't even give me a proper outing,I was working but never gave him my money. Now he earns ten times more than me and he takes care of everything in our home. I've never serviced or fueled my car,he does it for me and he would still gift me money.

I’m 28 and I recently met an older man he’s 41 but I think he’s older anyways… He started asking me so many questions on day 1 about where do I work and what’s my position, I told him I don’t work and he disappeared so fast and that’s when I knew he was after my money. He saw how well put together I was and I have a designer dog. He’s looking for a young fool because mature women are already hip to his game. I learned from my grandparents they raised me old school so men don’t like me they can pick up on my mature demeanor they back away quick , I texted him saying “ I hope all is well” and he never responded and it’s been two weeks now 🤣

Everything this woman is saying is right. I experience everything she said. I was supporting a man through tough times because his father died of C19.. he was back up on funds to support his finance..once he got back on his feet or nearly doing better he told me in my face..he never wanted me.. those words hurt worst than a knife ...it was so sad .. every one who knew him and I said..I was always there for him and supporting him.. but I got to the point where I blocked him and moved on.. he is a real definition of a heartless narcissist... He moved on like I wasn't even there.. just taking things day by day and praying daily...not worth it..there going to pick who they want at the end once they get upgraded..it's best to let them go out there and get it done

This woman is a treasure cave of wisdom. Everything she said is so true. I've been used, and wasted time with dusty men in the past. They are nothing but an emotional, spiritual and financial drain. I wish all woman and young girls could listen this. Please moms teacher your daughters things like this. I don’t understand why even some woman have to book all appointments for men, and for them as a child... You can do it one or twice or even for both of you, but everything when she’s already very busy with children and he’s got more time?
